Keeping The Liver And Gallbladder Free of Gallstones Helps Normalize Digestion And Elimination

The small intestine is continuous with the stomach at the pyloric sphincter and has a length of 16-19 feet (5-6 meters). It leads into the large intestine, which is about 3.5-5 feet (1-1.5 meters) long. The small intestine secretes intestinal juice to complete digestion of carbohydrates, protein and fats. It also absorbs nutrient materials necessary for nourishing and maintaining the body, and protects it against infection by microbes that have survived the anti-microbial action of hydrochloric acid in the stomach.

When acid food (chyme) from the stomach enters the duodenum, it is first mixed with bile and pancreatic juice, and then with intestinal juice. Gallstones in the liver and gallbladder drastically reduce secretion of bile, which weakens the ability of pancreatic enzymes to digest carbohydrates, protein and fat. This, in turn, restrains the small intestine from properly absorbing the nutrient components of these foods (e.g. monosaccharides from carbohydrates, amino acids from protein, and fatty acids and glycerol from fats).

Since the presence of bile in the intestines is essential for the absorption of fats, calcium and Vitamin K, gallstones can lead to life-threatening diseases, such as heart disease, osteoporosis and cancer. The liver uses the fat-soluble Vitamin K to produce the compounds responsible for the clotting of blood. In case of poor Vitamin K absorption, hemorrhagic disease may result. This vitamin cannot be adequately absorbed if there is any problem with fat digestion, due to lack of bile, pancreatic lipase and a certain amount of pancreatic fat. For the latter reason, following a low-fat diet can endanger one’s life.

Calcium is essential for the hardening of bone and teeth, the coagulation of blood and the mechanism of muscle contraction. What applies to Vitamin K also applies to all other fat-soluble vitamins, including Vitamin A, E and D. Vitamin A and carotene are also only absorbed sufficiently from the small intestine if fat absorption is normal. If Vitamin A absorption is inefficient, the epithelial cells become damaged. These cells form an essential part of all the organs, blood vessels, lymph vessels, etc. in the body. Vitamin A is also necessary to maintain healthy eyes and protect against or reduce microbial infection. Vitamin D is essential for calcification of bones and teeth. It may be noted at this point that supplementing these vitamins does not resolve the problem of deficiency.

To sum up, without normal bile secretions, these vitamins are not digested and absorbed properly and, therefore, can cause considerable damage to the lymphatic and urinary systems.

Inadequately digested foods tend to ferment and putrefy in the small and large intestines. They attract a vast number of bacteria to help speed up the process of decomposition. The breakdown products are often very toxic and so are the chemicals produced by the bacteria. All of this strongly irritates the mucous lining, which is one of the body’s foremost defense lines against disease-causing agents. Regular exposure to these toxins impairs the body’s immune system, 60% of which is located in the intestines. Overburdened by a constant influx of toxins, the small and large intestines may be afflicted with a number of disorders, including diarrhea, constipation, abdominal gas, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticular disease, hernias, polyps, dysentery, appendicitis, volvulus, intussusceptions, as well as benign and malignant tumors.

Ample bile flow maintains good digestion and absorption of food, and has a strong cleansing action throughout the intestinal tract. Every part of the body depends on the basic nutrients made available through the digestive system, as well as the efficient removal of waste products from the digestive system. Gallstones in the liver and gallbladder considerably disrupt both of these vital processes. Therefore, they can be held accountable for most, if not all, of the different kinds of ailments that can afflict the body. Removal of gallstones helps to normalize the digestive and eliminative functions, improve cell metabolism and maintain balance throughout the body.

AGNI, The Digestive Fire, The ‘General’ Of Digestion

Whenever food enters your mouth and touches the taste buds located on the surface of your tongue, your salivary glands begin secreting saliva. Saliva is needed to lubricate the food and to predigest cooked starches. At the same time, your pancreas and small intestine receive instructions to prepare for the release of the appropriate kinds and amounts of digestive enzymes and minerals necessary to help break down the food into the smallest nutrient components.

The first and most common cause of digestive trouble is swallowing food too quickly. This eating habit indicates anxiety, impatience and nervousness. Eating too quickly reduces saliva production in the mouth cavity, which is a major cause of tooth decay. One of the functions of saliva is to keep the mouth and teeth protected against harmful substances and irritating microbes.

There are other reasons why masticating food properly is so essential for our wellbeing. According to fascinating research conducted at the Gifu University in Japan, chewing actually improves memory by reducing the release of stress hormones. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has demonstrated that the hippocampus, which helps control blood levels of stress hormones, is stimulated by the act of chewing. As a result, the simple act of chewing properly lowers both stress and stress hormones. So chewing your food well can actually reduce anxiety levels.

The Japanese researchers also found that when teeth were missing or in a state of disrepair, people tended to chew less. Subsequently, this led to increased stress hormone levels. The conclusion from this study is that good dental health and the ability to chew properly appear to be important factors in preserving our memory as we age and in protecting ourselves against the harmful effects of stress.

After passing through the esophagus, the food enters the stomach. If the food contains carbohydrates (complex sugars and starches as found in vegetables and grains), the salivary enzymes continue to digest these foods for about an hour before the stomach begins to secrete its gastric juices. If the food is swallowed too quickly, these foods remain mostly undigested and begin to ferment.

Gastric juice is composed of hydrochloric acid, enzymes, mineral salts, mucus and water. The action of the acid kills many of the harmful microbes and parasites that are naturally present in fresh produce, meat, fish, dairy products and other foods. The hydrochloric acid also breaks down some of the harmful substances that may accompany the food, such as certain food additives or chemicals. Special enzymes begin to act upon proteins that may be present in the food. Once saturated with enough acid, the food is forced in small jets into the duodenum.

The duodenum is a hollow jointed tube connecting the stomach to the jejunum, which is the central of the three divisions of the small intestine. It represents the first and shortest part of the small intestine, and it is where most chemical digestion takes place. It is called the cap because on an x-ray it looks a bit like a cap. Thereafter, the duodenum makes a C-turn going from the right to the left side of the abdomen. Bile from the liver and secretions from the pancreas come through the ampulla of Vater to mix with food in the duodenum. The pancreatic juices contain digestive enzymes, minerals and water to help break down starches further. The bile, which is forced into the duodenum via the common bile duct, aids in the digestion of fats and proteins. The duodenum participates in this very important part of the digestive process by releasing specific hormones and digestive juices.

Ayurveda calls the entire activity in this section of the digestive system AGNI, or ‘digestive fire’. AGNI ‘cooks’ the food further in order to make its nutrients available for the cells and tissues at a later stage.

The small intestine has a total length of approximately 6 meters (18 feet). It is responsible for the absorption of nutrients, salt and water. On the average, approximately 9 liters (9.5 quarts) of fluid enter the jejunum (upper part of the small intestine) each day, a major portion of which is composed of digestive juices. The small intestine absorbs approximately 7 liters (7.4 quarts), leaving only 1.5 to 2 liters to move on to the large intestine. The absorptive function of the small intestine is brought about by an intricate array of cells within its lining (intestinal folds and villi) that absorb and secrete salts and nutrients as well as water in order to maintain normal salt and water balance within the body. In a healthy person, the absorptive function is so efficient that with a natural, balanced diet, over 95 percent of ingested carbohydrates and proteins are absorbed.

Specific sections of the small intestine perform specific functions. For example, the duodenum plays an important role in coordinating how the stomach empties and at what rate bile needs to be secreted into the intestine to optimize the digestive process. The duodenum is also a major site for the absorption of iron. The jejunum is a major site for the absorption of the vitamin, folic acid, while the end of the ileum (lower part of the intestine) is the most important site for the absorption of vitamin B12 and bile salts. The blood takes up all the nutrients and moves them to the liver for further processing.

The ingested food can be broken down into its basic nutrient components and made available for the complex metabolic processes in the body only when AGNI, the digestive fire, is strong. AGNI is fueled by bile, without which none of the other digestive juices would be sufficiently effective to break down food into its nutrient components.

Bile is alkaline. When food that is saturated with hydrochloric acid enters the small intestine, it first needs to be mixed with bile before digestive enzymes can act on the food. An intestinal pH-value of high acidity would block enzyme secretion and become a major stumbling block for the proper digestion of food. Furthermore, in order for them to become activated, pancreatic enzymes must combine with bile before passing through the ampulla of Vater. To make this possible, the common bile duct and the pancreatic duct combine to form one short duct before joining the duodenum. As long as bile secretion from the liver’s bile ducts and the gallbladder remain unimpeded by gallstones, good digestion is almost guaranteed, provided that the ingested food is fresh and wholesome.

The combination of nutritious food and strong AGNI forms the ideal partnership to help the body make sufficient amounts of amino acids, fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, glucose, fructose, trace elements and other vital substances available to all its parts. This, in turn, produces healthy blood, vital tissues and a youthful body. The quality of the blood and the tissues of the body, including those that make up the skin, mostly reflect the condition of the liver and the small intestine.

Gallstones In The Liver And Gallbladder Can Be Held Responsible For Most Diseases Of The Mouth

Gallstones in the liver and gallbladder can be held responsible for most diseases of the mouth. The stones interfere with the digestion and absorption of food, which in turn forces waste products meant for elimination to remain in the intestinal tract. Bacterial infection (thrush) and viral infection (herpes) in the mouth arise only when waste decomposes and becomes a source of toxicity in the body. The trapped toxins constantly irritate parts of the gastro-intestinal lining (which begins in the mouth and ends in the anus) until inflammation or ulceration occurs. The damaged cell tissue ‘invites’ more microbes to the scene of the injury to help clean up of cellular debris. This is a normal phenomenon seen everywhere in nature whenever there is something that needs to be decomposed.

Bacteria never attack, that is, infect something that is as clean, vital and healthy as a fruit hanging on a tree. Only when the fruit becomes overripe or falls to the ground do bacteria begin their clean-up job. The moment bacteria begin to decompose food or flesh, toxins are generated. These toxins can be recognized by their unpleasant odor and acidic nature. If they are generated in the body, it is only natural that symptoms of illness begin to show up.

Thrush indicates the presence of large quantities of bacteria that have spread throughout the gastro-intestinal tract, including the mouth area. It shows up in the mouth because the mucous lining there is no longer resistant enough to keep its cells in good physical shape. Since the main part of the immune system is located in the mucous lining of the gastro-intestinal tract, thrush indicates a major weakness in the body’s general immunity to disease.

Herpes, which is considered a viral disease, is similar to thrush, with the exception that, instead of bacteria attacking the cell exterior, viral materials attack the cell interior or nucleus. In both cases, the attackers target only weak and unhealthy cells, those that are already damaged or dysfunctional. Added to this dilemma, gallstones harbor plenty of bacteria and viruses, which escape the liver via the secreted bile and infect those parts of the body that have the least resistance to them.

Gallstones can lead to other problems in the mouth. They inhibit proper bile secretion, which in turn reduces appetite and secretion of saliva from the salivary glands in the mouth. Saliva is required to cleanse the mouth and keep its tissues soft and pliable. If there is not enough saliva present, destructive bacteria begin to invade the mouth cavity. This can lead to tooth decay and other tooth-related problems. But, once again, bacteria do not cause tooth decay; germs are attracted only to those areas in the mouth that are undernourished and toxic already.

A bitter taste in the mouth is caused by bile that has regurgitated into the stomach and, from there, into the mouth. This condition occurs because of major intestinal congestion. Instead of properly moving downward, parts of the intestinal content are backed up and bring gas and other irritating substances into the upper regions of the gastro-intestinal tract. Bile in the mouth drastically alters the pH-value (acid-alkalinity balance) of saliva, which impairs its cleansing properties and makes the mouth susceptible to infection.

A mouth ulcerin the lower lip indicates a simultaneous inflammatory process in the large intestine. Repeated occurrence of ulcers in either one of the corners of the mouth points to the presence of duodenal ulcers. Tongue ulcers, depending on their location, indicate inflammatory processes in corresponding areas of the alimentary canal, such as the stomach, small intestine, appendix or large intestine.

Nancy Desjardins: Hello and welcome to our weekly tele-seminar. I am Nancy Desjardins form  healthlady.com. And if this is your first time, welcome, today I’ll be hosting a fifty minute tele-class and we are going to talk about how to take charge of your health with the liver and gallbladder cleanse with our very special guest Andreas Mortis.  So now about Andreas Moritz, so, Andreas is a medical intuitive, a practitioner of Ayurveda, iridology, shiatsu and vibration medicine, a writer, and also an artist. He was born in south west Germany in 1954. Andreas had to deal with several severe illnesses from an early age which compelled him to study diet, nutrition and various methods of natural healing while still a child. So by the age of twenty, he had completed his training in both iridology the diagnostic science of eye interpretation and diagnosis. In 1981 Andreas began studding Ayurvedic medicine in India and finished his training as a qualified practitioner in New Zealand in 1991. So rather than being satisfied with merely treating there symptoms of illness, Andreas has dedicated his life work to understanding and treating at the root cause of illness. So because of this holistic approach he has had great success with cases of terminal disease where conventional method of healing proved futile. So since 1988 he has practiced the Japanese healing art of shiatsu which has given him insight into the energy system of the body. Now therein he devoted eight years of research into consciousness and its important role in the filed of mind-body medicine. Andreas Moritz: Thank you Nancy, thanks for having me,

Nancy Desjardins: This is our second interview and I was so looking forward for this interview and so Andreas, can you tell us a little bit about your background and why you wrote the book “THE LIVER And GALLBLADDER MIRACLE CLEANSE

Andreas Moritz: Now, I will answer the second question first because I had to deal with my own illnesses and I suffered forty gallstone attacks. Once every seven eight weeks and anyone who knows what a gallstones attack is and has experienced it, will know that it is extremely painful. So it served me as a great motivator to find out why I had these gallstone attacks, not that in just that I had them but why I had them and so I discovered, it took me back to way back to my early childhood where I had an injury on my head, it causes scoliosis, it caused me gastro-intestinal problems. By the time I was six years old, I already had gallstones in my liver, actually I am saying, I am saying that consciously, gallstones in my liver, because nobody really could figure that one out. My uncle was a leading medical doctor in Germany at that time, he was an iridologist as well and he looked in my eyes and said you have stones in your liver and I always remembered that and so when I developed these very, very powerful painful gallstone attacks, I remembered his words, “there are stones in your liver” and so I did not want to sacrifice my gallbladder just for nothing really. I knew the implications of what happens when your gallbladder has been removed such as continuous gastro intestinal problems and the risk of cancer is going up, obesity can result form that so there were many, many things I did not want to happen and I looked for natural alternatives, how to get rid of these stones in the liver, I knew I had gallstones in the gallbladder because whenever I had a gallstone attack one or several of these stone started coming through, but they unfortunately got stuck in my common bile duct which caused me the excruciating pain which often times lasted as long as three weeks, day and night, and you cannot really take a breath without going into a spasm. So the answer to my search was given to me, because I lived in an area of the road where olive oil was one of the commonest foods that exist there and the Greek islands, in this particular place is Cyprus, which has, it is partly Greek and partly Turkish and what I was looking for was an answer, what do the grandmothers and mothers, the Greek mothers and grandmothers do, when their children get sick, and so this took me into the remote villages and when I asked them what do you do when your grandchildren are sick and they said “well we give them olive oil and lemon juice to drink”, I said “what?” And so, and they said, “well what happens then is well these green things are coming out of them and they feel good again and they are healthy and they are very healthy” and so these people are actually very healthy, they live off the land, they have, but sometimes things can happen and children get sick and so they put them on these liver cleanses… they had no idea what actually would happen but when I researched the matter I found that this was not new, I found books form the 1920s in English literature, in great Britain, and also some German literature where in the early 20th century, people, doctors were actually talking about these cleanses that purge the liver of toxins and stones, and so, when I tested it out on myself, then I immediately found when I looked in the toilet bowl, three hundred stones sitting there, they were floating in the toilet and I felt somehow rejuvenated, something happened and there was greater clarity, my eyes looked better, I had more energy and then I did not have a gallstone attack again, never, after my first liver flush. So that is where the story begins. I noted down my experiences and eventually I wrote the first version of the liver flush and it was called “THE LIVER CLEANSE” and it became “THE AMAZING LIVER CLEANSE” because it became more amazing as I continued passing these stones and my health improved dramatically during that time and so that is where basically the history the brief history of the liver and gall bladder flush comes from.

Nancy Desjardins: Wow! That is very powerful, I mean you.. just your own experience and what they did is after our first interview, we are going back to a few years ago, I had read your book and did several liver gallbladder cleanses and whenever, you know, I mean, it is, we live in, it is almost impossible to remove stress from  our lives. How is your stress level Andreas?

Andreas Moritz: Well, there is always a reason that could make you feel stressed, however that has more to do with you than these situations that occur so if you know, if you are… if you haven’t slept well during the night and then something happens that could be a grievance in your life, then you will react more strongly to that than you would if you had been well rested and energized. So…

Nancy Desjardins: But let me add…

Andreas Moritz: Yeah..

Nancy Desjardins: Let me add something to this, so what happened after those several liver and gallbladder cleanses, I was definitely one of those people that were… I was having a hard time coping with perhaps the demand or stress. The first thing I noticed with the liver gallbladder cleanse is I was more adaptable, I was able to cope with the situation much, much better. So that is what I wanted to share.

Andreas Moritz: Right

Nancy Desjardins: Too full or what!

Andreas Moritz: Absolutely, because that is basically what it does. It raises your energy levels, it allows you to differentiate, rather a greater clarity in your mental capacities, you have a better way to modify your responses to any given situation because you have a greater sense of clarity about them and so a lot of things happen, it is not just that your eyesight, your  outer vision can improve and become more clear but, your inner vision as well, and so you start seeing things more clearly and you realize that stressful conditions that may have bothered you before, they may not be as stressful now, so something happens inside when your body is feeling healthier, then you are also responding  to stressful conditions in a much different way. You have a much more relaxed sort of approach to stress.

Nancy Desjardins: Yes absolutely, I am glad that you elaborated on this subject, now before we dive in into the interview, could you explain the functions of the liver ?

Andreas Moritz: Well I could talk for days about that because the liver is probably the most complex organ that we have. It is almost it is on the same foot as the brain in terms of complexity. There is hardly anything that happens in the body that is not indirectly or directly controlled by the liver. One of the most important things is to produce a substance that helps us to digest food and that is called bile, and bile is a greenish yellowish liquid that has a bitter sour taste to it that when you eat food and it goes into your stomach, the gallbladder is collecting bile form the liver and it is secreting it into the common bile duct, from there it enters the small intestine and so by the time your food is travelling into your intestines, it is being met by bile and that is very, very significant and important because the bile is alkaline, the hydrochloric acid in the stomach is obviously acidic, and so, there is a neutralization of acid that takes place to protect the lower intestine from erosion. So it is very important that we make enough bile. Now the bile is needed to digest fats, and without the bile you cannot digest fats, you can also not absorb minerals like calcium and magnesium, you need the presence of bile to do that, so you can already see how important this particular substance is. Imagine if no calcium gets absorbed, your bones are going to become brittle and you literally die for you cannot stand, you cannot walk, you cannot do anything, so it is a simple thing that has incredible repercussions throughout the entire body, in this case the skeletal system. Now if you want to digest food because food is absolutely essential to sustain the life of the sixty trillion cells that maintain your body, imagine if the fat is not digested, then you also have problems with another type of food. Carbohydrates need fat to digest them, without fat you cannot digest carbohydrates without fats you can also not digest proteins, so if you cannot digest proteins and fats and carbohydrates you have nothing, and so that is why people who do not make enough bile anymore, and the body is going into a state of either initiation or obesity which is basically the same thing. It means that the cells no longer receive their nutrients and the body might desperately hold on to fluids and fat and anything that might come into it and store it for to wait for the rainy day, so to say, when the juices can flow again and so a lot of problems arise when we do  not secrete or produce enough bile in the liver and in the gallbladder. The bile is also necessary to take toxins out of the liver. This is the liver’s way to remove the toxins that it, the liver cells, have removed form the blood stream. So the liver is in charge of detoxifying the blood and through the blood the rest of the body. So if there is any part of the body that accumulates toxins, it shows that the liver is not capable of doing its job properly and therefore the ability to dump toxins into the bile and carry them out of the liver into the intestines for excretion, that function has been impaired. So the liver is extremely important also with regard to storing certain fats, soluble vitamins like vitamin D and K and A, and so when the liver is congested and it cannot absorb these fat soluble vitamins because there is not enough bile to digest fats to derive these vitamins from and store them in the liver then lot of, many, many health problems can result just from that. So you can see how the liver which monitors how many vitamins are needed that have to be stored in the liver, how many can be released and discarded, the liver constantly keeps track of all those functions. Then there is the ability to keep the blood values at the proper levels and that is extremely important otherwise the body would constantly bleed or it would get blood clots that would be formed because the blood would be too thick. So the liver, through very complex processes, that would take volumes of description if you ever want to write about it to describe it, it is extremely complex how the blood is maintained at the perfect level and the liver is in control of that. So anything that can affect the liver functions can therefore have huge repercussions for there rest of the body.

Nancy Desjardins: And today we are exposed to environment toxicity, I mean, can you talk about that, what an impact this has to do, this has, on the liver?

Andreas Moritz: Absolutely it is not just certain foods or beverages like alcohol, the liver is know to break down alcohol but it can do that only to a certain degree and the excess amount will then create issues that if you drink too much alcohol, it can lead to liver cirrhosis and that is very well known and pancreas destruction. So there are things that the liver is trying to do or whenever there are pesticides coming into the system, these are chemicals produced in laboratories, the liver has a certain capability of breaking down some of them but not all of them. So the liver also is in charge of removing air toxins that you breathe in that end up in your bloodstream. The liver also deals with toxins that we create when we do not digest our food properly so when we overeat, for example when we eat too much in the evening, when we eat foods that are very hard to digest – like animal protein where the human body has the capacity to digest between ten – fifteen and in some, the young people perhaps can digest twenty percent of a steak the rest of it will have to be decomposed and that produces nitrosamines which are very powerful toxins and when they enter the liver, the liver tries to detoxify as much of them as possible but oftentimes that does not work, there is simply too much coming in. We are exposed to fluoride in drinking water and toothpaste and mouth washes, there are toxins that come, particularly women they use makeup and other body creams and things that we put on our hair… hair dye, so there is so many, many different sources of pollutants, just drink from the bottle, plastic bottle, any water or other beverages, there will be plastic components which are carcinogenic, that means cancer producing, that leaked into the water or into the beverage,  like coca-cola has already a lot of acids, it leaches out chemicals from the plastic bottle that end up in the system, there are hormones, there are drug elements in the drinking water now that people, when they use these drugs, they pass them into the… even antibiotics are now found in drinking water, so you dose yourself with drugs for things you do not need to take them, for simply by drinking water, public water, and so there are many, many contaminants. There are other things when you look in the sky you have chemtrails that are dumped in they spraying chemicals on to people these white long things that are consisting of aluminum oxides which are extremely poisonous, so when you breathe that in, or it gets into the food, when it settles into the drinking water then we become contaminated. We live in a place in the big city, just today there was new research that it causes brain damage and mental problems and memory issues in people that live in urban areas because simply because of the pollutants. So there is many things that the liver has to deal with and in this world and in this, in today’s environment, it is virtually impossible for the liver to get rid of all those multiple and differentiated kinds of chemicals and poisons and toxins that… then people get vaccines, they get a whole cocktail of sixty three carcinogenic poisons that enter the system. So the liver is not coping with that, it is impossible for the liver to deal with all the toxins and therefore the liver has to dump some of them into the bile ducts, to surround them with bile, to encapsulate these toxins, to keep them form entering the small intestine where they could be absorbed and into the blood and cause blood poisoning. So for the liver to create stones, that is really a necessity, not a disease, this is not something, this is a survival mechanism. So the body does that only to protect ourselves at least for the time being from being overloaded with toxins where the toxins might enter the brain and cause severe brain damage

Nancy Desjardins: And would you say that the color of your stool could indicate the quality of your bowels?

