Hi, this is a Facebook question about hydration, and the person says every night I wakes up to drink water because I am very thirsty and very dehydrated. I know it can be a symptom of diabetes, it can also indicate chronic kidney failure, deficiency of iron, Crohn’s disease or Schroder syndrome and he is wondering what else he can do? He has done three liver flushes and he feels better in many respects but this particular problem is not resolved yet.

I would recommend you do a kidney cleanse, then you can do a second kidney cleanse about six to eight weeks after the first one, and this should to help dissolve crystal and stones in the kidneys which will allow your water metabolism to improve so that you have better absorption of water into the cells of your body. The kidneys are the water regulating organs and any lack of electrolytes can be due to kidneys not functioning properly. So, as a first thing, do the kidney cleanse, put some lemon in some of your drinking water, you can drink up to two… juice of two lemons a day, this will also help to increase kidney functions and remove crystals not just from the kidneys but also from tissues in the body such as joint tissues and from softer tissues in the chest for example, so, all of that can improve the uptake of water into the cells so that it is signaling back to your brain in the middle of the night will become less, the signal of thirst I mean, and so, this way you will probably feel you sleep throughout the night without feeling thirsty.

The time when you wake up, that is the time to drink a glass of warm water, should be warm, not cold, warm water gets absorbed very quickly and then drink another glass of warm water with a teaspoon of honey and the juice of a slice or two or three of fresh lemon which will also help to cleanse the kidneys and cleanse the gastro intestinal tract and open up the channels of circulation, this way, you will have better hydration. You may also add a pinch of salt to some of your drinking water to increase the process of re-hydration because the sodium and the minerals that is in the salt, this should be unrefined sea salt or rock salt and not the regular table salt that you find in supermarkets. So when you do that you should feel better hydrated and soon the thirst that you experience in the middle of the night should subside.

Liver cleansing, obviously you continue doing that, because that will improve kidney functions as well, and the digestive functions as well, which all help with the proper absorption of water through the large intestine and because that is the place where most water gets absorbed, then you will have once again a better chance for proper hydration and less thirst in the middle of the night.
