Book excerpt:  Lifting the Veil of Duality

The following eight lessons can serve as signposts along your spiritual journey. Refer to them often and allow their wisdom to come to your attention on a daily basis. You will then find that living without judgment, the resulting mastery of life will become more and more you as you journey on.

Eight Lessons for Living without Judgment

  1. Consciously give meaning to and bless whatever happens to you.Victim No More
Whatever meaning you attach to an event or situation literally forms your reality. Free will or freedom of choice is your greatest gift. It even allows you to give new meaning to things that have already passed, thereby altering your present and your future reality. Being the ultimate master of your destiny, consciously create the attitude that every moment in your life is a Divine moment, blessed with momentous opportunities for growth and learning. There may be days when you feel depressed or ill and you don’t understand why. Allow these changes to occur and give them the meanings that you like the most. Realize that all changes are helping you to learn and grow, and are so good for you. If you are suffering from ‘battle fatigue’, know that there is no need for you to battle anymore. Let go of the old, for it only tires you. This creates the space for the new to emerge. If the Divine moment brings you uncertainty and confusion, then allow it to be, and wait until clarity dawns. There is perfect timing in everything.
  2. Know that there are no negative or positive events, people or situations in life.
They only come disguised as such. All of them are there to assist you in reaching your full integration with your Higher Self. There is no real separation or distinction in the universe, only change of form for the best of all. Know yourself to be loved beyond limitation, for everything that you are represents a piece of the giant jigsaw puzzle of life. The struggles and polarities you need to go through to help build this larger picture matter very little. What matters is that you are always an essential part of it, no matter how happy or sad life may appear to you. You are precious in every respect. Outer appearances are deceptive and do not reveal your Divine nature. Feel this in your heart, for knowing this within is your doorway to freedom, happiness and all possibilities.
  3. Welcome, accept, celebrate and express gratitude for everything that occurs in your life.
There is nothing more perfect than what each current moment brings into your life, so why judge and lament over what already is in your best interest? See through the illusion of appearances and recognize that you are orchestrating your life for your own highest good, regardless of how useful or useless something may appear to be. Insist that all is well and know that very often the best things in life come disguised as misfortunes. Look at all your resistances in life and bless them until they dissipate. Avoid limitations in your heart that allow it to flow only in one or two directions, otherwise your heart can never be open and free. Be a blessing to all and insist that all is well. And if, for the time being, you cannot see the larger picture, trust that your Higher Self is mighty enough to take care of everything in the best possible way.Andreas speaks about “Obstacles can be a blessing in disguise”

  4. Be encouraged when things don’t move in accordance with your wishes.
Not having the things your ego desires can serve you well and bring you closer to your essence self, which has no attachment to anything. Freedom will dawn when you desire nothing but gain everything. Having no more expectations (offshoots of fear) liberates your soul and brings you the greatest treasures imaginable. Trust there is a larger picture for everything you do. You have designed it for yourself and with others. In this larger picture, you are always protected and never alone, even if you go through ‘the dark night of the soul’. Losing everything you believe you cannot be without helps you ‘find’ yourself, which is the greatest discovery you could ever make. So be grateful for all the losses in your life, for they have brought you closer to knowing who you are.
  5. Consciously allow yourself to be judgmental.
This puts you in touch with the fears and beliefs that urge you to pass judgments. Judgment has been your tool to grow in the world of duality; it has brought you the most important lessons in your life. Bless it with your love and gratitude and accept it for the role it has played for you. It has had its purpose but you no longer need it now. Fighting, struggling against, or resisting anything or anyone only sustains the prison of duality and the need for further judgment. Whatever you deny others or do not like in them, give yourself permission to do yourself and you will no longer see it to be a reason for concern or annoyance. Dare to make mistakes. Release the fear of creating something new in your life and release it out with your breath. Give up the idea that you need to struggle against the odds of life. Instead, just give in to everything you resist and the need for judgment will leave you in the same way a feather is carried away by the wind.
  6. Look at the double spiral symbol to remind your soul of the larger picture of things.
The opposing spirals of duality are eternally united in the brilliant gap of pure being – the Self. Whether you consider events to be positive or negative, right or wrong, good or bad, etc., they all come from and lead back to the eternal gap of the Divine moment, which is the connection to your Higher Self. It matters not which route you take. You need not try to be a good person to deserve enlightenment. Duality is your friend whose only purpose is to take you home where you belong, to be your true Self and to be true to your Self. Learn from all your experiences even if they seem unfavorable and harsh, and know that you are safe, always. And remember, there is no one who truly judges you, except you.
    Living without Judgement
  7. Treat your body as best as you can, for it is your doorway to heaven, the temple of God within. You are God just as a wave of the sea is the sea. Everything you do to assist your body and increase its purity is considered a gift of love to the universe, your Higher Self. Cleanse your organs of impurities, feed your body well with natural foods and give it sufficient rest. Treat every part of your body with utmost respect and honor, and it will reward you with joy, happiness and vitality for as long as you desire.
  8. Know that you are the master who has taken on the role of a student.
You have always been the executive director of your life, for the Universal Law of Non-Interference prevents it from being any other way. This has steered your life to the point where it is now. Bless all of it because every breath you took and every moment you perceived were all for your own highest good. Whatever meaning you have attached to an event or situation has become your reality. Free Will or freedom of choice has so far been your greatest gift. It served you as a tool to create things that weren’t there before and it also allowed you to explore and learn from all the complexities and simplicities of life in duality. Free will even allowed you to give new meanings to things that are in your past now. Because of these new meanings, your changed attitude and understanding about your past has altered both your present and your future reality. Through all of this, you have learned that you are not a slave to destiny, but its master. Being the master of your destiny you can now decree that every moment in your life is a Divine moment, blessed with momentous opportunities for growth and learning. All that is required from you now is to become Divine Will, which is the will of your Universal Self or God Self. The beautiful thing about being Divine Will is that nothing is required of you except to be who you already are. Breathe in your own Divinity and radiate it out wherever you go. You no longer need to seek guidance outside yourself to be safe and well. While free will helps you to navigate the field of duality, Divine Will allows you to step out of it and forever enjoy the personified freedom of Eternal Oneness. Above all, choose joy in everything you do, for joy is your anchor to the one and only Source of life.