Andreas Moritz: Oh absolutely, and this is well known. You can read that up, in physiology books, that when the stools start floating it shows that the fats that you have eaten it is not digested properly, it stays in the fecal matter and causes the fecal matter to be lighter than water so it would float, it is like a boat, that really has air in it, like these little air boats. So the same thing applies to stool that is colored grayish sort of pale color, not the typical brown color, the brown color comes from the hemoglobin in the bile and that colors in that form and bile also colors it in this way once it is used in the digestive process as designed, then it will give you nice brown, bell shaped, non smeary stools. Whereas if they are light colored or grey colored or sort of pale looking, then it shows there is not enough bile that comes through into the digestive track to help digest the food with.

Nancy Desjardins: And now, so how many liver cleanse would a person need to go on and how would someone know when the liver is clean?

Andreas Moritz: Yes that depends really on each individual and when I first wrote the book I thought what happened to me that I needed to, tend to trust liver flushes, to be completely clean, I passed about three and a half thousand stones and that is when all the pain that I used to have completely disappeared form my body, my digestion rebalanced and many, many different improvements that are… again I have talked about that in the book, that can help and it is different for each person, there were some people that only needed six cleanses to be completely clean and then I found other people that needed twenty five or more cleanses, so it depends on how profoundly the liver has been impacted right from childhood, what contaminants that it could not detoxify, break down, eliminate, that the body needed to produce stones in order to keep the body safe. And so the person should attempt to, once you have done a certain number and there are no more stones coming out, to do another two liver flushes to make sure that in fact the liver is completely clean.

Nancy Desjardins: And what about if someone had their gall bladder removed can they still do the liver gall bladder cleanse ?

Andreas Moritz: They are the most likely candidates so that should do liver flushes because first of all their gallbladder was removed and because the gallbladder had stones in them, however, you cannot have stones in the gall bladder without having many times the number of stones in the bile ducts of the liver, and many… I have had many people who have got their gallbladders removed and they still complain about having gallstone attacks and the doctors think they are mentally not quite right in the head, there is no way that you can have gallstones when you do not have a gall bladder, but when they finally come to read my book or they communicated with me I said well the issue is that you do have stones, but they are not in your gall bladder because it is not there, it is in your liver, and so then they do liver flushes and they are totally surprised that all the stones come out and then they discontinue having any difficulties with gallstone attacks. The problem with removing the gallbladder and then 99 percent of cases it is done unnecessarily, just as it would have been unnecessary in my case even though my gall bladder was completely packed full with gall stones, it was almost like bursting full and still I was able to release them, that when you remove the gall bladder, then, the side effect is that you still cannot digest fats properly because the gall bladder is missing and the gall bladder is the only organ that is capable of secreting or pushing enough quality, highly concentrated bile that is about ten times, one tenth of the liquidity of the regular bile in the liver, that means, it is ten times more concentrated than the bile in the liver and in that concentrated form, that is when the digestion is really, really going well. So when the gallbladder is removed, that entire function is missing and there is only some little drips or drops of bile coming out directly from the liver entering the small intestine which is not controlled, it is not time-spaced with the digestion and therefore it is just trickles in throughout the day, little drops, just as the liver produces bile, it starts entering the small intestine, which is not a good idea… the bile should only be coming into the intestine when it is needed when there is food going through it, not when there is nothing going through it. So the problem with removing the gallbladder is immense. In this case the person may use a ox bile supplement in order to facilitated the digestion or fat which then helps the digestion of carbohydrates and protein as well, and  so that is what every doctor should recommend but hardly any of them do, they just rip out the gall bladder and send the patient home saying that you are fine now, you can start eating whatever you want, but, then I get the feedback from these individuals that they then say they cannot digest food, they still have the aches and pains in the liver area and they still get gallstone attacks. So the theory, the medical theory, is completely obsolete, misleading, and it is not correct.

Nancy Desjardins: So gallbladder removing is not the solution to a problem you mentioned, ox bile, if you had your gall bladder removed

Andreas Moritz: Right

Nancy Desjardins: Should we take it on a daily basis

Andreas Moritz: Yes, it causes diarrhea like regular bile does… if you make too much bile you would get diarrhea, and that is another disorder that is associated with a particular body type called the pitta body type where they often produce too much bile but that is a completely different story, however, yes, removing the gallbladder requires that the person has some sort of bile supplement that allows that person taking it with each meal to help digest the fats. If you take too much of it, the ox bile, then you will get diarrhea so you will have to reduce it to a point where it allows you to have properly formed stools and not diarrhea,

Nancy Desjardins: You mentioned earlier that you had forty gal stone attacks and after your first liver gallbladder cleanse, you did not have any gallstone  attacks, sothat would be the solution for anyone who does have gallstone attacks to do a cleanse or several cleanses

Andreas Moritz: Absolutely, and many people are afraid… they are terrified… “oh my god you know I have these stones and the doctor said you have a one centimeter stone in your gallbladder”, you have maybe ten of them or your gallbladder is filled up with stones. There is a great misconception, when for example, when you eat a, let’s say, that person eats a very fatty meal like fried food, lot of fatty deserts and then two hours later or one hour later she has an extremely excruciating pain emanating from the middle part of the back where the liver is, on the right, a little more on the right hand side, and then the pain is shooting all the way up to the head into basically every part of the body, and you cannot breathe properly, every time you take a breath it is like bringing on another spasm, very powerful painful spasm and because what happens is that the gall bladder is stimulated by the fatty meal and then a stone that is sitting sort of in the exiting part, enters the cystic duct which is that part that connects the gallbladder to the common bile duct and it is starting to move into the common bile duct or into the cystic duct and it gets stuck, and since these are calcified stones or even the regular soft cholesterol stones form the liver, they could get stuck in the common bile duct simply because that obstruction irritates the bile duct and it contracts into, it goes into a very strong spasmodic contraction, which then holds the stone exactly there and it cannot move and then there is an inflammation and then all the nerves that are located there they start signaling there is something wrong, we need to work on this, so the body needs to work on this, so the problem is that when you have a gallstone attack it can last a long, long time and it can cause jaundice, that means, you can turn yellow because there is no more bile, the bile can no longer flow anywhere and it is backing up, it gets into the blood stream and then it shows up in the whites of the eye or in the skin and so many people then panic and then they go to the emergency room and the doctor says “we have to immediately remove your gallbladder” and then they, while doing that, then they remove, then they pull out that stone as well and then they sew this thing together and then they say, “well you are fine, everything is ok now.” Whereas when you do a liver flush, the liver and gallbladder flush, it is a very different story. You are opening the bile ducts in the liver to release stones, particularly those in the exiting bile duct, there are two major huge bile ducts that have like a tree behind them, they are like trunks of a tree and then all the branches and the smaller branches and the tiny branches and then that is the entire network, it is called the bilary tree, and we have two such trees in the liver. So when you do the liver flush you start relaxing through the use of magnesium oxide which is called Epsom salts, you are relaxing the bile duct, so they can open up, they are completely relaxed, you stimulate the gallbladder and the liver to secrete a lot of bile, a lot of bile, because you are taking half a cup of olive oil and lemon juice or other citric juice which opens the gall bladder, and it releases a  lot of oily bile, and the bile is very oily, but when you eat a fatty meal you are not producing enough bile to actually continue to push stones all the way through into the small intestine, while, when you do a liver flush, you are taking a lot of, drinking that olive oil mixture, and you have prepared all the bile ducts, including the common bile duct to be completely relaxed. So now you  have this oily bile taking the stones that are… they cannot get stuck into the common bile duct, the bile duct is far too relaxed, it does not do anything, it just allows all the stones to tumble through and get into the small intestine and then they travel into the large intestine, you would not even notice, some people sort of have a gurgling sensation, like one stone after another, like pebbles moving through but there is no pain there is no discomfort in any sense, so it is very, very important to know the difference between the two, that is why you do not get gallstone  attacks when you do liver flushes, but you get gallstone  attacks when you eat fatty meals, you may just eat some omelet for example, eggs are a leading cause of gallstone attacks, so when a person eats a meal like breakfast of eggs and he has or she has gallstones that are ready to, sort of, move out of the gallbladder, then they may just have an attack shortly thereafter and with the liver flushes you take a sort of, a biggest bulk out of the liver so that they are sitting on the edge of the gallbladder and the liver and so you move these stones and that is why it is unlikely for a person to have another gallstone attack and if it is, it can be easily remedied, let’s say, if the person eats a fatty meal and does have a mild attack then, drinking a glass of Epsom salts will allow the stone to simply go thorough, you do not have to go the emergency room for that, just drink a glass of Epsom salts, or with each meal for next two or three meals drink a cup of red beet juice, and that helps as well, helps to clear out the stones without surgery, it is actually quite easy.

Nancy Desjardins: Yeah it is. Perhaps it is so simple but it that might be the reason why people are not.. by which the people I mean… there is a lot of people now that are really following this protocol.

Andreas Moritz: Oh there are millions of them now, millions around the world.

Nancy Desjardins: Yeah twenty five years I can understand, but now today is I absolutely, I refuse to think that a lot people are not… do not believe… in liver and gallbladder cleanse. But now why liver flush combined with colon cleanse like a colonic or enema are absolutely necessary for healing ?

Andreas Moritz: That is a very good question and that is important to understand because the colon and the liver, gallbladder are part of the same system, it is called the digestive system, right, so they work hand in hand, it is a closed system, they know what the other one is doing. So if there is congestion in the large intestine for example, if a person is constipated and goes to the toilet maybe only once every two or three days and that person would attempt a liver flush, now we know that bile is the body’s natural laxative and it initiates bowel movement and so there is not enough bile coming out of the liver, then there is just not enough parasitosis power to propel the waste out of the large intestine and the person has constipation, so, when that constipated person attempts the liver flush without cleaning out the colon before then, there is, it is almost like a hose that you close at the end where you hold it and you turn on the faucet and no water can come out and it is stuck and nothing moves and so no new water can come into the hose either. It is like that, if the large intestine is clogged up and is constipated then, there is back pressure, air pressure and also toxins and waste that is not moving out, and new food that is eaten cannot move down and be digested, it is when there is constipation, so, it is all piling up, it is like a big traffic jam and what happens is that when the body is not capable of removing the waste from the colon, the gallbladder receive a signal, please do not waste any more bile on anything. So then, it is a vicious cycle basically, so the gallbladder is receiving the signal to stay shut. And not to release bile; without bile new food cannot be digested and that food that is not mixed with bile, cannot be eliminated because bile is the natural laxative and so the parasitosis does not take place. So when you do a liver flush, you prepare for the liver flush, it is very important to make sure that the colon is completely clean and open and that is why it is good to do a colon cleanse before each liver flush so that you have the best possible liver flush, that means that the gallbladder is opening up without any reservation, without any holding back, without any attempt to close itself and to shut its door so that it can completely open up and release all the bile that it has in it along with any stones that are in it and it allows the liver to do the same thing – to releases as much bile as possible along and carrying the stones through the system so that there is no problem with having an effective easy going liver flush

Nancy Desjardins: And what do you think about coffee enema? What of that?

Andreas Moritz: Well it can be done, a coffee enema has never been shown to release stones. So the biggest impediments in the liver, they are not coming out. Coffee enema is a stimulant to release toxins form the liver and it does that, there is no doubt about it, so coffee enemas are not colon cleanses by the way, they only, the coffee is a small amount of liquid that goes not further than the rectum so it stays basically in the lower parts of the intestines so it cannot clean out the intestines but it can stimulate the liver to open up and release fluid or liquefied toxins so it does have a bile stimulating effect certainly.

Nancy Desjardins: So would you recommend colonics, would that be your first choice?

Andreas Moritz: It would be the first choice. Definitely the first choice because the water that goes into the colon, the entire colon, it is just the entire colon up with the water and water is still one of the best solvents, it dissolves waste matter, it allows the intestines to expand so any pockets, any tightness in the colon, any strictures that maybe there that can prevent the body from eliminating all the waste properly, all of that can open up and once these pockets are open and the thicker matter is released, then that definitely is the best preparation for the liver flush. I also recommend colemas, colema board, which are very common or popular now at least in north America and is now getting more common also in Europe, where you can do this colonic basically at home simply by lying on a board have a high enema where a lot of water flows into the entire colon, the entire length of the colon, and basically do something similar as colonic irrigation. If that is not available, then two to three back to back water enemas would be adequate as well, even though it is much less effective. So it would be like doing two or three enemas, filling up the colon, cleaning out whatever come out and doing another enema and getting a little further into the colon with that new water, and then cleaning that out and doing another one, so the you make sure that the water goes all the way up to the ascending colon.

Nancy Desjardins: And the colema board is available on your website, any one listening again it is ENER-CHI.com and you go under wellness products and the board is right there and so what would you say to anyone who does emotional release or work on themselves and do not do any body cleanse including the liver gallbladder cleanse to get rid of anger or negativity toxins ?

Andreas Moritz: It is tough to work on something like that when the body is unhappy because it is congested, it is will send you signals of discomfort and when the body is uncomfortable, then you become anxious, nervous, irritable, and you become even depressed. So when this liver is, particularly the liver is an emotional center in the body, so it is not just processing toxins but also emotions like anger and frustration and being upset, because and that is very understandable, we now know that, when a person is called angry and is constantly having angry eruptions, we also call him like he has a bilious nature, right? people say he has a bilious nature, bile, the bile is basically not coming out, it is trapped and it is backwashing into the blood and once bile is moving into the blood then it causes irritability, it makes you even more nervous and anxious and upset, so yes, a lot of people who have done liver flushes clean out their liver, they find that they cannot be angry anymore. It is almost like that part is starting to dissipate and miss, be missing, it is, that is what I noticed first too when my liver was clean, I just could not think of things that could really make me angry and that is a wonderful thing, because many people who have been depressed, and depression is basically prolonged anger after a while when the frustration and anger last too long, them we move into a state of depression. So when people do liver flushes they sometimes feel like for moment or two they become extremely angry and then they then do not become angry anymore after that, it is almost like a release that happens when you pass the stones and with the toxins you also release emotional toxins.

Nancy Desjardins: And would lack of sleep also have an effect on the liver too?

Andreas Moritz: Oh totally

Nancy Desjardins: Yeah

Andreas Moritz: Yes absolutely because sleep is.. there is really nothing you can do in terms of digesting foods, eliminating waste successfully, having a proper brain function all of those and the liver, particularly, depends on your rest so that it can do its work. The most important time for the liver to do its work is between ten and two in the night and when you do not sleep at that time, then the liver is not getting enough energy, it is not getting enough blood in order to do its work. The liver is like a sponge in the night time particularly, it fills up completely with blood and where is the blood coming from? Well it comes from the brain and the muscles and the different pars of the body that you are not using when you sleep. So when you are lying there, the liver is pulling in all that blood form the back of the brain which is, in itself, it is already a quart of a blood and from the muscles and all those other areas that you are, when you are resting, you do not need as much blood. So now the liver is pulling all that blood, the liver cells are directly surrounded by blood and it is not like other organs where there are blood vessels that somehow supply nutrients to the cell though osmosis. In the liver cells, with the liver it is completely different, the liver  is swimming, the liver cells are floating in the blood therefore they are capable of working with the blood, they can filter things out, it is like a huge filter and they can put new things in, the liver produces thousands of different enzymes that are needed on a cellular level for cell metabolism, for digestion and  for detoxification, for removing oxygen free radicals there is so much that depends on the sleep.  So when you are not sleeping at this time, let’s say, you go to bed at midnight, past midnight then the liver does not get all that blood in order to filter, to remove toxins, put new things in, replenish everything, so then, the next day you have a deficiency and certain nutrients and certain enzymes, certain minerals, vitamins, the iron maybe, the  iron level in the blood may not be correct therefore the oxygenation of the blood will be inadequate, you are not transferring enough oxygen to the cells, you start feeling tired, you start looking for something to stimulate you like more cups of coffee, more stimulating foods and beverages so all of that comes when there is lack of sleep; and the other effect is that there is a very important hormone that is produced at around nine thirty, ten o’clock, provided you are shutting your eyes and there is darkness around you and you are sleeping and that is called melatonin and melatonin regulates all the endocrine hormones in the body. So it is though the thyroid, and the thyroid is responsible for all the endocrine gland, so, it is an important factor to make sure we get the proper sleep. We found, there is a lot of research now with regard to sleep, cancer, and many ailments… diabetes, obesity… that when the liver particularly is not allowed to do its work sufficiently during the night time, then the entire body can go into a mode of chaos, and you as an emotional being can have emotions such as irritability, cannot concentrate as well, we now know learning ability is less, the ability to remember things is less and the immune system is suppressed. So there are many things that can are depend on proper sleep, oh absolutely. I would say that probably one of the most important things to do if you want to improve health, sleep early and have at least eight hours of sleep. The people, before electricity was invented, used to sleep nine to ten hours, and typically an American, on an average, sleep less than six hours.

Nancy Desjardins: That is really not enough. In your book you recommend two more questions Andreas I know this is, it is, I so want to enjoy this sense of you, in your book you recommend taking MMS which is miracle mineral supplement can you explain what MMS does?

Andreas Moritz: Yes, it is basically a chemical that the body does produce but if it is not produced sufficiently, then we may take that in and use it to detoxify certain chemicals and substances including heavy metals. So if mercury has accumulated, then MMS has the capability of breaking it down into a completely harmless substances so it is basically for detoxification, removing chemicals in the tissues and it is a good support system particularly if there is a severe contamination that has happened. It can also kill parasites and it can also clear up Candida overgrowth. I am not sort of going out and shouting that everyone should take MMS. I would leave it for particularly severe cases of contamination, and most in cases cleaning out the liver the kidneys and the colon and having a regular lifestyle, good eating habits, drinking enough water, being well hydrated, that takes care of most of the issues but in severe cases… if I had malaria again… I had it once when I was in India and I died, I was literally dead for eight minutes and when I came back my malaria disappeared within an hour, but I would not if a person has malaria I would say do not attempt that because you might not come back, but I would take MMS and kill the parasite from the system quite quickly.

Nancy Desjardins: Before we end this call, can you talk about your ener-chi paintings which are utilized for healing?

Andreas Moritz: Yes, it is not that they are designed to deal with any physical disorders, however it deals with the energy system and energy in the sense of chi, your life force, trikone, yoga all those systems they deal with, and shiatsu, acupuncture, acupressure they all work with the meridian system in the body and the meridians are basically connected to every organ and system, so likewise, many illnesses come from when there is a blockage of energy, the chi, the real life force, and that by the way the liver is the central distribution organ for chi. So that is why it is so important also to keep that organ neat and clean so that it can distribute chi or life force to the cells in the body and the chi can be subdued because chi flow can stop and let/s say there is congestion in an organ like in the gall bladder or liver or the spleen or the brain and nervous system or the small intestine, large intestine, or the skeletal system or the muscular system or the lymphatic system, so there can be lack of flow of chi through the ducts and channels of elimination and circulation in the body and any physical congestion will lead to a congestion in the chi flow and vice versa any congestion in the meridians in these energy ducts that can now be measured actually by medical diagnostic tools. When there is a  blockage of chi, then that corresponding organ can then start to malfunction, so for example think of people who have like a leg removed, an amputation, they still complain, ninety-six percent of them will still complain of having pain in the same place where the leg once was before, and the reason for this is because the energy ducts are still there. So what I found over the years is that pain is actually not caused by anything physical, but by these non-physical channels, when they are blocked you get pain, the pain… the nerve pain comes afterwards. So when I designed, created pictures, one picture for every organ and system in the body, simply by looking at one of these energy pictures, you restore the chi flow through like the stomach meridian, the large intestine, the spleen meridian, the liver gallbladder meridian, the thyroid meridian, the endocrine system, so when you have, when you open the chi, then it allows basically the energy to flow freely again and it works, some of the pictures, just looking at it for 45 seconds it does that, and it lasts for at least several weeks just looking at it for 45 seconds, so it is very innocent, easy going, but it really works. I have tested it on every single person, it works one hundred percent, it always does. So it is sort of a gift that came to me.. I was never painting in my life before and then I created these paintings there are 33 paintings now, and you can find them on my website ENER-CHI.com that why it is called ener-chi.com

Nancy Desjardins: Everything is available on your website?

Andreas Moritz: Yes

Andreas Moritz: No that is basically my favorite edition “THE AMAZING LIVER AND GALLBLADDER FLUSH“, “THE MIRACLE CLEANSE” is published by another publisher that I gave the book to, so it has a different title. I am working on, right now, on a new edition but it will take before the end of the year, probably December it will come out.

He is studied in Ayurveda, meditation, yoga, nutrition, iridology, shiatsu for over thirty years, he has had a great deal of success with terminal illnesses with his people he has written this book “THE AMAZING LIVER AND GALLBLADDER FLUSH“, “CANCER IS NOT A DISEASE” and “TIMELESS SECRETS OF HEALTH AND REJUVENATION“. Patrick Timpone: Wow! I really enjoyed your book because I have done plenty of these myself and you really laid it out in a very clean and efficient and neat way. Tell the folks why it is important to clean the liver and the gallbladder

Andreas Moritz: Well, the liver is really one of the most important organs in the body. It is a factory, it produces an enormous number of just some substances including cholesterol which is a stress hormone,  and it is a healing hormone and it is an ingredient for most hormones in the body and also the half of the brain and even part of the heart and so the body has to make it, and uses it in order to manufacture bile, the bile is necessary to digest your food, if you do not make enough bile normally… your body has to produce a quart and a half of bile per day in order to successfully, properly breakdown the foods into nutrients which are then absorbed into the blood stream and nourish and nurture your self and the body. Now when you do not make enough bile then that poses a huge problem for the body because bile is also responsible for activating digestive enzymes from the pancreas and if you do not make enough bile you are not able to use those enzymes to digest your food well.

Patrick Timpone: And what activities decrease bile flow?

Andreas Moritz: Anything from anger, stress, from eating inappropriate foods that are not physiological, that means these are foods that were never meant to be grown by nature they are man made foods, artificially produced foods or artificially sustained foods that contain a lot of preservatives, then the can of beverages that we call drinks or beverages….

Patrick Timpone: Yeah

Andreas Moritz: …that people drink all the time, like soft drinks, produce a lot of stones

Patrick Timpone: Back to the liver… also then these foods that aren’t physiologically natural, they are the producers of the stones, and the stones block the pathway for the bile?

Andreas Moritz: Correct. It is a massive network of bile ducts in the liver. It is almost like a massive tree and it has branches and smaller branches and smaller branches and a big trunk the big trunk is the common bile duct that comes out of the liver and so the bilary tree, so to say, can get clogged up very easily by what John Hopkins University calls intra-hepatic gallstones and these stones they are very soft they are made of mostly of cholesterol, most of them look green, like peas, they have almost the shape of peas and they are soft to the touch, so they are putty like if you squeeze them when they come out, but these stones are very obstructive so they block the bile flow and that means they also block the exit for the liver to eliminate toxins and noxious substances, so if the liver is unable to remove the toxin form the blood stream because the bile ducts are blocked up, these toxins, they are backing up in the blood and then they enter the connective tissue, which is the soft tissue that makes up all the organs and system in the body, so when you do not eliminate those toxins properly they start accumulating there and they basically suffocate the environment of the cells and the cells can no longer get enough oxygen, you mentioned oxygen, it is vital for the functioning of the cells and the cells do not get enough oxygen they eventually have to mutate into a different style of functioning which we call cancer or malignance then that is a really an end stage of the body trying to safeguard itself…. protect itself.

Patrick Timpone: So then the liver has an amazing job it is I guess it is correct to say it is the largest organ in the body other than the skin…

Andreas Moritz: Physically it is the most dense and it is a soft  organ it is mostly filled with blood and so in fact the liver itself is liver cells are completely surrounded by blood, particularly when you sleep

Patrick  Timpone: And I can… we say then with the onslaught of different chemicals in the air, in the food, in the water, plastics and whatever that the liver in the 21st century must really be on its on top of its game, so to speak…

Andreas Moritz: Absolutely

Patrick Timpone: So then these stones would be very, very detrimental to our health…

Andreas Moritz: To, I mean, to the cells functioning… that means, we have sixty to eight trillion cells in our body and all of them totally depend on how the liver functions.

Patrick Timpone: Wow!

Andreas Moritz: And there is not a single function in the body that does not depend on the liver, that is why you can develop a huge number of illnesses from digestive disorders to simple appetite problems, ulcers in the stomach, nauseas feeling, vomiting, depression, impotence, hernia, flatulence, difficulty in breathing because if the liver bile ducts get congested the liver becomes large and presses against the diaphragm and you cannot get any deep breaths in any more, and once you have diminished oxygenation of the cells because of that, then that again makes you more prone to develop cancer and other illnesses, people’s infections that people have, it is again related to their liver, high cholesterol obviously, because the liver makes cholesterol and the blood vessel walls in the liver are getting congested because of bile duct blockage, then your body can no longer retrieve enough cholesterol, the liver can no longer retrieve enough cholesterol form the blood stream, and it starts building up in the blood stream and then people have high cholesterol. Heart disease is very much related to the liver, most brain disorders, pancreatitis is definitely related to the liver, anything that is related to circulation and that includes virtually every part of the body, Alzheimer’s disease, cancers, kidney diseases, chronic fatigue syndrome, osteoporosis, knee problems, shoulder problems, joint problems, gout…

Patrick Timpone: It is amazing,  that is amazing!

Andreas Moritz: Literally not a single disease that is not directly related to bile duct congestion…

Patrick Timpone: That is amazing, and if you have just joined us, Andreas Moritz, sorry to interrupt you, Sir, but we have come to a break. If you just joined us, Andreas Moritz said that the way these stones get formed in the bile ducts is from inappropriate food, essentially the standard American diet we are sorry to say, in most cases, and is it any wonder that there is so much illness in our country if what he said is correct and there are many, many books and experts and people in the filed all over the world who concur with Mr. Moritz and Sir, if you hang in there we are going to break for the news my name is Patrick Timpone and back in a flash…

…Andreas Moritz, we are going to take the calls in a second but you have laid out a very interesting paradigm – how important  it is to keep the liver and gallbladder clean because of the inappropriate foods that many of us eat and the culture eats and the preservatives, chemicals I would assume… does that also include many of the grains and starches that are over-consumed in your opinion?

Andreas Moritz: Certainly, many of the refined foods, they are no longer usable by the body so the body has to just find ways to discard them and in discarding them that means decomposing them or fermenting them or putrefying them, those kinds of food that are not useful for the body and therefore remain undigested. When the body is decomposing it, it engages bacteria to do the job, the dirty job, for them, and so the toxin and poisons that are generated as part of any fermentation process will be absorbed into the lymphatic vessels they are know as the cisterna chyli vessels around the belly button area, right in the middle part of the abdomen, and these vessels they become swollen, they become endemic as they try to accommodate and surround those poisons with fluid… with lymphatic fluid… and so that part of the body starts to extend to becomes enlarged and that is the typical belly tummy that people complain about when they first start putting on weight and gradually the lymphatic congestion progresses to other parts of the body – the thoracic duct that runs right form the belly button area all the way up to the throat and that is where it joins it bends to the left and joins the blood stream, so when the body is unable to remove or gets exposed to so many foods that are fermented or putrefied like cadaver-type foods, animal flesh foods, then the body will have to succumb to these poisons somewhere down the line and wherever these poisons accumulate more than in another places, and the lymphatic congestion progresses to the point the body cannot even get rid of its metabolic waste products like lactic acid, uric acid, urea, ammonia, it is like urine trapped in the surrounding in the environment of the cells then that acidic material will start to cause destruction of the cells. And so wherever that happens, first you will have a symptom you go to the doctor he says well you suffer from this illness and he gives you, basically puts on line for receiving drugs or something else that will suppress those very same symptoms which is nothing but a survival mechanism in the body.

Patrick Timpone: Yes

Andreas Moritz: It is a healing response, the body is desperately trying to go back to balance and so the disease, what we call disease, is the way for the body to do that; inflammation for example is a healing response… we call it an illness.

Andreas Moritz: Oh yes

Patrick Timpone: And do talk a little bit about it throughout the evening between now and eight o’clock on how you do it and what the basic idea is and then someone could get more information. Lets so ahead and talk to Rocco who has been holding. Hi Rocco you are on KLBJ

Rocco: Hello Patrick, how are you doing by you

Patrick Timpone: Oh good, I am good, how is it by you?

Rocco: I am doing alright I was wondering if your guest has any knowledge he can pass along about the rejuvenation of the  pancreas or how that is related to diabetes, I have been diagnosed with diabetes and I am wondering if you can put it as a disease and if he knows anything about this…

Patrick Timpone: Oh Rocco,  could you hold on one sec?

Rocco: Sure

Patrick Timpone: You want to try him on that other thing, Chris? Why do not you try it on that? Ok, Rocco, are you there?

Rocco: Yeah okay this is better can you hear him, Andreas, now?

Andreas Moritz: Yeah

Patrick Timpone: Okay go ahead, and so you are looking for some way to rejuvenate the cells of the pancreas, you got diabetes for a while?

Rocco: Yeah

Andreas Moritz: Are you having type 1 or type 2?

Rocco: Type 2. I was diagnosed about three years ago and I was able to control it with diet and exercise for a couple for years, but now they have me on a drug called Metformin and I am talking about a thousand milligrams of that a day and of course I’d rather not and I was wondering if you had any insight?

Andreas Moritz: Okay, the pancreas very much depends on the liver again because when your liver is producing bile, and it is basically passed into the gallbladder and whenever you eat a meal that requires bile for secretion and fat is the trigger for bile to digest carbohydrates, your body has to have fat in order to digest those carbohydrates and if you have protein in your diet, your body has to have fat in order to digest the protein, so in order to digest the fat, your body has to have bile secretion, now when you do not make enough bile anymore, and there is not enough bile to… sufficient enough bile, to activate digestive enzymes that come out of your pancreas then may of these unactivated digestive enzymes will remain or go back, backwash into the into the pancreas through the pancreatic duct, and when that happens your cells become inflamed, the cells of the pancreas become inflamed and become what they are called pancreatitis in fact they start getting destroyed; you can destroy the cells of the pancreas that are responsible for producing insulin. So the liver plays a huge role in this respect. The other problem that usually arises with diabetes  is that people over the years, they eat far too much protein, to process a steak for example,  a medium steak, your body has to come up with the amount of insulin that is required for about half a pound of white sugar to completely remove all the proteins and to process the proteins  in the body and so that can cause insulin resistance eventually, because too much insulin is causing cancer in the body, so the body will try to reduce the insulin production in some way or another and as your insulin production is curbed, then obviously your sugar will rise in the blood stream and you have diabetes.

Patrick Timpone: Andreas, do you think that everybody is so unique, and we have to end this and get into a break, but Andreas everybody is so unique the blood type and metabolic type and body type and diet type and what we think and believe, but do you think we work as a species in general made to eat any kind of flesh from the animals that swim and fly and two-legged and four-legged.

Andreas Moritz: Very difficult, you can only on average digest about one fifth of the amount of the meat that a carnivorous animal like a cat could digest simply because we have only very, very small and very low concentrated hydrochloric acid in our stomach. So if you eat a steak you can only digest up to ten, fifteen, twenty percent of it, what do you do with the rest of it? Now that has to be putrefied, that has to be decomposed, and when you do that, when you decompose flesh food, you produce amines and amines are carcinogens and cadaverine and some putrescine which are the small severe poisons that a human body can process and that is a source of so many illnesses and diabetes is definitely one of them,

Patrick Timpone: Interesting. Andreas, you say that cancer is not a disease. We only have a couple minutes here before the top of the break because we ran a long last segment. What is your opinion or what are the major causes of all these different cancers we see?

Andreas Moritz: Oh there are so many, there are causes such as lack of sunlight exposure, we now know that sixty seven percent of all cancers can be reversed according to the latest studies, simply by exposing a person to sunlight now you would not have such a high significant…

Patrick Timpone: Wow

Andreas Moritz: …growth if you had any number of chemotherapy radiation or surgery treatment.

Patrick Timpone: Now repeat that, repeat what you just said about sixty seven percent of cancer could actually be reversed by what?

Andreas Moritz: Sunlight.

Patrick Timpone: That is amazing !

Andreas Moritz: Sunlight induces the triggers, the release, of vitamin D, Vitamin D is actually not a vitamin, it is a hormone that the body is producing and if you make very little, if you have very little exposure to sunlight, you make so little vitamin D that your immune system is so depleted and weak that it cannot defend itself or balance itself. The body is not able to remove toxins waste products, carcinogens, harmful substances from that, otherwise it can trigger cancer.

Patrick Timpone: My goodness, so you mean, it would lead to that, with the life style that so many of us lead, getting up and going to work climbing in the car, doing eight hours, coming home…

Andreas Moritz: That is protected against

Patrick Timpone: yeah

Andreas Moritz: ..the sun. there is no plant that grows without proper sunlight. The body does not grow, every person has to grow. You turn over thirty billion cells per day that means you have to grow thirty billion new cells, now if you do not get the adequate amount of sunlight and sun exposure and trigger the release of enough of the vitamin D in your body, then your body cannot grow. Vitamin D is responsible for bone growth, for bone health, people’s osteoporosis, they need to be out in the sun otherwise there is no way they get stronger.

Patrick Timpone: That is amazing. Andreas Moritz, for those of you who just joined us, Andreas painted a very, very interesting picture the first hour about how critically important this large organ, the liver, is to virtually every disease and every means of staying healthy in this world. It is just huge and he told us how by eating physiological foods that are just not natural and good for us, the chemicals and preservative and too much meat and the hydrochloric acid and all kinds of standard American diet kinds of foods and fried foods and processed foods and packaged foods and boxed foods that so much of America eats that causes the stones in the, actually, bile ducts of the liver and then the bile cannot flow, and then it just goes downhill from there, it is all keyed in with digestion. So over the years you developed, Andreas Moritz, a different program and there are lots of programs one can get on the internet and we have had people on the show like Annie Jubb who we interviewed last night on one radio network show at seven o’clock and is the basic idea with yours as similar to many where one takes a generous amount of olive oil to get these stones out?

Andreas Moritz: Yes, that is correct, there has to be a good amount of preparation before you start off.

Patrick Timpone: Is it, what kind of things do we have to do before we dive in, so to speak?

Andreas Moritz: Yeah you want to prepare soundly as possible, for example in my system it was to drink some malic acid to loosen, or apple juice, a fair amount of apple juice for about six days, that means you drink about a liter, that is more than a quart of that juice throughout the day to soften up the stones. Use malic acid from apple juice or apple cider vinegar or cranberry juice or the malic acid itself to soften up the stones so that you get the maximum amounts possible, or to liquefy them, make them so soft and so mushy, that they come out very easily in a large quantity and when you do the actual flush you prepare by using some Epsom salts to keep the bile duct relaxed so that when the stones come out they just will literally, just moving down the pipe, and without any problem. I personally had forty gallstone attacks before I did my first liver flush and I never had a gallstone attack after my first liver flush.

Patrick Timpone: And you had a great success with getting many stones out?

Andreas Moritz:  I passed about three and a half thousand stones.

Patrick Timpone: Three and a half thousand stones!

Andreas Moritz: Yes. I had first stones when I was six years old.

Patrick Timpone: My god!

Andreas Moritz: And I used to faint, I had tremendous amount of pain in my body, especially right shoulder problems, neck problems, joint problems, arthritic conditions…

Patrick Timpone: Yeah

Andreas Moritz: And they all vanished completely, once my liver was completely clean, and the secret here is that you do not want to just do one flush or two or three, you want to flush until all the stones are gone…

Patrick Timpone: How often? You do that?

Andreas Moritz: yes

Patrick Timpone: How often you do the flush?

Andreas Moritz: Until all the stones gone.

Patrick Timpone: I mean like you do it once a week or once a month?

Andreas Moritz: You can do it once a month comfortably and it is done over a weekend, you take let’s say, on a Saturday you do the actual flush which starts at around six o’clock in the afternoon, in the evening, when you drink some Epsom salts and at eight o clock you drink some more Epsom salts and then at ten o’clock you take the oil mixture which would be olive oil and some lemon juice or orange juice or grape fruit juice and once you have drank that lie down immediately, and already that will be enough to trigger the gall bladder and squeeze out a lot of bile, so all the bile is starting to come out of the liver and the gall bladder at that time and brings along with it the stones that were trapped in the common bile duct and in the gall bladder.

Patrick Timpone: And then on an average, just a general idea, I am sure it depends on the individual, but how many stones come out at one flush?

Andreas Moritz: In my case usually there were between three hundred to five hundred stones there were some individuals that passed thousand stones in one sitting but mostly people pass between one-two hundred to five hundred stones.

Patrick Timpone: And how big are these stones?

Andreas Moritz: They can be anything from pinheads to pea size and chickpea size and almond size and even larger. My wife passed a calcified stone from the gall bladder, believe it or not that was two and a half inches!

Patrick Timpone: Two and a half inches!

Andreas Moritz: That was an enormous thing…

Patrick Timpone: So some of them are very, very old, so they get hard.

Andreas Moritz: Well, these are the ones that are found only in the gallbladder and these are the ones that when you go to an ultra sound…

Patrick Timpone: yes…

Andreas Moritz: …get an ultra sound done, you can see them, you cannot see the other ones… you cannot see the green ones, the intra-hepatic gallstones that John Hopkins University has a diagram on their website, you cannot see them because they are made of bile and bile is invisible to ultra sound.

Patrick Timpone: I see, so some of these stones are calcified so the doctors, the traditional conventional medicine people can see them.

Andreas Moritz: Right

Patrick Timpone: But there other ones are actually

Andreas Moritz: …invisible

Patrick Timpone: they are bile, but they are still problematic because they are blocking the…

Andreas Moritz: …hard bile, they are hardened bile…

Patrick Timpone: …hardened bile

Andreas Moritz: They are clots of bile, it is like blood clots, so it is like blood, you know that it is liquid normally but if it becomes hard it is a clot and you know what blood clots can do, they can cause strokes and heart attacks and they can do something similar to the liver they can congest the liver so much that the liver becomes actually fatty, it can no longer get rid of the cholesterol that it uses to make bile, which in the bile gets stuck, and it is building up and it is starting to penetrate the tissues of the liver and the liver becomes fatty and the liver eventually can go down to thirty six percent of its capacity where…

Patrick Timpone: My goodness!

Andreas Moritz: …you still do not find anything wrong with the liver, all the blood tests will give you a clean bill of health, and you are basically one percent down that is eighty five percent capacity your liver is dead.

Patrick Timpone: So is there a difference between flushing the liver and the gallbladder or is this all done in the same time?

Andreas Moritz: In the same time

Patrick Timpone: And they both have bile ducts they are stones or just the gall bladder ?

Andreas Moritz: The gallbladder has stones, just the same kinds of the stones as the liver, but it can also have the calcified gallstones which only appear in the gallbladder and never in the liver.

Patrick Timpone: I see. Oh, that is true, yeah, so that is pretty exciting. Is it uncomfortable, I am asking questions like I have never done it, folks, but I have done a lot of these, but I know these are the question you are asking, is it uncomfortable?

Andreas Moritz: No, absolutely not, you do not feel it until you pass the stones that literally end up in the toilet bowl. All you pass is water and stones the way the cleanse is designed, so you will literally see them floating in the toilet because these stones – the green ones or beige or whitish stones – they are the cholesterol stones they are made of cholesterol mostly and therefore they float, they are lighter than water so you can literally fish them out and you count them but it is very fascinating when people send me their pictures…

Patrick Timpone: I bet they do too

Andreas Moritz: Yeah

Patrick Timpone: I bet they do, I know my friend David Wolf this raw foodist, you tell me one day, you know, people send me pictures of the weirdest things that come out of their bodies when they start eating raw food and he said I do not know what they think I want these pictures for, but it  is so funny when he says that people send him pictures of all the stuff

Andreas Moritz: I have pictures form all over the world

Patrick Timpone: let me ask you before the break because I am still fascinated about the sunlight, what you said about the sunlight is just amazing to me, that a huge percentage of cancers can actually be cured because of just getting under the sun and getting the vitamin D

Andreas Moritz: literally yeah

Andreas Moritz: It is not just cancer as Johns Hopkins University the other day, they said if you are using sunlight you can prevent so many other illnesses. We now know that heart disease is reversible simply by exposing yourself to regular sunshine.

Patrick Timpone: well is there a lot less cancer in these kinds of things like in California and Florida where people get out more?

Andreas Moritz: no, people have less cancer the closer they are to the equator. There are studies out, American studies and Norwegian studies to actually show that if you have cancer, any kind of cancer, and if you are living in the northern part you are recovering much more slowly, and you have a higher incidence of cancer, you have the lowest incidence of cancer and multiple sclerosis and heart disease closer to the equator because people are exposed to more sunlight and you have the lowest skin cancer rate close to the equator, you have hardly any skin cancer in high altitudes where ultra radiation is the…

Patrick Timpone: that is fascinating!

Andreas Moritz: strongest. The people that have the most skin cancers are the people who do not get exposed to the sun, that live indoors, that use artificial lighting could be to work with, or indoor during the day even.

Patrick Timpone: That is fascinating. All right, we need to break here Andreas. Andreas Moritz. There are so many allergies to gluten, to this to that, so many different allergies, such a test you can take with blood and all that, why do we become allergic to some foods?

Andreas Moritz: Basically certain kinds of foods, they are again as I mentioned before, they are not really physiological so if there are ingredients in these kinds of foods that are added – like MSG or aspartame or artificial sweeteners or some preservative – then the body will react to those and so the immune system has a reaction to try to get rid of that which can eventually produce antibodies and then those kinds of foods, the whole food that the entire food, will be rejected and this way a lot of people are intolerant to those, many are also over exposed to chemicals they are not just part of the food but the pesticides in food…

Patrick Timpone: right

Andreas Moritz: …that are also airborne substances and emotional factors which should never be underestimated

Patrick Timpone: sure

Andreas Moritz: Many, many people that were eating, let’s say, certain things at the dinner table when they grow up and the parents were fighting over certain things and every time that person would then, later in life, would eat the same kind of food, he will have an allergic reaction basically through the memory of having eaten that food twenty years before

Patrick Timpone: sure

Andreas Moritz: and having been very unhappy during that time

Patrick Timpone: but now some of these tests that are out there, I do not know about their accuracy, but why would a person who is relatively healthy for example come back and say “well you should be allergic to almonds or oranges or broccoli or milk.” How that can be?

Andreas Moritz: well, again if generally food is not digested well, the food, it becomes very toxic and then the immune system will be engaged and trying to get rid of that undigested food

Patrick Timpone: these antibodies that it produces

Andreas Moritz: the body will react, if you have already developed problems with the bile duct of your liver then you will not be able to digest your food properly when the immune system will react to the…

Patrick Timpone: I see, so it is a digestion issue here for all these?

Andreas Moritz:  yeah

Patrick Timpone: pretty much

Andreas Moritz: ninety percent of the cases it is all purely digestive

Patrick Timpone: with allergic

Andreas Moritz: right yes

Patrick Timpone: allergic things

Andreas Moritz: and then the there are many, many other reasons why you can produce stones, these are simply you do not sleep well during the night time, the next day, you are not able to digest your food properly because your liver works between ten and two more than at any other time of the night and if you do not sleep during those four hours your liver will not be able to make bile to digest your food the next day

Patrick Timpone: very interesting

Andreas Moritz: so then you eat a big meal, most of it would remain undigested and your body has to react trying to get rid of the undigested food and when the body is constantly engaged in having to do that, then you will become intolerant to those kinds of foods and eventually develop severe allergies

Patrick Timpone: that is very fascinating. So folks, lot of the kids who take these allergy tests and they take a lot of prick tests and they stay off the foods and they go though this whole rigmarole but so you’re suggesting that if one can clean out their liver and the gallbladder, but why would a young child of fifteen or something, could they already be producing that?

Andreas Moritz: absolutely!

Patrick Timpone: really?

Andreas Moritz: yes

Patrick Timpone: really?

Andreas Moritz: actually a five year old Chinese girl and her seven year old sister do liver flushes and they passed a lot of stones

Patrick Timpone: at five years old?!

Andreas Moritz: They had so many allergies,

Patrick Timpone: my god

Andreas Moritz: asthma, and after they cleared the stones the asthma and the allergies completely disappeared. You can see in my own case, I had stones when I was six years old. And my mother had hepatitis three times before I was even born and so my liver was not very strong to begin with. The kinds of foods that people eat and they think they are healthy, just give a kid milk, cow’s milk to drink, it will produce a lot of stones…

Patrick Timpone: yes

Andreas Moritz: …in the liver and it is now known to cause diabetes. So if it can cause diabetes what else can it do?

We were talking about that, if you just tuned in, Andreas was saying some amazing things about how powerful sunlight is!

Andreas Moritz: oh absolutely and sleep, I mentioned sleep. One of the most powerful things recent research showed that nurses have a fifty times, fifty times, higher cancer rate because they are not getting enough sleep and they are not producing enough melatonin. When melatonin gets secreted around nine thirty and it peaks at midnight one o’clock and if you do not sleep during that time then you will become melatonin deficient and melatonin deficiency is now related with high risk of developing cancer, because melatonin controls a gene that controls the life cycles of cells so it tells the cells when to die and not to continue living and going on and on and on and on, which would mean they would develop into cancer cells, so the sleep is so important that just the other day again John Hopkins University came out with a piece of news proving that if you are not sleeping enough hours and that a typical American only sleeps only six to seven hours, so there is, actually five to seven hours and they were found to have a forty five percent higher heart attack rate. If you do not get enough sleep and you have a higher risk of developing strokes at a rate of sixty seven percent higher risk of developing a stroke because you are not sleeping enough. Now these are huge figures. Hypertension, for example, again in the body sudden change simply because you do not get enough sleep, if you added the sleep you would have a much less cancer risk, we know that much less heart disease much less diabetes we now know that diabetes, we know diabetes is very much related to sleep deprivation, not getting enough sleep, so it is virtually every kind of disease…

Patrick Timpone: what are some of your top reasons what causes sleeplessness in some?

Andreas Moritz: well it is not the sleeplessness, it is just people

Patrick Timpone: they are just going to bed late and waking up early.

Andreas Moritz: they go to bed every day at midnight they are missing out on the two hours before midnight sleep which is the most important time of the night, it is now known according to many research studies that it makes the immune system very weak. So gradually you become defenseless against the pathogens, the disease-causing germs.

Patrick Timpone: so getting into bed at ten is important

Andreas Moritz: oh it is absolutely vital and it used to keep people healthy, a hundred years ago only ten percent of the people had chronic illness. Today it is ninety percent of the people have chronic illness.

Patrick Timpone: ninety percent ?

Andreas Moritz: ninety percent.

Patrick Timpone: my god!

Andreas Moritz: so people develop chronic illness because they no longer live in harmony with the natural cycles, they have like chronic jet lag, it is as if they are travelling to Europe or to another country every single day and never recover from jet lag and that is basically out of touch with the circadian rhythm which controls plants, which controls animals, and it controls humans, and this, we are defying that as we live against the cycles of nature, then we obviously eventually get tired, we get fatigued, we get over fatigued, we go into a stress hormone response that after a while we can no longer relax, if you produce constantly adrenaline and noradrenaline and cholesterol and other stress hormones, your body will no longer be able to relax and be stress-free, it will constantly be agitated and nervous and anxious and that itself is not conducive to healing whatsoever, in fact, you cannot heal if you are under stress.

Patrick Timpone: all right it is seven forty two with Andreas Moritz, his website is ENER-CHI.com, look for their link on our site. And let’s go to Doug in downtown Austin. Doug, you got a question about gallbladder ?

Doug: yes I was diagnosed with, through ultra sound, with two gallstones that are too large to pass. And I am wondering how that would be affected by the flush which sounds very interesting.

Andreas Moritz: well, a lot of people including myself, I had a lot of calcified stones, in fact my gallbladder was completely packed full. So…

Patrick Timpone: wow

Andreas Moritz: …it is a difficult situation because you need some bile to actually expel stones but miraculously I did. Having had so many involuntary gall stone attacks, these stones just started coming out on their own after eating some fat, any fatty food and they were triggered by that. Now in your situation if you have only two stones it is not a big problem if you do liver flushes eventually they will come out, sometimes people pass them right away with the first flush and others after six or seven flushes but eventually they do come out and they come out painlessly, there is… you do not notice… you see the calcified stones, they will sink to the bottom of the toilet so you will see them sort of sitting at the very bottom.

Patrick Timpone: Doug how is it that you know, Doug, that you had the stones?

Doug: well I had a tremendous number of instances, not recently, but I had seventy during the first three months of last year.

Patrick Timpone: seventy what?

Doug: gallstone attacks and then one was lasted several days so I went to the ER and they did an ultra sound and determined that these two are too large to go though the bile duct

Patrick Timpone: what did they want to do?

Doug: they were saying that the only thing that will work is surgery.

Patrick Timpone: surgery!

Andreas Moritz: that is not quite true that they can’t go though the bile duct, it is just under normal conditions they do not and they get stuck and they cause a gallstone attack, and that is what you and I have experienced many, many times. Now when you do a liver flush it is very different, what you do is actually you push an enormous amount of bile out of your liver and gallbladder, and bile is very oily and the oily bile is like, when you want to get rid of, push a, get a ring from your finger and it does not come off and you put some oil on it will start moving, and like that, if you have a lot of bile and the bile ducts are relaxed that means they are not contracting which happens of you have an involuntary release of gallstones, then they would basically make the bile duct very tight, and then the gallstone cannot got through, whereas during a liver flush it is exactly the opposite your bile ducts are extremely relaxed because of the Epsom salts that you take and also because of the triggering of a large amount of bile that just moves the stones along with the bile, and the bile is so oily there is nothing that can hold the stones somewhere in the common bile duct

Patrick Timpone: and you trigger the bile by taking about, what is it, five ounces or eight ounces of olive oil?

Andreas Moritz: four ounces

Patrick Timpone: four ounces?

Andreas Moritz:  ….of olive oil and a citrus fruit both of them are triggers for the gallbladder

Patrick Timpone: do you recommend taking enzymes with the oil so you do not get nauseous?

Andreas Moritz: no

Patrick Timpone: no?

Andreas Moritz: during that you want to keep it as simple as possible so that you literally just release stones without interfering with…

Patrick Timpone: you take the oil on an empty stomach or full?

Andreas Moritz: oh if you take it on a full stomach you will get violently nauseous.

Patrick Timpone: okay

Andreas Moritz: you will throw up.

Patrick Timpone: that I why some people, they recommend doing the enemas before

Andreas Moritz: yes and also…

Patrick Timpone: fasting that day maybe?

Andreas Moritz: you eat, you can eat until lunch time and then you do not eat anything after two o’clock and that make sure that the stomach is empty when you take the oil mixture.

Patrick Timpone: and you take the oil mixture at what time?

Andreas Moritz: ten o ‘clock in the evening

Patrick Timpone: now do you do that because  that is the liver gallbladder time in the Chinese medicine?

Andreas Moritz: that is when the liver starts working, that is when you have the maximum release of stones and that is why you do not want to do it later or too early.

Patrick Timpone: Doug let me ask you I am just interested, you are a regular listener to the show?

Doug: yes

Patrick Timpone: you are. Does this sound might sound kind of wild to you, huh? And kind of out there? Or not?

Doug: well no.

Patrick Timpone: no?

Doug: it sounds like something that I am interested in trying, it certainly sounds preferable to surgery.

Andreas Moritz: I had a ninety year old man, he, they wanted to take his gall bladder out and he said you are not going to get my gall bladder and so he did the liver flush and right with his first flush he passed out all his calcified stones.

Patrick Timpone: I’ll be darned!

Andreas Moritz: and the guy was so happy and he got to keep his gall bladder at that age.

Patrick Timpone: at ninety years old!

Andreas Moritz: yeah

Patrick Timpone: my goodness!

Doug:  I would like to keep the gall bladder but lets get rid of the stones.

Patrick Timpone: yeah, yeah.

Andreas Moritz: you definitely want to keep the gall bladder. It is not necessary to get it cut out because once you have the gall bladder removed, you end up having a lot of problems , the risk of cancer goes up you become more like a, to, you are going to accumulate a lot more weight and there is only a trickle of bile, like drops of bile, constantly leaking out of your liver instead of being collected by the gall bladder and being controlled in the release in order to digest your food so you will always develop major digestive problems more so than you may have now.

Patrick Timpone: ok gentlemen, we need to break here so

Andreas Moritz: Well the best foods are really they are of the vegetable origin. I eat a lot of, plenty of fresh, fresh vegetables, with some spices and some fats like olive oil or coconut oil or butter and some unrefined sea salt and eat them with some grain foods at lunch time and preceded by salad, yeah fresh salad with lettuce, cucumber, avocado, olive oil, lemon juice and salt and then some beans perhaps as well or some nuts and seeds, and so I love those kinds of foods and in the evening I have a vegetable soup with some toast with bread with butter on it, and that is all freshly done and in the morning I have some oatmeal, I never get bored with it

Patrick Timpone: Yeah, oatmeal, you got to have oatmeal.

Andreas Moritz: With rice milk or almond milk or Sens milk and some butter in it and some maple syrup or some agave syrup or salados sugar and it is delicious with some nuts in it. Mid morning I have some fruit and so I eat all those kinds of foods and it’s the typical Mediterranean types of foods. I have lived in Cyprus for fifteen years in the Mediterranean and I was amazed how healthy these people are in those villages eating exactly those types of food.

Patrick Timpone: So you do not indulge in any kind of flesh food at all?

Andreas Moritz: No, I stopped eating any kind of protein food since I was very ill and they gave me a year to live.

Patrick Timpone: And you get plenty of protein  ?

Andreas Moritz: You do not need to eat protein  in order to make protein why would nature not put protein in breast milk for the first sixteen months of a baby that triples its size in the first sixteen months? Why would nature only put 1.4 percent protein in it?

Patrick Timpone: Andreas, we have to go…

Hi everybody it’s a Paul Nison from the Raw life health show here we are today with another great guest and as a special guest that I have been wanting to get in a while here so, why don’t you introduce yourself and tell everyone who you are.

Andreas Moritz: My name is Andreas Moritz and I was born and raised in Germany and there I left when I was 18 years old, now 57 and I have travelled and lived in many many parts of the world and in the last 14 years in the united states and what I have done in all those 38 years of practicing natural forms of medicines is to identify the root causes of illness rather than being satisfy with merely suppressing the symptom of the illness which did not work out for myself because I suffered from terminal illness when I was a child and rheumatoid arthritis, heart arrhythmia, a very dangerous form, and I collapsed every couple of weeks, I literally fainted and recovered after a couple of minutes but the problems that I personally endured and went through, they were so severe that I was incapable of sustaining myself, food would not digest and it created huge amount of toxins in my system that eventually my liver started failing and my kidneys did not work. I swelled up terribly, that my body was so congested that there was hardly anything that worked. So I began to look at different forms and different variations of diet and discovered that by making shifts in my diet, different things changed in my body and happened in my body and eventually I became vegan vegetarian and within six weeks my arrhythmia disappeared and I had no more rheumatoid arthritis which was the juvenile form, my anaemia disappeared surprisingly because my doctor said I suffered from low B12 and iron deficiency. And so, all of that disappeared and so I realised that there is something they said about how diet influences the human physiology  and in those days that was pretty unheard of, I am talking about forty years ago.

Paul Nison: Sure and currently now, how is your diet now? Are you still vegan vegetarian right now?

Andreas Moritz: Yes I am still and my body does not seem to change very much. I have more energy than I had when I was a kid and yes, I do not appear. if you look at my body you would not think that much has change in the last twenty five  years except some change of hair colour.

Paul Nison: Now, in your diet, how much of is your diet consists of raw foods?

Andreas Moritz: I would say I do not overly eat raw foods by the way. I use I eat a very-very substantial salad that has greens in it and some cucumber and avocado and some seeds like pumpkin seeds and then I do  eat some fruits lets say mid-morning or mid-afternoon that is about the raw part and I do eat cooked vegetables but I use a waterless cookware which keeps the enzymes and the vitamins intact so it does not destroy the food that just like normal cooking would.

Paul Nison: Well, now do you do take supplements since you are on a vegan diet or do you find that not necessary.

Andreas Moritz: No I do not take any supplements. I have never done that. I always tried to maximise the absorption of the food that I was eating and I discovered by optimising my digestive system. I did that through my own liver flushes that I  developed a system that would get rid of a lot of intra hepatic gall stones from the liver bile ducts and by increasing my bile secretion I discovered that whatever I ate I optimised the nutrient absorption from that food and that was certainly enough to supply my cells with the desired and needed nutrients. So I never took recourse to supplementation.

Paul Nison: So there is many different aspects of being successful at this. There is, you got to get the food that has the nutrients but then, your body has to be prepared to actually absorb those nutrients.

Andreas Moritz: Correct and with supplementation, over the years I found that many – many people they are not their digestive system is not capable of handling these  supplements because supplements are always harder and more difficult to digest than food that contains more life force and more fluids and liquid than the sort of extracts taken from these foods.

Paul Nison: And one of the things you focus on is the cleansing and healing of the bodies organs specifically the liver and the gall bladder. You wrote a wonderful book about this. Now there are many different types of liver and gall bladder flushes on the internet these days. Is your just more efficient or can some actually be dangerous?

Andreas Moritz: Oh they can be dangerous if you do not get the complete information about the liver flushes for example, there is some on the internet that simply take an oil and then use some cokes or strawberry with cream and things like that and they can create a massive release of bile form the gall bladder but without proper preparation what can happen is that the stones will not relaxing the bile ducts because there is something that is needed that you need to do the bile ducts so that the bile ducts do not get crampy that means that they are not contracting when a stone is passing through them so the bile ducts must be very relaxed like completely relaxed, letting any stones that come through them that they do not get struck there otherwise you can develop a gall stone attack. And I know how gall stone attack can feel like because I had forty of them before I did my first liver and gall bladder flush. So I had a lot of stones, my entire gall bladder was packed full with stones and most of them were calcified. So often times I had a stone simply by lifting something heavy or eating a more fatty meal if I had some little too much butter or olive oil or something then I used to have a gall stone attack and so stones would get stuck in the common bile duct and sometimes the stone was stuck there for up to three to four weeks so, I could not sleep at night, I could not find the right position to sleep and it was excruciatingly painful particularly during night time and so it is very exhausting and so, literally I discovered a way how to prevent that from happening and there are also ways that people have lets say eat a fatty meal and they have a gall stone attack, instead of going to the emergency room there are ways to stop that right away by drinking a glass of Epsom salts and doing some other things like drinking red beet juice and massaging the toes of the feet very vigorously, perhaps putting an application of warm apple cider vinegar on over the liver area and that relaxes the entire liver area so stones can pass. I have  helped literally thousands and  thousands of people with that simple information that they had a gall stone attack and they stopped it right away with these simple things I described.

Paul Nison: Now somebody follows these important instructions in your book , should they do the, is it different for everyone or should somebody do as maintenance just on a regular basis and if so for how often?

Andreas Moritz: Basically you want to get rid of all the stones that you have because if are just thinking, wow, now I got like five hundred stones out of my liver I do not have to do it again, then maybe another three or four thousands are in there and what happens is that when you do a liver flush, stones from the rear parts of the liver, they travel forward to the exiting bile ducts and there are two major bile ducts that are right in the exit before they combine into the common bile duct and it is going to the hepatic bile duct and when, before this happens, always see that a lot of stones sit there and if you are not taking them out once again and again and again so through a series of liver flushes, then these bile ducts get clogged up again and you have the same problem as before. So typically a person who does a liver flush finds that many of there symptoms become relieved. I have people that having incredible gastro intestinal issues and bloating and so they, they felt like a totally like a new person after the first liver flush but it did not last longer than three four days and then they had to, they realized that they had to repeat it and repeat it and repeat it until no more stones were coming out and that is how you can get rid of things permanently rather than just temporarily.

Paul Nison: So how often would you recommend somebody do it? Every week, every month or?

Andreas Moritz: I personally recommend to do it not more often than every three weeks , three to four weeks is ideal. It can be done every two weeks, I personally did mine every two weeks but it can be pretty rough because the liver needs some time to repair itself because when we have stones in the bile ducts of the liver, there is a lot of pressure exerted to the surrounding liver cells and the so called liver globules, these are units that have very-very delicate structures to them and if there is a presence of a large number of stones it causes these globules to become damaged and the liver cells become damaged to a point that you can find elevated ALS and AST levels , these are liver enzyme levels, where liver cells break up and liver enzymes that are inside these cells get into the blood stream and they show up on the liver blood test. So it I important to not overdo it, not do think well, let me just do one every week or so, because that can be very stressful to the liver.

Paul Nison: So you are suggesting, correct me if I am wrong, once a month would be a reasonable,

Andreas Moritz: Yes, every four weeks is very safe and very-very good to keep the momentum so that the new stones from the rear of the livers travelling forward into the exiting bile ducts do not get solidified and so impact these exiting bile ducts again.

Paul Nison: Now would that be for the rest of somebody’s life or just for a certain time?

Andreas Moritz: Typically it depends on the person, what kind of issues a person has? A person with rheumatoid arthritis, for example, needs a lot more cleanses than six or eight to be clean. I personally for me it was ten cleanses that got rid of three and a half thousand stones and I was clean and I have been clean ever since and I did my liver flushes fifteen years ago.  I do a maintenance liver flush once a year now. Because my diet and lifestyle is such that I do not produce any new stones, but it is still good to clear out any toxins that might be there in the liver which is taken care of by yearly or bi-yearly liver flush.

Paul Nison: How will somebody actually know when they have done enough for them? Is it when they have done several and then they have expelled a lot of stones and then the more they do it, the less they have until they have none?

Andreas Moritz: Exactly and it is good to , if you know more stones are coming out do another one or two liver flushes to make absolutely sure that there are no more stones left and so that is how a person will know.

Paul Nison: And then you said about once a year for maintenance just to check?

Andreas Moritz: Yes. Unless of course you are in a very stressful period in your life because stress, by the way, changes the bacteria composition of bile and that means the flora of the bile and so when that changes the person produce gall stones in the bile ducts. And so stress and the diet of a person, continues eating junk foods and gets exposed to other kinds of environment toxins or medication such as Statins which are a leading cause of gall stones then, you basically would have to do a liver flush twice a year to make sure that anything that has been created in the meanwhile is being taken out.

Paul Nison: How helpful or do you not recommend or do you recommend colonics or enemas during the liver cleanse ?

Andreas Moritz: Yes, absolutely because when you omit that important part, first of all you may not get many stones out of the system. The reason for example a person is constipated and does the liver flush, now constipation is directly related to poor bile secretion, bile is a natural laxative, so it helps the bowel to empty at the regular, normal intervals. Now when a person is constipated, it shows there is not enough bile, he has a quite a considerable amount of stones in the bile ducts of the liver and perhaps in the gall bladder. when a person does not clean out the colon before the liver flush, and I recommend to do it on the day of the liver flush, when he does not do that then the gall bladder may not open at all. During the liver flush and that can prevent the release of stones. So a person may not have a very successful liver flush, and, the reason why the gall bladder does not open because when it is almost like a tube a regular tube if you close it at one end then nothing can come in form the other end. So you have to open it on the one side, the end, the rectum if there is a stricture and constipation it does not move, it does not flow so there is no vacuum released in a way that allows the gall stones to be sucked on through, so the gall bladder may remain shut. So it is important to remember that when we do a liver flush to clean out the entire colon before hand or at least have an enema to get some movement going and then do another colonic or colema or at lest two or three back to back water enemas within three days after each liver flush to make sure that the stones that still remained in the colon which always happens or almost always happens with every person. Some stones will remain in the colon and then they need to be taken out because they are loaded with toxins and as they disintegrate and melt away because these are soft stones they are  not like rock hard crystallized stones, they are soft they are putty like and they have a typically green or beige or yellowish color to them and they in the warmth if you put them out in the heat, they will melt because ninety percent of them are fatty acids, it is fats that coagulated in the liver bile and so are cholesterol to a large extent that is why these stones when they get passed they float in the toilet. We can see them floating, because they are lighter than water but they are just as obstructive as regular gall stones in the gall bladder they are just softer but again they block the bile flow and that is one of the key reasons for digestive problems and numerous health problems there is just an endless number of health problems that can result simply form the congestion of bile ducts in the liver. it is unbelievable, because the liver is an organ that is responsible for keeping the body clean, it is the bodies filter, it is the blood filter, it is the primary blood filter that we have and it takes contaminants and metabolic waste products out of the blood and passes them into the bile and then the bile takes it down directly through the hepatic duct, the main duct that comes out of the liver which by passes the gall bladder and goes straight into small intestine where it passes the toxins that are in the bile out into the large intestine for excretion. Now Imagine if that function is diminished the blood can no longer be detoxified properly and instead the blood has to dump toxins into the delicate tissues of the body and when the tissues accumulate the toxins they eventually will not be able to breathe enough oxygen they wont get the nutrients, they start to deteriorate and  this co-creates and enhance the aging of the body and aging in that respect will also mean increased incidents of illnesses. Whenever the toxins have accumulated most, that is where the damage will become more obvious, more apparent, that is where we get to a diagnosis for.

Paul Nison: You said they would melt in the heat, why wont they melt in the body?

Andreas Moritz: Well there is a, they need a lot of bacteria and the airborne bacteria are capable of breaking them down, in the liver, there is a certain, it is like there is no access to like oxygenation there things like that can be oxidized away. The, in the body in the colon they will deteriorate, they will eventually break down and that is why I so seriously want people not to omit cleaning out the colon afterwards because that sludge, that basically melting sludge releases a lot of the toxins that are in these stones that the reason why the liver makes these extra stones or the stones is to trap the toxins inside them. To keep the rest of the bile as it sort of gets produces and passes through some of the not clogged bile ducts, that the bile does not get contaminated overly contaminated and become useless for the digestive process. So the body is very self protective, these stones are not there by accident, they are there by purpose, there is a meaning, there is a good meaning behind them but in the long term they of course become obstructive and that can hinder the five hundred or six hundred different jobs that the liver needs to do every single day to take care of the health of the rest of the body.

Paul Nison: Besides the enemas and the colonics what is your opinion about the herbal colon cleanses out there?

Andreas Moritz: In relation to liver flushes or in general just to keep the colon clean?

Paul Nison: Both. In relation to the liver flush, they help or hurt it? And just in general to keep the colon clean.

Andreas Moritz: They wont hurt the liver flushes but they are not extremely useful because they are mostly oil cleanses and for the liver flushes it is better to, lets say, the person does have a stricture in the ascending colon, and an oil herbal cleanse will not open up the stricture but a colonic will. And so in that sense washing out the colon is far more effective for this purpose but for like there is some other cleanses, I personally not very keen on the herbal cleanses that contain silium husk and the reason for that is because when I tested this process about twenty years ago when it first sort of was first discussed in natural health and I tested it on a lot of people these cleanses are supposed to produce a lot of fecal matter and lots of thicker matter or fecal matter and so I tested it on a lot of people, on my self as well, it is true they produce these ropes, rubbery ropes of thicker matter and when I examined them, most of them were expanded silium and bentonite clay, so because when you put the silium husk and bentonite together and you put it in a glass of water, it swells up tremendously, by hundreds and hundreds of times and so it becomes a rubber like structure and when it passes through the system it absorbs fecal water and of course some toxins but it also acts like a broom and the silium husk have very-very sharp edges to them. Because it is husk, it is un- digestible, it cannot be digested by the human body. And so it will act like a broom and delicate structures of the intestinal wall can easily get damaged by that. So I have seen a lot of people who take these things, eventually their peristalsis becomes very weakened, they discontinue that when that stimulation is no longer there, so the microscopic injuries all along the gastrointestinal track are quite significant. So I am very careful giving that advice using silium in powder form because it is still in microscopic form you can still see a huge number of tiny-tiny little sharp edges like crystalline structures to them. And so I prefer some milder forms that I for many years recommended people can use magnesium oxides like colosan or oxy-powder or oxy flush because it releases a large amount of oxygen into the intestinal environment, it oxides waste matter and it liquefies the waste matter, combines with hydrogen ions in the toxin and waste matter and then liquefies the waste and sort of comes out in the liquid form but it is not like diarrhea which can be weaken to the body and laxatives can have that weakening effect, even herbal laxatives can have that weakening effect. So I prefer to use something that is actually more a cleanser rather than a laxative.

Paul Nison: What about the taking clay just by itself without any of the silium, what do you think of that?

Andreas Moritz: It depends on the person who is taking them. I have seen with bentonite being beneficial in the so called pitha body type, I have described that in my book “THE TIMELESS SECRETS OF HEALTH AND REJUVENATION“, where that type does not tend to have constipation ever but a person like the vata type who has some more dryness in his intestines and he has a very lower water content. He is a dry person anyway, dry skin, skinny, thin person and more prone to constipation and that person can actually absorb the water and become like a plaster in the intestinal wall, so not very person benefits from that. The people that have a lot of liquid going through them, they can take that yes. It can be a great emergency relief it you have been exposed to toxins or sort of poisons that are accidently ingested or overdose of drugs, I have see incredible results with bentonite clay, I prefer the liquid bentonite clay, that you can buy, which is better as the body does not have to look for water in order to liquefy the bentonite powder and so that would be a better choice, there is also charcoal in that place, you can use charcoal to absorb toxins or poisons very-very quickly and it can prevent these toxins and poison to enter the blood stream and cause blood poisoning.

Paul Nison: You have mentioned that the liver cleanse can help people with digestive disorders, and I deal with a lot of people that have inflammatory bowel disease. How helpful is the liver cleanse, the liver flush for people with inflammatory bowel disease? And is it okay for them to take it during a inflammatory attack or should they do it when they are not in that stage?

Andreas Moritz: Typically you do not want to liver flush of you are weak, so for example, people who have an infection, an acute infection, where then that is better to wait until the infection has healed up. But if there is chronic inflammation, there are a lot of people who have crones disease and did liver flushes and they found it extremely beneficial because in the presence of bile inflammation subsides or diminishes so it is a great healer. It does a lot of things there is a new study that I just came across that, people who have a asthma and sort of constant inflammation of their respiratory system, they found that when they had a hepatitis infection and they suffered from jaundiced, the jaundice healed up their asthma and their respiratory inflammation. So  bile constituents when they go through the system and these are particularly they are two bile pigments that helped through that and so bile pigments are extremely beneficial for calming down and reducing inflammation in the  GI track, the problem with the lack of bile when there is insufficient bile coming out, hydrochloric acid form the stomach is not neutralized by the alkaline bile sufficiently and it can burn holes in the intestines. So you can get a lot of colitis like experience when you do not make enough bile because the stomach still produces HCL, hydrochloric acid and it is very burning, you do not what to drink hydrochloric acid but that is basically what we do when we do not produce enough bile.

Paul Nison: So you are recommending people with inflammatory bowel disease for the most part, if they are in an inflammatory stage,  it is better not to do it during that stage.

Andreas Moritz: Yes, it is better to, sort of, focus a little more on the diet, but, when there is no acute pain and these terrible cramps  and things like that, then, certainly liver flush would be appropriate because it would go right to the root cause of the problem. The inability of the body to balance out the acidity of from the stomach through the mingling with, mixing with the bile.

Paul Nison: And there is many different reasons from hemorrhoids to inflammatory bowel disease to other reasons that blood in the stool, if somebody has blood in the stool, would the liver cleanse be suggested to be avoided or would it might maybe help?

Andreas Moritz: Actually blood in the stool is not a disease , it is actually the body bleeding, trying to bleed in order to get rid of pockets of toxins that have accumulated there and so most people get frightened oh my god I have blood in the stool! This is terrible! And then medical intervention stops that which is one of the worst things you can do. It is better to let the body bleed it out and then the body can heal itself pretty quickly so, however during the, when there is blood in the stool I would not do a liver flush because a lot of toxins do go through the track along with the stones and you do not want to irritate that part of the body so it is better to take care of other causes that have contributed to the bleeding, that for example, certain foods that can be very harsh on the body like if you eat animal proteins like a piece of meat, the chances for the human body to digest more than twenty percent of that is very-very slim because we do not have high enough concentration of hydrochloric acid in our stomach to digest the entire piece of meat so we are not like cats that have like huge high concentration of hydrochloric acid so when we eat the same thing we digest only a fraction of that and the rest of it the eighty percent is not digested will have to be decomposed and that produces what are called nitrosamines, they are very-very powerful carcinogenic poisons and they get absorbed through the wall of the intestines and if they are not absorbed it can accumulate there and it can cause severe damage to the intestinal wall, so when we, that is why we find with colorectal cancer that people eat meat have a higher risk of colorectal cancer than people who do not. So it is very sort of a risk being on a vegetarian diet, of developing colon cancer is pretty low compared to people who are eating meat. So there are certain things you can do to reduce the sort of highly acid forming foods so that the healing can occur and then do the liver flushes once that is sort of been initiated and completed.

Paul Nison: Oh you have mentioned cancer in terms of helping people with cancer how much so does the liver flushes help people that are dealing with different types of cancer ?

Andreas Moritz: Basically you want to have clean blood with any kind of cancer so you want to make sure that the blood filter number one in the body, which the liver is, is clean too. Because if you have a dirty filter you know what that means, you are filtering something and more of the same toxins become released from the filter and then they enter the fluid and contaminate it even more. So having a bad unclean dirty filthy filter is not a good idea because it the filter breeds bacteria and parasites, all kinds of nasty things that may enter the circulation and in the blood, so it is not a good grounds to heal anything including cancer. So, and it really works, I had recently an oncologist come to me and he said you know my wife she had breast cancer for six years, and she was lucky to be alive and now the cancer has metastasized to the liver and to her bones and he said I have tried everything, I have been in this field for twenty years and I tried every new chemo therapy drug that was coming on the market that was promising but it never worked. it is getting worse. And so I took one look at her and there you could see from her pale complexion, very greyish facial skin color that her liver was totally absolutely blocked with all those drugs the chemo therapy drugs completely blocked her bile ducts and so there was just no digestion she does not digest anything, she just does not, she feel energy and she  gets bloated every time she eats and pain and cramping and so did the first liver flush and I have never seen anything like that, and it does not typically happen I can tell you that because million of people have done liver flushes and I get a lot of hundreds of emails per day for feed back, what people experience and I have never seen anything like that. This woman passed three thousand stones in her first liver flush and it took three days of constantly clearing, the liver bile ducts never closed down again and the gall bladder never closed, it constantly and it emptied the whole thing, it was an unbelievable thing and three weeks later the doctors came back to me and said we did the, we tested for all the cancers and there was not a trace in the liver, there was nothing left in the bones and in the lungs there was a tiny speck of cancer left tiny-tiny speck of which she was very confident that would go away during the next liver flushes. This was an extreme case but it really shows the mechanism, that the body can heal itself when it become decongested when it can once again circulate enough oxygen to the system, a thick blood that is congeal and then corrugated with all kinds of things that should not have there corrugating the protein but having a lot of toxins in there and acids that can remain in the blood stream, there is very little oxygenation of the cells and so some groups of cells with the least amount of oxygenation will succumb and will have to mutate into a different form of cell that allows them to live these are know as the cancer cells, but, these they are not bad cells they continue doing some of the jobs, they just have a different metabolism, they  do not use oxygen to gain energy, they use glucose that is why they have such a strong appetite for sugar and when a person eats a lot of sweet and sugar much of that will be just feeding the cancer cells.

Paul Nison: You mentioned that somebody if they do not get stones when they do a liver cleanse , they are not doing it successfully in a successful way. Can everyone expect if they follow your guidelines and instructions to pass stones?

Andreas Moritz: This day and age, people living in big cities which are just open them up, people living indoors and there is a new study that shows that indoor pollution is five hundred times higher than outdoor pollution and they tested that in LA, Los Angeles, so you can imagine the contaminants, recently again that there was study on children and new born and they found that in an average a new born child already has five hundred toxic chemicals in the blood stream. So as long as you do have these things because the blood is filtered out by the liver cells, the liver cells they do not, they bathe in blood, it is not like in all the other organs in the body, there are blood vessels they are called sinusoids and they have little holes in them so the entire blood moves through them and bathes the liver cells and the liver cells then take toxins out of there that the surrounding blood and then put new things in they manufacture them, the liver manufactures tons of enzymes and they make sure that the blood is not too thick and not too thin, that there is enough iron in the blood and if it is not it will supply that and so it keeps track of all the hormones in the body making sure that we do not have too many of one or too little of another so there are so many things the liver has to keep track so by dealing with the liver you deal basically with the rest of the body.

Paul Nison: Sure, and can somebody if their dealing, if they have a gall bladder stone but their doctor wants to do surgery, something else, if they follow the instruction in the book and they safely do it at home or there are circumstances where they should to do additional testing before they decide to do this flush?

Andreas Moritz: Well, I can only speak form the experience, of my own experience having gone though forty gall stone attacks, which did not killed me by the way, they were, maybe it felt like they killed me but, they did not. So it is a little overrated to say well if a person has a gall stone attack, his life is in danger, it is just that the pain is so excruciating, that you panic and then it sends you to the emergency room and they say look this is stuck, there is no other way and it is better to take out the whole gall bladder and then take the stone which were retrieved form the cystic duct or the common bile duct. So the answer is that I would suggest first drink a glass of Epsom salts, ninety eight percent of the cases, the stones, the bile ducts will become so relaxed that because of that that will pass on its own. I have just heard it hundreds and thousand of times making that recommendation as simple as it sounds, it just is far more effective than anything than a lot of medicines so far has to offer and in addition putting a warm poultice like a warm towel with soaked in warm apple cider vinegar over the liver area and it relaxes it, massaging the toes, the little toes, the small toes particularly the second to the last, the fourth toe, vigorously, that is the one that is where the gall bladder meridian ends and just by squeezing it very hard the stone may actually pass by itself. It also relaxes the bile duct, the common bile duct. So very-very effective things, strategies nothing would work in very rare case, than I would suggest yes, check in to the hospital, because we do not know if a gall bladder is completed packed or has perforated, but theses are extreme cases that means a person must have gone through many episodes of gall stone attacks and bloating, terrible bloating, indigestion, chronic indigestion for many-many years to reach such a dire situation.

Paul Nison: What do you say to people that criticize the flush by saying it is just oil that is coming out and not much else. What do you say to those people ?

Andreas Moritz: Oh they could do a simple test, I would suggest charcoal and charcoal is a black coal, charcoal as charcoal is, and it is safe to take, there is no side effects taking charcoal so when you add that to the oil mixture basically what you have is that, it will color the oil mixture black. So the olive oil is looking like oily or golden color will look black and so because of that when you do a liver flush and you are passing green stones, then you know that these green stones are not made from olive oil. That is a very simple test anyone can do that test and I have conducted that test many times, always works, so the stones are completely without black color. Where as if you do, lets say, charcoal today, you drink that you take a tablet or two you will find that your stool is becoming black. So it does color the a stool so it is not that you digest the charcoal it is not digestible. There are many other tests you can you. We have sent and other have sent the stones to laboratories and they confirmed these were cholesterol stones and they said green cholesterol stones you can also have, there are pictures of dissected  livers where you see the exact same color green stones and sludge that come out through the liver and they come out during the liver flush and you can basically see that they are identical. There is other, lot of people actually pass stones naturally and I used to as well, I saw these green stones before I ever did liver flushes when I had gall stone attacks, so some of them did go through and they were the same green colored stones and I never did take any olive oil and things like that. So then to claim you can possible turn olive oil even if used the golden color olive oil into red green stones it is quite, something that I never saw in the scientific literature that could happen. Yeah it is completely illogical, we are not a self stone factory, that we somehow can manufacture stones that stink, any one who has done the liver flush has, finds when you smell some of these stones, they have a horrendous smell, putrid, poisons, it is like chemicals  from, particularly when people do chemo therapy and then they do liver flushes, they smell like chemicals of the drugs in the stomach. Then there are people who have done a number of liver flushes like three four liver flushes many of them report already during the preparation period when they, which is used to soften the stones for six days, they are already passing the same stones and there is no olive oil taken during that time so it is definitely not from the olive oil. When a person eats a very fattening greasy meal, there is a lot of bile secretion and the person who does not have any stones he would not make any olive oil stones from having a lot of olive oil. I have lived in the Mediterranean for fifteen years, in Greece, cypress and on the island of cypress, and people there use olive oil like you would think there is a soup and most of it is like olive oil, it is literally full of olive oil so they eat a lot of that and they are not producing  green gall stones, in fact it has been shown that person who have a lot of olive oil in their diet, they make less of these kinds of stones.

Paul Nison: So in terms of you mentioned olive oil, well can people use a different type of oil such as hemp oil or avocado oil or is avocado the only thing recommended and if so is there what particular type of olive oil versus another do you recommend.

Andreas Moritz: Yes, I tend to propose that people use olive oil and that is the first pressing olive oil, virgin olive oil. But yes avocado oil would be another alternative because it is a food oil and food oils are better than the concentrated seed oils, so sunflower oil can be used and has been used by people who cannot tolerate olive oil there are other oils that are colorless and so they produce the same result, by the way, so I test that as well, colour stones, so it is irrelevant. But the olive oil has shown to be more effective and that is why I prefer that.

Paul Nison: Is there one type of olive oil that you recommend over another like it should it be refrigerated olive oil or dated olive oil or it does not make a difference?

Andreas Moritz: No, like with every oil it should not be rancid and the older oil I the more likely it becomes rancid, particularly seed oils they become more rancid more quickly, however, and nut oils  obviously, but olive oil is more, is less susceptible to oxidation that means to acidity and therefore one does not really need to be concerned about that most olive oils are suitable if you have had it in your kitchen for two years then yes use a fresh one buy it from the grocery store. Most of them are clear there are some that have other oils mixed into them but people who know olive oil, they detect the difference they know that this is a punched oil that has other oils in them that, there are some companies that want to make a lot of money form olive oil because it is more expensive and they put soy oil in it still smells of olive oil when you open it but it does not taste the same. I do not recommend those.

Paul Nison: Does it say on the bottle that there is different oil that is

Andreas Moritz: No. because they can say one hundred percent olive oil and then they do not have to say that is does not, that it is not one hundred [percent olive oil

Paul Nison: So how do people know?

Andreas Moritz: Usually people who know about olive oil they can taste it, there is a different, but the color it is looks like these commercial sunflower oils which are like this bright beautiful golden color. These are refined oils, processed oils. So stay away from olive oil that has a golden color tone to it, it should have this greenish  sort of tone to it. Greenish golden. That is a more genuine type. There are some brands that are coming out of California and they are not so good, I would not want to give you the names of them.

Paul Nison: Ok sure I understand. So what about coffee enemas they good for helping cleaning the liver or not recommended?

Andreas Moritz: Yes for people who cannot clean their liver, coffee enemas is a good alternative, but, unfortunately, it does not get rid of any stones. It opens the bile ducts and allows the liver to release some toxins and it can be felt quite immediately, you would feel after a coffee enema you will have more energy for a couple of days until the presence of gall stones will then again re-contaminate the liver, because it is like you are closing the exit doors and or shutting them at least some extent and it cannot, the bile cannot sufficiently be secreted and eliminated it when there are a lot stones in the bile ducts of the liver. So it does not replace the whole flushes definitely. It does not even get close to it. I should not replace the colon cleanses because they coffee enema goes up to the rectum and it is not a colon cleanser it literally just opens bile ducts in the liver and helps the facilitate or prompt the release of more bile from the liver to get rid of some toxins that can come out of the liver.

Paul Nison: Since it opens up bile ducts would it be beneficial to do coffee enema while you are doing the liver flush?

Andreas Moritz: No because then that is a double whammy the liver flushes is already so effective it gets rid of stones and toxins that are in the bile ducts as well so it does not do anything more than you already doing with the liver flush.

Paul Nison: Now Epsom salts prepares a person for the liver flush and helps in cleanse them some what you recommend doing a colonics or an enema prior to doing the flush if someone does the Epsom salts and they do not have a bowel movement is there any need for concern or not necessarily?

Andreas Moritz: Yes, if a person does not respond to Epsom salts then there may be a blockage in the colon. Such as a stricture and or there maybe a the person may have a tendency to constipation, so then definitely cleaning out the whole colon would be very important prior to the actual liver flush itself. The Epsom salts which is basically magnesium sulphate or the use of magnesium citrate which works almost as well as Epsom salts will keep the bile ducts open during the entire process. So you start off two doses of Epsom salts before you do the liver flush in the evening and then during the next morning you take another dose of Epsom slats. So there is a double function to the Epsom salts, keeping the bile ducts open so that the stones can travel easily without getting caught anywhere and the second function is to work as a laxative to transport the stones and waste down into the exiting, to the colon and rectum for elimination

Paul Nison: If some body is doing a good amount of fasting and colonics before the liver flush nothing would be really there to come out during Epsom salts so that could just be one of the reasons why they were not reacting. Correct?

Andreas Moritz: Well if they are completely clean, then the Epsom salts will not produce much. No.

Paul Nison: Okay another question is, you mentioned that yourself you have done many of these, I do not know how your diet was before you started doing these cleanses but after you have you said the absorption of the food was much better did. You notice a difference in the amount of food you needed to eat? Did you need to eat much less?

Andreas Moritz: Right, I used to eat a lot because I did not get much from food so I tended to overeat. I have been a vegan vegetarian for forty years now. But I was only eating the things that I was eating and that created a lot of more problems, but I just craved that, I felt I needed it because I did not get much energy from foods so I started eating more and I craved the foods so I was overeating chronically. When I did my liver flushes the overeating stopped spontaneously and then so I was eating never to the, keep filling up my stomach,. My stomach actually began to shrink because it used to be extended because I just hacked in so much food. And so my stomach became smaller and so the need to eat the same amount of food as I needed before was no longer there, and so, I found that my digestion became so much more efficient so I made better use of the food I was eating therefore I did not need to eat as much and I eat very little in the evening it is basically just some vegetable soup with a piece of bread with butter on it and that is totally satisfying. My breakfast is also pretty small. Lunch is my biggest meal of the day where I eat fresh food that means raw like salad to begin with and some cooked vegetables, very deliciously prepared and some basmati rice or some other grain foods that I always eat enough fat with these foods and some spices and herbs they make it very delicious, maybe some coconut milk and things like that and I digest extremely well sometimes I have some nuts or seeds or maybe some pulses, legumes but not very often. I do not have any deficiencies of any kind, no protein deficiencies, muscles are strong, no energy deficits, I work form six o’clock in the Moring sometimes into unfortunately to ten o’clock at night, I sleep around  never wake up at night, I used to have to go to the toilet three times, my kidneys recovered from and my prostate completely recovered from the problems I had when my liver did not work very well.

Paul Nison: You mentioned two questions there, you mentioned you have been a vegan for forty years but then you just said you had bread you eat bread with butter.

Andreas Moritz: That is the only exception. So I still consider myself vegan but the only exception is butter and I found it did not cause me any problems so, I made the exception. It was not that I had philosophical reasons to become a vegan or a vegetarian it just it saved my life. I could not live anymore I literally destroyed myself because of the protein that damaged my blood vessel walls, it cause a lot of heart problems and the rheumatoid arthritis, my blood circulation was so minimal that my toes were frozen even in the middle of the summer. My fingers were always cold, I could not get up from a chair or from the bed without feeling faint and having some blackness in my head and so feeling very weak inside to go and sit down again and get up very-very gradually. So my life was very much sort of walking on crutches all the time and it was not fun and so by changing the diet that was the first time when I noticed a massive improvement and so I stuck with it and survived. If you can do that and it saved my life and they gave me one year to live so it saved my life and extended my life by forty / forty-five years or fifty years then I am not unhappy.

Paul Nison:  Actually I know my viewers are going to ask . how old are you?

Andreas Moritz: I am fifty seven.

Paul Nison: Great wow.

Andreas Moritz: Oh! Fifty eight

Paul Nison: Okay and you mentioned sleeping patterns did you notice a big change in how many hours you needed to sleep after the flushes?

Andreas Moritz: Yes, I used to not sleep very well. So it was sort of hard to go by the length of the night because in the night time I used to have a lot of pain so even if I did not have gall stone attacks I had shoulder and neck pain and headaches and pounding headaches that I  did not sleep well and then my urinary bladder was just so contracted because of so many crystals from all the proteins I used to eat. Uric acid crystals that they started constricting my bladder and so my bladder was filling up so easily and so quickly so I had to run to the toilet two three times every night and so when I that disturbed my sleep tremendously. So I was never really rested. So when after my liver flushes I just took me two to three seconds to fall asleep and I would wake up in the morning completely rested after about seven eight hours.

Paul Nison: Wonderful now tell us about the connection, you said you have been a vegan for a long time. Do you take B-12  supplements or there a connection with the liver and being toxin and B-12.

Andreas Moritz: Yes B-12 is then there again there is a lot of controversy on the subject. Cause there is the idea that vegetarians or vegan people they have a deficit of B-12.  B-12 is stored in the liver. The amount of B-12 we need during a lifetime is about the amount of the top of the pinky nail. And these are basically bacteria, dead bacteria that is where the B-12 is. And we, in our gut, we do have B-12 and we do absorb it. So when a person had digestive problems that is when they develop B-12 deficiencies. When the digestion improves the B-12 deficiencies disappear so once gain it takes us back to the liver and the liver regulates the digestive process if you do not make enough bile, then you do not digest any food properly. Most people believe, oh that is just there for fat, to digest fat, to make emulsified fats, but, it is not true. Bile is needed for every food, why? because we need fat to digest carbohydrates. Carbohydrates cannot be digested properly without fats. Proteins which always come with their own fat unless you remove the fat like the skimmed milk which is the real nuisance. If you remove the fat from the milk you wont be able to digest the protein you need to have fat in protein and fat in carbohydrates to digest them, if you eat rice without fat adding like butter or oil to it, it will go through the small intestine in record time, it literally will just go though it and will end up in your large intestine and ferment there, that means you will produce a lot of toxins because fermenting bacteria produce a lot of toxin. So it is important to realize that that bile is so important with regards to digesting any kind of food because you digest fat and the fart is needed to digest other food as well. B-12 could be absorbed there is a need for bile salts that also need to be absorbed and passed in the liver and with lack of bile secretion there are lack of bile salts. You develop a deficiency of all kinds of nutrient elements that otherwise would be there so I have never had a B-12 deficiency ever again ever since I became vegan vegetarian. It is interesting when people eat a lot of concentrated protein foods they are actually having a higher instance of B-12 deficiency simply because they produce a lot of putrefied foods and that clogs up the membrane and the end part of the small intestine where the absorption of B-12 takes place. So a lot of congestion there from undigested food is the major reason for B-12 deficiencies. It is not that a person is vegan vegetarian or meat eater. It is when the food is not digested properly that is the main reason for that. And that can happen to any one there are a lot of vegan vegetarians that are very ill, they do not look good, they are frail looking, weak, they are bloated all the time, have a lot of gas, there are just not on the good balanced vegetarian diet.

Paul Nison: What about probiotics and the liver flush is there any connection between probiotics supplements? Does it help the liver flush at all?

Andreas Moritz: Not that I found. It is a cleansing process when you cleanse the body you do not want at the same time to feed it.  These are two different things. I always find that cleansing the body, the liver and colon and kidneys, there is a kidney cleanse in my book “THE AMAZING LIVER AND GALL BLADDER FLUSH” that is also vey important because the kidneys, when the liver is not working well, the kidneys get contaminated very easily. When you are cleansed the body, you utilization of the nutrients in the food are optimized so you have a much better chance to generate a balanced probiotics environment where you have the beneficial bacteria thrive and the destructive bacteria also be there but not dominate and so that the  beneficial bacteria keep the destructive bacteria at the right number for them to do their precious work. There are no bad bacterias, it is just that there is an imbalance because either we are not digesting food well because there is not enough bile coming through or we are eating foods that are contaminating our bodies outright. And that requires more fermentation of putrefaction that you need on a regular basis it is well know that disturbs the bacteria population in the gut.

Paul Nison: So the body give off the liver really produces enzymes, so the enzymes supplementation help or hurt? Or is it good in general?

Andreas Moritz: I am always careful recommending enzymes supplements because it is like giving a person a crutch. It is better to train the body, re train the body to produce its own enzymes and it has nothing to do with age, most people think well the older we grow the less enzymes we make. That is really a very non scientific statement because you turn over cells all the time you turn over thirty billion cells, that means we produce thirty billion new cells and we get rid of thirty billion old cells hopefully. However if there is a blockage in the bile ducts of the liver and the metabolic waste products are not removed properly the cells not have the same capability of renewing themselves, replacing them selves in the correct intervals them you will have a lot of dead cells accumulating or damaged cells premature cells that are not fully developing so all kinds of issues arise when this happens. So I am not in favor, there are some circumstances where people were benefited, they do need the crutches like in real like sometimes you need crutches at least for some time but in the long term and as a general statement, I do not recommend taking enzymes to make the bodies own enzymes production sort of put it in on the  back burner almost like suppressing the bodies own enzyme production. The thing is that when we put in a substances or nutrients into the system, the body will look at what it produces itself and say well if that comes in, say for melatonin, tremendous thing for jet lag and for some mental issues and for getting calmer, and so, there are a lot of people take melatonin supplements but when you do that the body stops producing or reduces its own production of melatonin, so you become dependent on the supplement melatonin. So it is not the same when introduce something from the outside than we produce it. The body produces the enzymes in the right amount the right amount of enzymes in response to the right mount of bile. If you have less bile the body also produces less enzymes to digest the food because it is not wasteful it does not want to produce like twice as much enzymes when it has only very little bile to play with. There is an interaction between pancreatic enzymes and the bile from the liver and what is that? That interaction takes place right where the bile is entering there small intestine because before the bile enters the small intestine it mixes with pancreatic juices and it has to do that because the bile activates the digestive enzymes that come from the pancreas so without enough bile if there is not enough bile around these digestive enzymes form there pancreas they may be there but they cannot do anything because they are not activated by the bile so we should always look at the sort of the larger picture and not think well I am not digesting my food well so I better take enzymes and yes they work, they absolutely work, people have less gases  but the long term consequences of that are not known to the person.

Paul Nison: Well you have given me a lot of information about your actual flush and I want the viewers to know we are not going to tell people what the flush is, we are going to tell them to get to your website and get to your books to find out the exact instructions of the flush because it is more than enough information we have time for here today. So I wanted you in a second to give out your information how people can contact you, but, I do have one question about the flush. Some people do drink straight olive oil and some people mix it. Do you recommend one over the other or do you not recommend one of those?

Andreas Moritz: It is hard to drink it straight, some people really get very nauseated when they do that. The second thing is there is something in citrus juice like lemon juice or orange juice or grapefruit juice, when they combine with the olive oil you have an enhanced effect. These citrus juices, they also open the bile ducts they are known to do that. That’s is why lemon juice is pretty good for the liver and the gall bladder, it is also good for the kidneys, so it also minimizes reduces calcifications, so lemon juice is very good. It is very supportive of getting a successful liver flush going.

Paul Nison: All right. Give everybody how they can contact you because  you not only deal with the liver you deal with all types of cleansing. Paul Nison: Great. And in terms of weight issues, if people are having trouble putting on and take off weight once they cleanse their liver that will definitely help them achieve their goals right?

Andreas Moritz: Yes and because it changes the metabolism and when we digest food more we metabolize it better. You do not convert as much into fat when people get fat they have weight gain problem. It is not a problem it is a solution to an underline problem because the weight gain helps to neutralize toxins when people think oh these bad fat cells that I am accumulating, the bad fat cells are actually very good and helpful cells because they accumulate a lot of toxins and so they keep these toxins away from the blood stream, so they are doing you a favor. So when you want to lose weight it is important to first open the channels of elimination the liver, the kidneys and the colon otherwise you do not bring, you breaking down forcefully a lot of these toxic elements they flood the system and they clog up the exit organs, the eliminative organs and this can cause serious problems particularly to the heart. So a lot of people get heart attacks when they suddenly lose weight, I have a written a book called “FEEL GREAT – LOSE WEIGHT” which is the, a person makes itself feel great by cleansing all these organs you start feeling great you lose weight automatically, you do not have to regulate your weight the body does that for you. It is designed to do that. The weight gain is a survival response. It is not a disease, it is not physically it is not a disease it is a survival mechanism and should not be destroyed or targeted or manipulated. It should be naturally, it should happen naturally by taking care of ones diet and lifestyle, cleaning  out the body, taking care of the basics so that the body can regulate its own weight and without any-any side effects.

Paul Nison: And that would be the same thing for people that struggle with high cholesterol exactly what you just said flushing the liver ?

Andreas Moritz: Yes definitely. The problem with having high cholesterol is not a problem at all. It is in fact never been shown to cause heart attacks. In fact it is now shown that the Statins, and it is a brand new study to show that Statins that lower the cholesterol there is an increased risk of heart attack form doing that also brain damage and now Alzheimer’s disease, the latest study that came out a couple of days ago it is actually causing diabetes. Statins cause diabetes. So when  you take the cholesterol down through artificial means you create  massive inflammation throughout the body and that is signified by these inflammatory illnesses like Alzheimer’s and diabetes. So you do not really want to go down that road. You want to go the organ that is manufacturing the most cholesterol, when there is inflammation you need cholesterol to patch up the wounds and to heal those wounds by taking care of your health in this manner you are reducing the chances of inflammation, eating less animal proteins, reduces inflammation throughout the body and through out the blood vessel system then you have a much better chance for lowering the cholesterol the body will take care of this. This is not something we have to forcefully do and otherwise get a lot of side effects form doing that.

Paul Nison: Great and here is the last question Andreas . Exercise is it helpful and can the body get rid of these stones and is it advisable to stop exercising during the flush?

Andreas Moritz: No, you can do exercise on the day of the liver flush, nobody wants to exercise, you do not have the energy to do that, so nobody will do that because it takes a lot of, it is ,like having surgery, you are clearing out the stones all the energy goes into draining out the stones but before the liver flush, no problem, I am not a great friend of over exercising to push the body. Fifty percent of the capacity that is how far one should go. Not more, if you can run ten miles before you collapse, run only five miles. So just half of what you could do and exercise should be enjoyment. It should really make you feel, good not make you feel tired or exhausted. If it makes you feel tired you are getting congested from doing that and if it defeats the purpose. There is some studies to show that walking three times a week reduces the risk of cancer by fifty percent from John Hopkins University.

Patrick Timpone: yeah. You were just telling me you all had a big hail storm in north Carolina, south Carolina.

Andreas Moritz: yes it cooled us right down but it is going to be up eighty, ninety five again today

Patrick Timpone: so you had hail storm at the night and ninety five today!

Andreas Moritz: Yes.

Patrick Timpone: Yeah, that is crazy. What nationality are you?

Andreas Moritz: I was born in Germany, but I lived all over the world so I basically lived a bit of everything.

Patrick Timpone: yeah. yeah. Well as you well know that German culture is very keen on details and very, lets see, work ethic, they have a great work ethic

Andreas Moritz: Oh they do.

Patrick Timpone: Do they?

Andreas Moritz: Yes

Patrick Timpone: So is that where you get this? I mean you write a lot don’t you!?

Andreas Moritz: I try to. There is so much to do everyday and I do work seven hours a week and twelve hours a day but I still write and I have written thirteen books now.

Patrick Timpone: thirteen books!

Andreas Moritz: and two more to come out this year

Patrick Timpone: and you have two more!

Andreas Moritz: hmm hmmm

Patrick Timpone: so you spend a lot of your time doing consultations with folks around the world right?

Andreas Moritz: I have cut back on that

Patrick Timpone: have you

Andreas Moritz: Yes I try to focus on writing.

Patrick Timpone: ah ha- ah ha. So I want to start with cancer do Andreas Moritz tells do we get to and create cancer cells ongoing in our body? I have heard that. Is it true?

Andreas Moritz: oh yes.

Patrick Timpone: do we?

Andreas Moritz: it is just like in any factory setting when you produce a product, you will have some of them, even though the machinery is perfect, it will still produce faulty products. And like that in our body when we turn over thirty billion cells per day one percent of these cells will undergo genetic changes that are akin to cancer cells. So we have to produce cancer cells each day in order to keep our immune system alert and make sure that our ability to deal with cancer cells is up to date. It is never sort of the body is not becoming lazy and forgetting how to deal with cancer cells

Patrick Timpone:  so we are producing cancer cells just because it was the way it was designed and helps the immune system stay on its toes. So that is separate from the cells that may mutate into abnormal cells with chemicals and things like that.

Andreas Moritz: that is correct

Patrick Timpone: so in a perfect we would still create cancer cells.

Andreas Moritz: we do and cancer cells cluster together eventually if there is an external threat of some kind or when we are exposed as you said to chemicals which are known as carcinogens or to radiation that comes from medical instruments or you just the general air pollution or water pollution, fluoride in the drinking water and other environment toxins, foods additives, so there are many things that are can have a carcinogenic effect that means the changes or these things change the environment of the cells and so once the environment of the cells change, then in order for the cell to cope with that very stressful condition it will have to adjust itself to those circumstances and in order to that it has to mutate. That means the generic material has to undergo changes in order to live with those threatening situations and the body does that very eloquently. I am amazed about how wise these genes are. They can mutate in fifteen thousand different ways that means if there is a change in the environment that is, that could potentially threaten the life of the person then, these genes will undergo the genetic mutation necessary to deal with that. Unfortunately we call that a disease. In reality it is a protective mechanism, a survival mechanism.

Patrick Timpone: is it doing the same thing for radiation for example in the air from Japan?

Andreas Moritz: it does start with radiation, yeah well, the Japanese radiation is actually quite low compared to the radiation that you get from a chest x-ray or if you have a mammogram then that is like two thousand  x-rays, if you have a cat scan or a whole body scan then you have like fifty thousand chest x-rays. So the radiation that comes in form these devices or you go through the airport security and you go through one of the full body scanners, according to new research by professions done at five universities, you get fifty times higher exposure to radiation than was initially told to us and so basically you get so much ionizing radiation coming into your system or non ionizing radiation which also can lead to genetic mutations in the cells. So yes, radiation is definitely one of those and the body can deal with it. So when a person develops the cancer it does not mean that there is something wrong, it is just the body is trying to right something, trying to correct something and that is why if we treat cancer as if it were a disease then we are in real trouble because then we are putting our own fear and the anxiety which can dampen or suppress any kind of appropriate healing response in the body to deal with this situation.

Patrick Timpone: so that is why it is said often in the last few years, Andreas Moritz, that this early detection, that the mainstream media is so keen on, all the mammograms and detect and early could be more of a problem because perhaps they just do not understand what you just said?

Andreas Moritz: that is correct but they do understand and there is a lots scientific research that actually confirms what you just said. So it is no longer just hearsay or some people thinking about it and putting it into articles but this has been studied very carefully. So, yes, early detection is not an advantage. In fact with the early detection methods you are introducing more sophisticated mammograms for example for breast cancer has lead to an huge number of cancer detected that are not really cancers at all. That just like little benign growth that many women have and live a perfectly, comfortably, for the rest of their lives without ever every having any malignancy develop there and yet they are being treated as if they had a cancer there and then they have biopsies which can them cause so much damage to our particular cell groups that are very delicate and sensitive in their structures that they actually undergo cellular mutation which them can lead to real cancers. So nowadays a lot of controversy in this field. Many-many doctors and scientists,  based on scientific research, they do not do mammograms, they do not do this early detection, because they also found according to top cancer researchers that cancer does not behave in a straight line like from A to B. Once you have cancer then it is going to definitely develop into a tumor that can endanger life and in reality that is not true. In fact so many cancers disappear on their own and I have written and about it in my book “CANCER IS NOT A DISEASE” that up to ninety five percent of all cancers actually vanish on their own and there is studies done on autopsies of people who died for all kinds of reason. They were never diagnosed with cancer, but, they died from accidents or poisonings or whatever and they were found to have on an average about forty, forty-five percent of them had tumors, cancerous tumors in their body that never ever bothered them. So if you do not know about the cancer you have actually a better chance surviving that than if you know about it. So diagnosis can be very-very tricky thing because once you have a diagnosis and you go home with that diagnosis which typically means oh my god my life is being threatened you undergo a severe stressful condition or experience which causes death fright and death fright triggers the fight or flight response, that means, you produce adrenaline almost like non stop day and night, you produce cortisol which suppresses the immune system the adrenaline and cortisol constrict the blood vessel to your digestive system that means you do not digest your food anymore. You do not absorb nutrients your body is going into wasting phase where the body is losing strength and vitality and the immune system can no longer deal with it unless you have proper nutrition that means nourishment of the cells including the white blood cells and the B-cells and so on the killer cells so you are literally paralyze your entire system when you go home with that diagnosis. You cannot sleep any more because the brain is trying to keep you awake in order to find a solution to this problem, so the diagnosis therefore can lead to havoc in the body completely upsetting all the hormonal systems because once you produce the adrenaline for prolonged periods of time you also cause adrenal damage you enter exhaustion. There is no energy for anything and as I said there are many studies to show that if you have a diagnosis and you deal with it like this, then you do not die from the cancer, the cancer does not really have in it that can kill someone but you die from the death fright that you experience and if a person is being told that I have cancer then they should be given a solution to, it not just killing the cancer, but actually empowering the person making the person feel that oh the body is actually healing itself because cancer should be recognized for what it really is. It is a response to an underlined condition to the causes of cancer that the body is trying to rectify and it is doing that very eloquently. It even builds, the body builds blood vessel to support these cancer cells if the body and the body is not wasting resources or energy it does that because it knows that these cancer cells are doing something good that the body itself cannot do anymore because we have somehow interfered with that we have eaten foods that are congestive, that cause gastro intestinal problems, that lead to toxicity, the bile ducts in the liver are clogged up that the body can no longer purify, detoxify the blood. So cancer cells by their very design can take up toxins. They even harbor bacteria and viruses and fungi inside these cells. Next to a cancer cells you will find at least twice as many white blood cells, white cells, which cluster together along with these cancer cells. So sixty percent or more of any tumor consists of the immune cells. So why would the body do that if the immune are suppose to destroy these cancer cells. It does that normally with the daily occurring cancer cells that are one percent cancer cells that you create simply through turnover cells but the other kind of cells the cancer cells that we saw to as tumors or blood cancers, these cells are not targeted by the immune system. The immune system is actually protecting them and that should be a red flag for us. Why would the body do that.

So why do these cells then why does the body form it into a tumor sometimes in the breast. What is the body trying to do here?

Andreas Moritz: well it is actually complex if you see you can never just say that the body is independent of your emotions and feelings and so on. What I found and actually there is quite a bit of research now even the CDC, the center for disease control and prevention, have admitted that emotional stress, emotional distress which can be for many reason like a divorce, separation from a loved one, children are being alienated so there are many – many conflict relations which can translate into very powerful biochemical changes through the brain, we know we produce neuropeptides for every thoughts feelings and emotions we have. And these neuropeptides are very-very powerful. They can suppress the production of interleukin into serous which are anti cancer and antiviral drugs the body produces or they can suppress the immune system. They can enhance the immune system depending on what kind of thoughts you have so if you are distressed over a period of time the body will be forced into protective mechanisms such as if you for example have to fight something, you are in a court battle and the court battle lasts for three four year, what is happening is that you translate that as a sort of a threat on your survival and so biological programs will begin to manifest which will express themselves as producing extra cells so because you are no longer capable of using what you have, that means for example aveolie cells in the lungs to give you the extra oxygen that you need in order to cope with that stressful situation knowing very well that you are under threat, that you are producing the flight or flight response so that means you are producing extra cells in the lungs to take up extra oxygen that these muscle cells and other cells need in order to get through the stressful experience so now if you produce those enough you will find that you have extra groups of cells that seems to be abnormal, that do not belong there. Now if you get a diagnosis and then they say well you have a mass there, a small mass, in your lungs we need to work on this we need to give you chemo therapy or radiation whatever so you go home and you now produce the side effects of the diagnosis which I talked about before. Now if you allowed this process to continue and you are lets say you win the court battle or the divorce is over and you become friendly with your ex spouse and again and so it becomes sort of a non event after a while then the body will start attacking those extra cells, it will break them down, it will have to do that thorough a series of events that will include infection eventually, so inside the tumor, that is why the immune cells will cluster to the tumor cells, it will not kill them, it will allow them, they almost protected them and there is a protein exchange that immune cells produce and that goes actually on to surface of the cancer cells so nobody can harm these cancer cells because they are very important at this stage these cancer cells will harbor viruses and bacteria particularly TB bacteria and so the body always has TB bacteria somewhere, we have to have them, they were given to us when we were breast fed by the mother so she passes the TB bacteria on to us so this bacteria and the Candida bacteria as well will begin to accumulate in the tumor mass and it will make the tumor mass grow very rapidly at that stage and then usually doctors freak out they say oh my god the tumor is growing so aggressively, they call it aggressive tumor growth, but in reality it is building up on a lot of lymph fluid and these bacteria until they have reached this saturation point where then they can be a massive infection and when the infection occurs and your breathing is very shallow, you feel you have fever temperature, you get actually massive fever so the infection will then break down the tumor mass provided you do not take fever reducing medication or antibiotics, if you take antibiotics and you reduce the fever, what you are actually doing, you are not allowing the completion of the healing to take place. There are now one hundred and fifty one studies to show that when a person is not allowed to have an infection, your risk of cancer goes up significantly. In fact when you look at childhood illnesses, these studies have shown that if children are allowed to grow through the measles, chicken pox and all those other mumps and other diseases which are meant to strengthen and build up the immunity of the child, if you are not allowing that to happen, these lacking infections during childhood would significantly increased your risk of getting cancer later in life and now one part of every two people will develop cancer in this country, which is more than any other country in the world, so we are through the vaccination programs which is about three time this much as a child lets say in Finland or Iceland you get we have such higher much higher rates of cancer in this country and we should think about why that is. And the new research actually confirms this has a lot to do with not allowing ourselves to have infection. Going back to the lung infection, if the lung infection is allowed which is being stopped medical intervention if we allow that then the tumor will breakdown within twenty four to thirty six hours.

Patrick Timpone: it will break down?

Andreas Moritz: oh it will completely disappear

Patrick Timpone: my god!

Andreas Moritz: and it will come out in liquid from through the urine. So the person would go to the toilet about twenty thirty times a day and will pee protein, literally, so when the doctor instead of saying oh my god the person is peeing protein must be some cancer in the body, it is the other way down it is the body breaking down the cancer

Patrick Timpone: my goodness!

Andreas Moritz: so if we learn to listen to the body let the body do its works instead of interfering you will have a chance to heal the cancer naturally we would not have to have all those cases of complications where five hundred eighty thousand people die each year from cancer

Patrick Timpone: and it is the same paradigm Andreas Moritz in the breasts as well that you just  described with the lung tumor ?

Andreas Moritz: yes

Patrick Timpone: it is the same

Andreas Moritz: well it depends on the kind of emotions that a person has so when you look at someone who has breast cancer, you can trace it back to something that either happened during childhood or an ongoing conflict with a mother or a child, a separation form someone that that person loves, someone who died and you could not cope with that like a mother if a woman was very close to her mother and the mother died then that can lead to this separation conflict which can trigger through the body mind body connection but suppressing certain hormones in the body or excessively producing estrogens so it can lead to estrogen , estrogenic breast cancer. Genes really do not have anything to do with that genes are blamed on this a lot but these genes as a new research shows they do not just out of their own just want to create cancer because genetic mutation alone according to the new research, cancer research, cannot produce cancer. Genetic mutation alone cannot produce cancer. There need to be at least one or two or three more co factors and these co factors are diet, lifestyle, eating habits, emotional stage all kinds of things that change the environment of the cell. And so, cellular changes, internal changes, like nuclear changes where the genes mutate the self mutation or gene mutation needs to be coordinated with other changes in the cell environment before it can develop because cancer cells cannot grow unless you grow new blood vessels and to grow new blood vessels has nothing to do with the genetic mutation inside the cells so you may have tons of genetic mutation and nothing every will happen to you unless you actually support that the body is actually supporting the cell mutation and then you develop a cancer tumor.

Patrick Timpone: when a lady having a breast cancer tumor diagnosed and they say well it is malignant or benign, what is the difference and what is the allopathic conventional medicine people are seeing and does it make a difference to the people who is looking at it from a natural perspective?

Andreas Moritz: well one is suppose to go aggressively

Patrick Timpone: right

Andreas Moritz: and but there is nothing in a cancer cell that has a weapon in it. So it is not that a cancer can kill someone. There is no poison in it. Not that the body is suddenly causing its own death because it has a couple of cancer cells, what it does, is that cancer cells have a better appetite than regular cells that means they gobble up a lot of glucose and so they can gobble up fifteen times the amount of glucose that a normal cell consumes or is capable of consuming that means the surrounding tissues can go into a wasting syndrome but the reason why the body is allowing that is because cancer cells, given there circumstance of what the person is going through, are actually more beneficial so temporarily these cancer cells they can take up poisons, toxins carcinogens, they can encapsulate themselves eventually and they can become inactive if we allowed it to happen. But normally the body will undergo a massive infection if we allowed it. And it would dispose off the tumor. So the more aggressive the tumor is that means the body is really working on this. Cancer is a healing mechanism, it is not a, it shows that the body is undergoing a healing already. Before the cancer is diagnosed, lets say in the breast, for example you may have like two billion cancer cells , there is no way that you can detect those two billion cancer cells, it is too small, but once it is reaching like four billion cancer cells or suddenly you are able to, the mammogram will find it all oh! there is a speck of cancer here! So we got it and the earlier we get it the better it is that is not entirely true. If they give you something to reduce it that means they give you chemo therapy or radiate it and then say oh! We got all the cancer because we can no longer see it. But it just back to the two billion level. It has not been completely eradicated. So it does not really medicine make a difference, it is just that for the time being it looks as if you have cut off the tip of the ice berg. You do not see the ice berg any more and you think that it is gone. But there is a whole mountain underneath

Patrick Timpone: my god!

Andreas Moritz: so that is why when you do these radical treatments you do not do anything to prolonged the persons life. According to the latest research statistics there is no advantage of from chemo therapy and radiation which have a 2.3 percent success rate in treating some rare cancers that but  breast cancer is not among them

Patrick Timpone: this maybe totally new information to you if it is you just sit tight and you are going to have a lot of it this morning with Andreas Moritz. He is in north Carolina. Andreas thanks for spending some time with us this morning. I want to talk a bit about this connection with infections and cancerous cells. I do not quite understand it. We have been told by many people over the last few years that there is definitely a connection they seems to be accurate with for example maybe root canals and breast cancer and such because of these toxins or maybe the decapitations and gum disease, if that is true and it seems that it is research certainly seems that it is with Dr. Hal Huggins and Dr. Dawei and Dr. Steven Hines that we have talked to and other people. Is the body trying to deal with these infections or these toxins that are put out by these infections like with a root canal, is that is what is making more cancerous cells or what is going on?

Andreas Moritz: there is a difference between chronic infection and acute infection and so the hundred and fifty studies that I mentioned that were incidentally done since 1860 so and up to 2008 and so these studies show that when you have an acute infection that is like a mumps infection.

Patrick Timpone: yeah something that comes quickly and does not stay.

Andreas Moritz: right and particularly during childhood which seems to be very important but they also found that acute infection lets say you get a bacterial infection or a viral infection like the flu and influenza and it goes up and disappears after a couple of days. These are extremely beneficial many people have chicken pox, adult people get chicken pox and have cancer, they found that the cancer disappeared after the infection

Patrick Timpone: because the immune system just got in there and did something.

Andreas Moritz: right basically the body cleans out, the flu is only necessary if the body is toxic, otherwise you would not get flu or viral infection, so the body uses bacteria, viruses and fungi when there is something in the body that it cannot get rid of itself for example damaged cells, if you have a root canal and you had a damaged nerve cell. The nerve just killed , if you have anything that is dead, like in a root canal, then it will attract automatically certain bugs, certain bacteria in order to decompose that because the body does not want to have anything dead in it or damaged. So damaged cells will attract bacteria, fungi go after dead cells, that is why people have foot fungus. There are a lot of dead cells the circulation is very poor to their legs and to their toes and so then they attract fungus that will then decompose off or digest at least some of these dead cells. So whenever there is some good reason for these microorganism to come into the body and that causes an infection if the body keeps producing the same problem again and again that means the congestion is not elevated, liver is not cleaned out, the blood is still unclean, the body keeps something toxins into the connective tissues of organs and system so after a while you will develop a chronic infection. When you have a chronic infection somewhere whether it in a tooth or somewhere else then the cells in that area will become they have to undergo the cellular, the genetic mutation and become cancer cells. Imagine when there is a traffic jam and the cars are not moving it becomes so congested that the supply routes are interrupted so it can disturb an entire city. I remember living in Europe, sometimes the French truck drivers they would block the highways, they would just could be on strike and then no car could go from anywhere it just could not move anywhere so they supermarkets were emptied, the grocery stores, there were no supplies anymore so this could paralyze the entire country like that if there are major parts of the body congested like that the large intestine if you have constipation all the time or if you have lymph drainage problems the lymphatic system does not work and the metabolic waste products and the dead cells that you produce that you try to turnover each day so get rid of each day and they start clogging up the path ways and so the body becomes so congested that not even oxygen reaches a group of cells and that means these cells have to undergo genetic mutation, they have to adjust in order to live off lactic acid for example which is a metabolic waste product that is trapped in these tissues so now these now called cancer cells doing at least maintaining some of the functions of the organs but not in the best way and so unfortunately we vilify them, we should praise them and say thank you for at least helping me though this phase and maybe by cleansing my body I would be able to reverse this and then these cells can once again get oxygen, they will either die of or they would revert back to normal cells because we now know that genes can change in fifteen thousand different ways, so if you change the environment, they will have to change, the genes will have to change because they do not do anything, they are just a blueprint and a blueprint can be rewritten and we rewrite it all the time though our feeling emotions, what we eat, what we expose ourselves to environment toxins or fresh air and good clean water. So all of that makes a huge difference. Vitamin D, if a person goes out in the sun on a regular basis without sunscreens and sunglasses you will produce a lot of vitamin D and vitamin D is now known to prevent cancers why does it do that? Because the vitamin D controls more than three or four thousand different genes, very important because  that are responsible for keeping the immune system strong, keeping the body cleans by allowing the digestive system to function well , for the cardiovascular system to function optimally for the liver to work properly so all of that depends on vitamin D. and a person who is not getting enough vitamin D will have a problem with these part of the body. So they become suffocated and then you then complain some cells in those organs will they are under going genetic mutation and these genetic mutations supposedly them causes cancer but it is not entirely true anymore.

Patrick Timpone: Andreas Moritz in the case of the mouth we can see how we could possibly have this chronic infection that the do not know about decapitation or root canals or where else in the body does do chronic infections go on that we do not know about and how would we know? I mean the mouth is kind of it is a little bit easier if you understand what you are looking for. But how do we know if we had chronic infection somewhere else? Where does it happen?

Andreas Moritz: well, it happens again when there is a need for it. That means, when for example an apple falls from the tree, it is overripe, it is been hanging on the tree for too long and then it will drop and then will get bruised and so that’s the area where the bacteria will start coming in and suddenly you find the whole apple is being digested by these bacteria it is called decomposition, and then there will be a film like a fluffy thing around the whole apple which is the fungus which goes after the dead apple cells so basically this is what happens inside the body when we have areas that are congested cut off form proper oxygen supply and so these parts of the body need to be infected, if is happening in the tooth the bacteria that decompose parts of these cells or these dead nerve cells or other cells that have been damaged there, then, they produce micro toxins. Micro toxins are a very-very powerful, they get everywhere so when they circulate through the body then they can cause irritation and inflammatory responses so when you have an infection you will know that something is not quite right in the body, I do not get my energy is low, I may become irritable, I become very emotional, become depressed or something, you know that there is an underlines something somewhere that does not allow me to feel good and when you do not feel good that means you have an underlined, even if a little bit of infection. Many people do not realism that the liver for example doe not complain very much but there can be many liver cells that are become damaged and partially decomposed, so, we call that liver infection but liver infection can have like many-many-many different levels so it does not necessarily mean that you can detect hepatitis C or B or A or whatever. You can have a very low grade of that simply by having congestion in the bile ducts of the liver where you can store hundreds and thousands of stones and the surrounding tissues will start becoming weaker and weaker and weaker and then you will get bacteria or you get a virus coming in that will enter the nucleus of the cell and will start changing it in order so that cells to survive in that environment or to die completely so that the body uses viruses to kill these cells which are potentially capable of mutating into cancer cells so the body uses the help of microorganism which then create the infection but they are themselves not causing the infection that is the misunderstanding. We give so much false credit to microorganisms and blame them for causing havoc in our body but this theory which was started by Louis Pasteur that has been discredited long – long time ago even by himself he said it is not true, it the terrain, it is the environment that attracts these bacteria or germs into it without the environment, without the toxins, without the contamination there is no bacteria or viral infection.

Patrick Timpone: so are you could it be said that you advocate even in the case maybe of lymes spirochete or lymes bacteria or herpes or such would you ever try to go after that directly with colloidal silver or something else you going to try to actually get that directly or would you work with the immune system and have that deal with whatever is out there.

Andreas Moritz: yes. It is not a problem, I would not use colloidal silver, I would use silver soil which is a different silver product, it is more efficient it is smaller it is nano particle silver that is actually  dissolve in the water but in any case, if you want to do that, you want to make sure you stop creating the same situation over and over again

Patrick Timpone: right. right.

Andreas Moritz: because then the body will have to come up with other mechanisms which often creating more severe illnesses than the little infection that you might have had. It is always wise not to suppress symptoms but work with the body so that you work on both levels, deal with the root causes while you deal with the symptoms to just make your life a little easier but do not juts attack the symptoms without the underline causes otherwise you end up with worse problems than you had before.

Patrick Timpone: but in general is that a good idea to be keeping the immune system with different products or medicinal mushrooms and things like that resheen

Andreas Moritz: yes anything that is part of the food chain and anything natural is fine. I personally do not take anything. I am fifty seven years old and I used to be very ill, even my liver was not clean, many of the supplements that people take they just do not get absorbed they end up in your toilet bowl, so it is really a lot of wasted money. It is very hard to absorb a lot of these supplements unless you have a well functioning digestive system and then you probably do not even need them anymore. But the focus should be rather on getting the digestion up to par, to make sure that you produce enough bile. Bile regulates almost the entire digestive process if you have only a quarter or third of the amount of bile that you are suppose to secrete then your digestion is not going to work and the supplements that you take up even calcium or other minerals will not be digested and absorbed properly because you need bile to digest and absorb minerals.

Patrick Timpone: so that is why then your book “THE AMAZING LIVER AND GALL BLADDER FLUSH” you think is key that folks can do this and get the bile flowing?

Andreas Moritz: yes, you find, at least I found, because millions of people have done this process now, that people with cancer that you find almost every person who has cancer has congested bile ducts in the liver and when that is cleaned out then the body has a chance to mop up toxins that means the body does not have to take recourse to such practices as cancer in order to deal with it.

Patrick Timpone: lets go back to, so many emails we get with ladies, god love them, with breast cancer, you know, tumors , so you suggesting if you say with the mouth issue and you get rid of all these infections and if you can find a diet that is rally working for you that is good that your body likes, that the body is going to eat this tumor up. It is going go away by itself.

Andreas Moritz: yes, there is a natural course of developing because cancer does not develop from out of the blue for no good reason, it has a good reason and the reason is always the body works with cancer to heal itself or something else that is been bothering it for a long – long time. It can be something very simple for example some I have written in my book “CANCER IS NOT A DISEASE” that many cancers are created because women wear bras. Such a simple thing because bras often cut into the lymphatic ducts

Patrick Timpone: yeah

Andreas Moritz: sop the lymph drainage from the breast is inadequate so the breast accumulate a lot of toxic materials such as dead cells. We know that the body turns over thirty billion cells per day if you are not removing those cells from the breast tissue and you do not remove the daily produces lactic acid, uric acid, urea, ammonia and all those metabolic waste products that are highly acidic, if you do not do that the tissues itself become drowned in acid pools and so there are studies to show that if you do not wear any bras women who do not wear bras have hardly any breast cancers and women who wear bras for eight hours a day they have a much higher level of breast cancer and there are some women who wear them twenty four a day and they have the highest rates of breast cancer

Andreas Moritz: so you can see that there are many different potential causes that many women do not know anything about. It is good to learn about them so that you stay away from the need for cancer to grow I the body.

Alicia Sharon: Hi, I do have a question that I have for you. I do not like bras so yea! I am so glad that you said that. But getting away without wearing a bra is a whole another issue I am sure. And the question that I was going to ask you I am going there, I just had a root canal because and I heard you talking about this that is why I called, I had a root canal because I had a tooth infection at the root of my tooth and they said it was chronic I just did not know that is what was going on, it was under a crown but I felt so much better after I did the root canal because the pain went away and I just kind of felt like I was taken care of but now I am kind of considering it was a chronic infection. Am I in danger or something? and then also kind of going on the same lines is that I have another tooth in my mouth that I think it was a cavity or I had a filling and it also has an abscess at the root and they are considering doing a root canal but we are going to and I am seeing a holistic dentist she said that we will watch it for little bit and see if the infection, if your body can fight it off itself or if the need to go in and do a root canal so if you have any suggestions on what is going on or what I can do? it would be great.

Andreas Moritz: root canal really are a source of pain in a way because you do not often know what is going on underneath. You do not really have access to the tubules inside the tooth, these are tiny little like tunnels and if you connect all the tubules, the little tunnels with one another you have several miles long tunnel and so in these tiny little tunnels you have these bacteria sitting there and waiting for something to do and so if there is more dead material or damaged cell material they will start keeping the infection going it is just goes up a little while and you feel fine and then it goes it drops and so you have these fluctuations that can go on undetected and you do not really realize that there is a source of chronic infection there. So I am not in favor of any root canals because of that it is sometimes safer to get the tooth out and work with that later but it is a real – real troublesome way always better to make sure that the teeth stay healthy, each tooth in the body is connected to different part of the gastro intestinal track there is one tooth related to each vertebra of the spine so if there is any trouble in the digestive track you will develop some problems in the respective tooth so it is good to clean out the digestive system so that the body has a chance to also heal up the tooth situation but once you have a dead root canal it is just doggy, if personally I had one, I do not have any tooth problems, I am fifty seven, I had a tiny little filling that happened because I was eating on a rock on a stone found in lentils but I take care of my digestive system and therefore I do not have any tooth problems I do not even get my teeth cleaned.

Patrick Timpone: Alicia I might suggest we have a whole dental section on our website. And you are going to hear lots and lots of various dentists form around the world including Dr. Hal Huggins that will tell you opinion their opinion that there is no such thing as a safe root canal so I would really look at that before you make some decisions about leaving that one in or getting another one.

Alicia Sharon: I was just wondering if, can the infection clarify itself the one that I had not done a root canal on considering it is at the root of the tooth right down below the surface, can my body fight it?

Patrick Timpone: it is hard to say is it not andreas?

Andreas Moritz: yes it is very unpredictable because the whole thing is unpredictable it is killing something in the body and having dead cells sitting there the chances that bacteria will infect them is very-very high.

Patrick Timpone: you really have to find a dentist that is going to be able to go on there and look very-very delicately at the situation and just because they call themselves holistic dentist, does not always mean that they really understand how this works, it is very tricky business the mouth so please listen to interviews and then you can ,make some wise decisions thanks for the call. this is from Michelle in Lanchester Pennsylvania. “Good morning. Wow I am really appreciating you guys for some reason this is making something click in my mind and heart. I feel like I actually I have some power over what may happen in my body. Janet: Hi I am Janet I am calling form Boston.

Patrick Timpone: I do not know if I got that one but go ahead,  how can we help Janet.

Janet: well I am a big fan of Andreas I have read his liver flush book probably eight times and just done my second liver flush.

Patrick Timpone: how was that experience? did you get some stones?

Janet: yeah I did and I am also have a masters degree in pharmacology actually a 105 graduate hours from a top ten institute and I am holistic health consultant

Andreas Moritz: oh wow !

Janet: so I am very interested in this for myself and for sharing with other people in an email I wrote last night it was actually to make notes to remember what to say to you this morning. I wanted to bounce my hormones, lose weight,  I am post menopausal, it has been very hard for me to shed the extra seventy pound I have put on since my divorce a couple of years ago. I am also very allergic, horrible seasonal allergies to mountain juniper, okcapon here in Texas, lots of mould, have some arthritis but that is better since I stopped eating tomatoes, in December I used the four Chinese herb tinctures you mentioned in your book. I contacted Julia Chan, I read every article on her website several times, I did not get stones out with the flush but I did a couple of things different, I used magnesium citrate instead of Epsom salt

Andreas Moritz: right

Janet: I actually used natural calm

Andreas Moritz: okay

Janet: you are probably familiar with that.  I also did not use olive oil, I used walnut oil and I vomited. Later I was told that walnut oil was too hot.

Andreas Moritz: right, Yeah I would not recommend that.

Janet: yup and I found out the hard way. I did get out a lot of bile, I might have got some stone but I did not really catch those. Now five month later I did my second flush I waited because I moved and got distracted. On this flush I did not drink the apple juice like I did on the last one, I used the malice acid

Andreas Moritz: right.

Janet: and I took the capsules, and I did not see that about putting it in the water. I took 2400 milligrams morning and evening with food, I weight over 200 pounds so I figured that is not too much for me. I also did a 1000 milligrams of torian morning and evening I read somewhere that it was helpful and I did that for five days .

Patrick Timpone: so how can Andreas, what would you like to ask him?

Janet: okay cut to the chase, I want to know what does he think about putting the Epsom salts in capsules?

Andreas Moritz: I am not in favor of that because you want to have them dissolved in enough water so that it can reach the different parts of the liver and the gall bladder and the bile, the common bile duct so that all those parts relax during the liver flush whereas if you have it in capsules then body will have to supply enough water in order to at least get that done in a similar way so makes it much -much easier for the body if you already dilute it.

Janet: well I did drink it with the six ounces of the distilled water that I was suppose to dissolve it in.

Andreas Moritz: yes, it can that is better if you drink it with the water but it is still would be better if it is non crystallized when you actually ingest it where as the Epsom salts crystals are harder to dissolve when you ingest that with water then if you already dissolve it in water.

Janet: well I did read in one flush description, and you know there are hundreds on there web, to dump the crystals in the water and just toss it down without waiting for them to dissolve that is what gave me the impression.

Andreas Moritz: no, I, in my book I describe that it should be properly dissolved to have the maximum benefit.

Janet: okay my second question Andreas is that, today I am starting a master cleanse after three days of easing in, I finished my second flush two weeks I want to do one very three or four weeks. Can I do it while I am on the master plan?

Andreas Moritz: I would recommend not to fast because when you fast you do not produce enough bile and the gall bladder is actually shrinking during that time because there is not enough bile, it is not stimulated and therefore the body is not producing new or dumping new bile into the gall bladder when you do a liver flush you want to have the maximum of bile possible in the gall bladder so that you, once it is stimulated, it is all bring out the stones with it.

Janet: have you heard of the egg and lime flush?

Andreas Moritz: no.

Janet: it has been posted as being easier somehow they are doing it without Epsom salts they are doing it with a little bit of sunflower oil but they are using egg and the lime.

Patrick Timpone: it sounds like you really kind of skipping around a lot with different things my dear.

Here is a email from maxim in Geneva, Switzerland “Andreas please explain some more on your vegetarian lifestyle. Do you take milk products at all, raw unpasteurized or eggs or valuables do you see any dangers of vegetarian diet with respect to dental health?” There has been a lot written about the, people the advocates of the, what is it the, I forget it, nourishing traditions idea that some animal fats are really necessary for dental health. What do you think Andreas?

Andreas Moritz:  well I agree with you, I do eat butter unsalted butter that is the only thing I have from animals and I have been vegan vegetarian for forty years now. There was a time though when I could not even digest the vegetarian diet. I was very ill with eating animal products and particularly dairy products and I had rheumatoid arthritis and arrhythmia, severe anemia, multiple deficiencies that virtually everything that I ate, I could not digest. And when I stopped eating meat and chicken and all those kinds of foods I at least got rid of the arrhythmia and I did not die, I was told I was going to live for just another year and I was just twelve years old.

Patrick Timpone: my god!

Andreas Moritz: so when I changed the diet it did have an impact however only when I cleaned out my liver and removed about three and a half thousand stones that is when my health really took off and I was perfectly capable of deriving my nutrients from the simple vegetarian diet, I eat lots of vegetables, cooked vegetables, some raw like salads lettuce, cucumber, avocado those kinds of things and food, grain foods, nuts, seeds, spices, particularly turmeric and anything that goes with it like in curries and coconut milk or coconut powder  that I add to the food make it very delicious so it is very easy to nourish the body with these kinds of foods, legumes sometimes, so I do not see that there is a necessity to eat other foods that are from animals particularly when now like in America we now know that chicken for example have arsenic in them, they are actually fed with arsenic to kill parasites and would not want to have arsenic in my body, the chicken litter is being used to feed the cattle, so they get the arsenic so you get it from that as well, if you have free range chicken, very hard to find by the way, even the so called free range chicken are not healthy anymore they are still in cages and again they are dead so to put something dead into my body, heat it to the point that it is detoxified it does not have the pesticides in them, does not make it any better because once you heat animal protein it coagulates that means, it is losing its three dimensional structure and in that form the body has great trouble with it because you have  two dimensional protein chains that can cause damage they can cause irritation and inflammation in the blood vessel if that protein  enters the blood which you think you would want to but in fact it is better if you do not because if you do then these proteins get integrated into the blood vessel walls they can cause inflammation that can cause bleeding and  you have blood clots that could go into the heart and cause a heart attack or a stroke and in order for the body to prevent that it will have to build cholesterol layers, build them into the blood vessel walls so that these blood clots they would not escape so it is preventive mechanism that is called cardiovascular disease.

Patrick Timpone: what was it or what time did you introduce some raw butter into your diet and do you think it is helpful as the western tribe people say some of these a little bit of animal fat is good for dental.

Andreas Moritz: very good because in order to digest carbohydrates, protein,  virtually anything, you have to have fat. You cannot digest protein with out fat you cannot digest fat if you do not have enough bile. So it is not just the food, if you are not able to digest fats because you do not produce enough bile then the fat is not going to do you any good. It can cause a lot of problems. If you are not getting the fat then the different parts of your body cannot develop properly you need to have the fat in order to stimulate digestive and metabolic functions that are essentially for mashing the tissues in the body cholesterol for example is a fatty, it is a combined molecular structure between protein  and fat, fatty acids, so you need both you need to have the fat and half of the brain is composed of fat, the heart itself if largely fat cholesterol, there is virtually no part in the body that is not made of cholesterol, all hormones are made of cholesterol. So you do need the fatty component but you have to be able to digest it to make use of it otherwise you have these trans fatty acids created these faulty chains of acids which are then getting into the cell membranes and they cause severe damage and that is where you can get arthritis you can get all kinds of inflammatory responses where it seems the body is attacking itself but all the body does is attacking those damaged chains of fatty acids or fatty or protein fragments that  sit there and the body is trying to get rid of them through inflammation.

Patrick Timpone:  do you recommend to your patients that you with what your ideals are on any kind of supplementation to help heal the gut and to build like probiotics, hydrochloric acid or fermented foods, well fermented foods is not supplementation that is a food.

Andreas Moritz: that is a food.

Patrick Timpone: and lets see I would  suspect that you think that these are really good fermented foods.

Andreas Moritz: well it depends on the body type. Given if you give that fermented food to a pitha body type then he will probably get loose stools perhaps diarrhea which is not a good thing

Patrick Timpone: pitha in Ayurvedic medicine Andreas is more like hot, it could be like

Andreas Moritz: so you do not want to give too much soft food to a pitha type but you would want to give that to the vatha type because vata is more prone to constipation, the thin body type, more dryness in the body and sour foods or fermented foods will help to keep the moisture in the body and that person should also have more salt whereas the pitha type you want to cut back on slat. So it depends on who you are.

Patrick Timpone: what kind of things ongoing food wise or supplementation helps to build the inner terrain so we can really digest our food. What does that?

Andreas Moritz: well mostly it is bile.

Patrick Timpone: bile

Andreas Moritz: the presence of bile keeps the probiotics bacteria intact whereas the absence of bile leads to more destructive and bacteria because you have more undigested food when you have more undigested food in your gut you will require more Candida bacteria more destructive decomposing bacteria because if you do not have these bacteria you have that rotting stuff sitting there it is just not good for the body to have dead stuff sitting there for too long. Sometimes we blame these destructive bacteria for causing is so many problems but it is not true in the presence of bile you have a balanced proportion between probiotics and destructive bacteria you have to have equali (E-coil), if you do not have equali (E-coil)bacteria you can die.

Patrick Timpone: so this bile flow that is why the gall bladder flushes are so critical the bile flow in the inner terrain helps everything live symbiotically

Andreas Moritz: correct, it is bodies natural laxative if you lack it then the passage of waste through your colon will slow down and that means you have a chance for proliferation of destructive bacteria that try to decompose what the body could not get rid of fast enough.

Patrick Timpone: do you think anyone listening right now whether on a podcast or live here this morning on June 16th could do well with a gall bladder flush?

Andreas Moritz: probably 99.99 percent.

Andreas Moritz: living in this country with all the chem trails and the water pollution, the additives in food and the herbicides and patricides, it is just almost impossible not to have a contaminated body

Patrick Timpone: folks get the book “THE AMAZING LIVER AND GALL BLADDER FLUSH” you lay it out there do not you and does one have to eat a particular type of diet working up to the gall bladder flush?

Andreas Moritz: well during the six days of preparation I recommend to lay low on animal protein and   fried foods and the sweets, too many sugar things, that impairs liver, that is a burden to the liver so you want to unburden the liver as much as possible because it can soften up the stone structures and by the time you do the liver flush you get the maximum benefit whereas, if you overburden the liver during the preparation then u will have less stones coming out.

Patrick Timpone: now if I remember it has been awhile since I read your book you have some options as far as and Amelia wants to know how you feel like using orthophosphoric acid for the gall bladder flush instead of the malic acid.

Andreas Moritz: yes I have seen some people benefit and other people did not some people do that and they did not get anything out so if you want to have an easier one that is a new one that I came across and that is 250 milliliters that is about a quart so a quarter quart of cherry juice that is sour tart, not the sweet one but the sour tart version. There are two different types of cherries the sour cherry and the sweet cherry. You want to have the sour tart cherry and you can find it in most grocery stores without any additives it is just it has the highest content of malic acid but it is easy to ingest and it is less amount sop 250 milliliters per day for six days  that works really well as a preparation.

Patrick Timpone: milliliter what is that tell us in ounces what that would be.

Andreas Moritz: yeah that would be about there is thirty two ounces to a quart right? So that would be eight ounces.

Patrick Timpone: oh just eight ounces of a good sour tart cherry juice

Andreas Moritz: yeah you can dilute it if it is too sour so it is no problem but many people like it the way it is.

Patrick Timpone: and that softens the stones so when you do the flush then you they will come out easier the stone.

Andreas Moritz: right

Lets go back to diet a second just off the top off your head Andreas Moritz are there some real no-no’s as far as you are concerned to when it comes to food combining, fats, sugar, carbs? What kind of things have you seen really broad stroke just do not work together?

Andreas Moritz: yea like I mentioned fat goes together with carbohydrates and with protein . you need fat to digest these. Of course provided you have enough bile to digest the fat that needs, that is needed to digest the carbohydrate. Otherwise carbohydrate will go through your gut far too quickly to be absorbed, so you may have the best carbohydrates vegetables and grain foods for example or beans and you are not going to digest them. So fat is needed to digest these.

Patrick Timpone: so a sweet potato may be, butter with a sweet potato

Andreas Moritz: yes you have to have fat with potato sweet or white potato otherwise that moves so quickly thought the system that it will ferment in your large intestine you will get a lot of gas and toxins created by the bacteria that decompose them if you eat fruits that one of the big no-nos.  do not combine it with anything else.

Patrick Timpone: anything else

Andreas Moritz: and do not eat it in the evening. It will just turn into alcohol because  the food is not digesting after seven eight o’clockish body stops digesting food at that time.

Patrick Timpone: what about eating nuts with fruits or just do it alone?

Andreas Moritz: yes nuts can bacteria taken with carbohydrates there is no problem with vegetables, grain but fruits should go separate. Leave at least half an hour before you eat something else if you have eaten fruit. Morning is a great time to eat fruits, mid afternoon is also fine but do not fruit juice is, do not drink fruit juices with your meal you would just create a mess.

Patrick Timpone: so no other real just do not

Andreas Moritz: protein, if you eat animal protein  and you combine it with carbohydrates like rice and steak for example it just does not work because you produce completely opposite types of secretion in the stomach one for to digest, the hydrochloric acid to digest to the protein and alkaline to digest the rice then these two become neutralized and you do not digest either of these foods.

Patrick Timpone: so there all steak potato thing that does not work

Andreas Moritz: no

Patrick Timpone: that does not work. Maria wants to know she said her son has had the gall bladder removed, does it do you know anything to elevate severe obstructive sleep apnea so there are two questions what are some special things you have to do if your gall bladder is removed and then sleep apnea.

Andreas Moritz: the two actually are often occurring together because if you have your gall bladder removed you have had it removed because you had a congestion in the bile duct of the liver which forms stones and that lead to also stone growth in the gall bladder so you have removed the gall bladder but you have not removed the original cause of the problem which is the bile duct congestion.

Patrick Timpone: oh lets see ok, I am catching on to the something, so the bile duct congestion I separate form the gall bladder itself.

Andreas Moritz: Yes the gall bladder is a little – little bladder that is attached to the liver and so the liver produces, the liver has thousand and thousands of bile ducts and it is like a, it is a tree and then you have two of those tress with braches and bigger branches and smaller ones and tiny ones and so the whole liver is full of that so each liver cells produces bile and pumps it into the bile ducts and then they start passing it on to the larger bile ducts and then to the bigger bile ducts and eventually there are two major bile trunks that are combining into the common bile duct which then take the bile into the gall bladder

Patrick Timpone: into the gall bladder

Andreas Moritz: yeah  and then the gall bladder removes about ninety percent of the water content making the scope of the bile very-very slick like a syrup and then that is shot down into the small intestine when your food comes into the stomach, the moment the foods comes into the stomach that is when the gall bladder squeezes its content into the small intestine so by the time the food leaves the stomach then that food can combine with the bile in order to process the digestive function. So that is why it is so very important if you do not have a gall bladder to at least get your bile ducts cleaned out so that you allow the bile to come out of the liver and to improve the digestion somewhat but to also allow the bile to take toxins out of the liver which the liver removes form there blood stream because at the moment what you are doing is the toxins remain in there liver and they are backwashed into the blood and from there goes into the lymphatic system and it will be dumped into the tissues and so when you have the lymph drainage problem that you have that you will eventually have sleep apnea because you have a lot of congestion in the abdomen so that is why your abdomen is enlarged and its puts pressure into the thoracic duct and the thoracic duct does not drain form the throat and the neck area that is why there is so much pressure building all the way up to the throat so when you sleep you cannot breathe properly it is just too much pressure

Patrick Timpone: so it goes all the way back to the liver, I cannot believe that I got one, two, three, four people that had their gall bladder removed Douglas wow is it that

Andreas Moritz: common

Patrick Timpone: must be common

Andreas Moritz: twenty million a year

Patrick Timpone: how many?

Andreas Moritz: twenty million

Patrick Timpone: so the strategy though if the gall bladder was removed for stones or an infection the issue was the bile ducts in the liver were obstructed. So they can still do the liver gall bladder flush without the gall bladder

Andreas Moritz: yea absolutely and they will be surprised because I get so many people who have their gall bladders removed and they complain about the same trouble.

Patrick Timpone: yeah and they say what is the mater it is not in there. So what strategy eating with does do people to follow without a gall bladder is it can you still eat fat?

Andreas Moritz: the problem is that there is only a trickle of bile like one drop at a time coming out of the liver

Patrick Timpone: oh my goodness

Andreas Moritz: and that means you do not have a concentrated source of bile of concentrated bile to combine the fat to digest it so that is why they will have a lot of problems with a lot of foods because as I mentioned you need to have fats to digest proteins and carbohydrate all fats to digest protein  and you need to digest carbohydrate but for them eating animal protein is like a big no-no. if you do that you will develop a lot of other problems you get joint problems lot of uric acid like gouts like symptoms, arthritis, cardiovascular problems, blood pressure problems, kidney problems so it is better not to eat the protein  which you do not need anyway, I am living proof, I have not eaten protein  for forty years

Patrick Timpone: animal protein

Andreas Moritz: yeah animal protein and I do not eat consciously any protein  foods.

Patrick Timpone: so without the gall bladder it would better served being a vegetarian.

Andreas Moritz: that is right definitely. But then you might take a bile supplement and that is the only case where I would recommend take a some the only one that only works is ox bile to make sure you do not overdose on it because if you do you get diarrheas so only take as much as you do not get loose stools.

Patrick Timpone: is that standard process?

Andreas Moritz: that is standard process, every doctor should tell their patients afterwards that most doctors do not.

Patrick Timpone: ox bile

Andreas Moritz: yeah

Patrick Timpone: ok so that will be good that will help it produce bile for the non gall bladder people

Andreas Moritz: right

Patrick Timpone: this idea that fats are need for protein is fascinating id there a difference that the body is lets say gets coconut oil or flax oil or olive oil or maybe fat form maybe butter or cream is there any advantage to either or do they both works?

Andreas Moritz: they work in different ways like palm oil or coconut oil does not, it is a carbohydrate either way

Patrick Timpone: it is a carbohydrate

Andreas Moritz: yeah but that is why

Patrick Timpone: I though it is fat

Andreas Moritz: oh it is fatty but it is different, it does not require bile that is why people who have no gall bladder coconut oil or palm oil is one of there best oil.

Patrick Timpone: interesting

Andreas Moritz: and it still helps with the digestion of the food but it goes straight to the liver in its complete form and the liver breaks it down and actually makes glucose from it so you can actually feed the cells with it. so it is different than these other oils like olive oil or butter, you need to have bile to digest them

Patrick Timpone: I see

Andreas Moritz: so I would take all of them, I mean, I eat olive oil and coconut oil and butter these are my main sources, I love olive oil.

Patrick Timpone: yeah how about chea oil I have seen that is there a valuable thing to look at.

Andreas Moritz: I would take chea seeds

Patrick Timpone: not the oil

Andreas Moritz: and grind them, because there is so many wonderful things in the you do not want to miss out on that chea seed is one of the most greatest super foods on the planet

Patrick Timpone: really?

Andreas Moritz: yeah it is just so full of minerals and vitamins and complete protein  so if you are after proteins that many people in the Astic or in the Incas they used to just live off chea seeds if they did not have anything else and they were perfect

Patrick Timpone: my god

Andreas Moritz: they had no deficiencies

Patrick Timpone: I have not messed with them much Andreas what do you, I think you soak them, how do you eat them?

Andreas Moritz: you soak them if lets say if you have a cereal you soak it with the cereal or you soak them in water and then or you can grind them and then add them to your food you can out them over salads or over vegetables and it is a great addition it becomes, sort of swells if you put soak it in water and then it becomes even more tasty.

Patrick Timpone: lindy wants to know Patrick has had a guest on in the past that suggested sugar and protein is not good idea does Andreas agree?

Andreas Moritz: I agree that sugar is not a good idea full stop. There is more and more research coming through that sugar as a refined sugar, processed sugar causes probably more illness than the other food

Patrick Timpone: sure

Andreas Moritz: there is just not a single illness that is not related to sugar consumption

Patrick Timpone: do you think that would hold true even for raw honey. Raw honey and milk

Andreas Moritz: no raw honey is actually quite beneficial and it does not go through the stomach wall into the blood stream right away it is digested differently so I do have a teaspoon of raw honey in my water, warm water, in the morning with juice of two slices of lemon or lime and that cleanses and rinses the digestive track that is a good practice for anyone.

Patrick Timpone: do you think apple cider vinegar is a reasonable thing to take?

Andreas Moritz: some people cannot do it some pitha types have some difficulties, vata definitely benefit form it so they love vinegar, it is very good for them pitha types have difficulties with vinegar so it depends on the person

I used to have very strong nails seems like in the last ten years the nails have been changing with ridges starting with my little finger and there is an ayurvedic diagnosis to that isn’t there?

Andreas Moritz: yes . it basically mean that there is absorption difficulties of certain minerals and foods so when the digestion is not working well then the food is not absorbed properly when there are absorption problem you will get ridges in your finger nails that means there are certain things missing that do not go to the nails anymore because of the digestive issue.

Patrick Timpone: so it is not necessarily how many minerals you take in but what you are absorbing

Andreas Moritz: exactly. And  again bile is needed to digest calcium and magnesium and zinc and all those minerals and many vitamins require bile, the presence of bile, to digest them and absorb them so if there are any deficiencies in the level of the hair or the nails then that shows the digestive the small intestine particularly not working as efficiently.

They just wanted to hear us breathe 888-663-63-86 here is an email form James,  Dr. Simoncini cancer is a fungus, what does Andreas think about this concept?

Andreas Moritz: well there is fungus in every cancer, it is not that the fungus is actually causing the cancer, the fungus is there to actually get to the point of decomposing when the stage has been reached where decomposition or breaking down the tumor is feasible and necessary so you will always find in every cancer cell you find fungus, you find Candida bacteria and you find TB bacteria or similar bacteria that ahs a great capability of decomposing the cell when the saturation of these micro organisms have been reached so I am, yeah I understand the theory behind it and giving the alkaline substance to the tissues so that the cancer would break down but my approach to cancer is not to target the cancer per say to try to destroy it, you can do that, as long as you dealing with the root causes of the cancer you can also clear up the symptoms of the cancer but not without dealing with the root causes. The fungus is not the enemy, it is not the cause of the cancer just like a fungus on the surface of an apple that has fallen form the trees and sits there long enough and the bacteria’s have done their job in helping to decompose much of it once they are all dead apple cells and the fungus will be there and the same thing you find cancer cells there are lots of damaged cells there that are have not received enough oxygen and a lot of dead cells as well there so you can expect fungus to be present in any cancer any tumor.

Patrick Timpone: a lot of folks have trouble even doing brown rice with Candida and they, it feeds it, and but you do not seems to have a problem. You do brown rice. What is going on here?

Andreas Moritz: again if the digestive, that why it goes back to the liver, if the food is not digested well you will get Candida issues which can spread to all over the body you can get into the skin it can get into the as far as the skin that means anything in between the skin and the digestive system so Candida bacteria and fungus, Candida fungal illnesses they are related to, they are starting in the gut and that is where we should take them back to. Where do we breed them in the first place. Instead of blaming them or vilifying them it is good to ask the question what else do I do in my life that requires the help of these things? why do I not digest the rice? not just blaming the rice or the type of food that you eat necessarily but why do not I digest it? and why if it is them causing me so many problems because undigested food is the biggest problem that is the source of contamination in the body.

Patrick Timpone: it appears as if so many Americans even the people that really are natural food kind of people like you and I still have low hydrochloric acid certainly evident in the mainstream with everybody taking  these acid blockers when they have no acid, how does that combine with the bile flow? Is it all back to the bile flow Andreas Moritz and will that build the hydrochloric acid?

Andreas Moritz: the things is that your body if you are not capable of producing enough bile your body is signaling the liver actually is a speaking organ and it produces many hormones so there is a lot of exchanges between the liver and the rest of the gastrointestinal track all the way up to your salivary glands and of course the brain is computing all of that now when you are not having enough bile coming out of your liver then it is very important  that you do not over produce on hydrochloric acid so you actually produce less hydrochloric acid because it could be extremely damaging when you have not enough bile but you have the regular amount of hydrochloric acid what is happening is that you have the acid food content travelling down that is not neutralized by the bile and the pancreatic juices which are alkaline so now you have acid, hydrochloric acid, moving down through you small intestine and guess what this is going to erode, this can cause erosion problems in the wall of your intestines and you do not want that you do not want to have perforations occurring

Patrick Timpone: yeah

Andreas Moritz: so the body does everything what we call disease is actually protective mechanism and we have to instead of looking at just the stomach oh my god my stomach does not make enough hydrochloric acid, this is giving me a problem because these people will complain about heart burn you know what heart burn is?

Patrick Timpone: not enough actually

Andreas Moritz: stomach content, hydrochloric acid, moving through the center of the esophagus into the esophagus and it comes up into your mouth and then you say oh my god I am feeling this burning sensation in the middle of my chest why does that happen is because you have too little hydrochloric acid

Patrick Timpone: too little

Andreas Moritz: because when you have too little hydrochloric acid, the center of the esophagus no longer closes it only closes when you have enough hydrochloric acid in your stomach o many people are saying well I have heart burn I need to have a drug that neutralizes the acid in the stomach and that means they make even less hydrochloric acid and after a while the stomach it becomes lazy, it just the stomach cells that produce hydrochloric acid they become damaged because of the erosion that comes with these anti acids and so then after a while you have a permanent situation of acid reflux unless you keep taking these drugs all the time.

Patrick Timpone: do you ever advocate taking hydrochloric acid?

Andreas Moritz: I personally do not recommend it because if you, the bile, if you make enough bile and you eat your food slowly, now a lot of people eat their food very fast right

Patrick Timpone: right

Andreas Moritz: so them they miss out on the salivary enzymes which are suppose to take care of digesting eighty percent of the carbohydrates that the eat so when you eat it too quickly or when you drink juices without swishing them around in your mouth and mixing them slowly with these salivary enzymes, you will not be able to digest these food in the stomach or thereafter

Patrick Timpone: so,

Andreas Moritz: mastication is probably the most important  thing that you do.

Patrick Timpone: yeah

Andreas Moritz: when you eat food

Patrick Timpone: here is a fifty there year old woman she says what is the meaning the tip of my tongue gets a burning sensation on my lips? I have had my gall bladder removed a year ago. Burning sensation with her lips and tongue, any ideas what that could be?

Andreas Moritz: yes, basically this is exactly what we have been talking about. Not enough bile and the stomach acid is not neutralized properly the tip of the tongue that area relates to the stomach so there are stomach issues. Definitely. And I used to have that a lot and before I cleaned out my liver and then it disappeared and I never had it again. A lot of people have tongue ulcers as well and when you look at the tongue it I like a mirror for the organs and system in the body. Every organ is represented on the tongue.

Patrick Timpone: many people are plagued with canker sores like in the inside of the cheek or such especially if they bite it. what is going on there?

Andreas Moritz: well it is basically ulceration in different segments or parts of the gastrointestinal track do since every thing form the mouth to the anus which constitutes the eliminatory track, digestion begins in the myth so that is the first part do the digestive system if you have any parts lets say in the colon where there is an irritation, chronic irritation because of a stricture or an inflammatory process diverticulosis where there are pockets of waster matter press into the near the wall of the colon and they sit there because there is just constipation or congestion in the colon, then, you may have a similar situation showing up on the tongue or in the mouth in different parts of the mouth that connect or correspond to that part of the intestine for example the entire lower lip is connected to the large intestine, the upper lip is connected to the stomach and so any sensation in the corners like many people have splitting or they have ulcerations in the corner of the mouth that is duodenal ulcer so there is ulceration or inflammation in the duodenum in the first section of the small intestine.

Patrick Timpone: and this all stems back to bile flow.

Andreas Moritz: bile flow is just like that substance that does everything in the body it is just like universal remedy it is the panacea for digestive problems, for keeping the bacteria population intact, for removing toxins because bile is the vehicle it is the transport mechanism for the liver for getting rid of toxins and waste product and noxious substances the liver is the filter of the blood. The kidneys are only taking excessive plasma out of the blood and the liver is detoxifying the blood, it is making sure that the blood is neat and clean.

Patrick Timpone: lets go back to traditional societies do we have any way of knowing where there was there mechanism for cleaning the, flushing the liver gall bladder or

Andreas Moritz: yeah.

Patrick Timpone: with just natural foods did you not need to do it?

Andreas Moritz: well in those days you  did not have artificial synthetic vitamins, hormones, synthetic everything. And now we have like forty thousand different kinds of food most of them are factory made we have herbicide, pesticides, chem trails dropping poisons on us, there is just pollution everywhere so now our livers are far more over taxed than anytime in human history but you go back to the ancient Greeks, to the Egyptians and the ancient Indians, India, you will find that they had the remedies for cleaning out the liver which used oil and lemon juice

Patrick Timpone: oh really

Andreas Moritz: juice so it is not an new thing and it is something that existed. When I lived in cypress for fifteen years in the Greek part of cypress and I visited Greek villages and I asked their grandmothers what do you do when your grandchildren get sick? Oh we give them olive oil and lemon juice.

Patrick Timpone: really!

Andreas Moritz: and  then they have these green things coming out of them and so I said and then what happens? Well they are healthy again, they do not need anything for another year but we do that with them when they get sick and we know that they need to clean out and that is what they know they did not know how  and  why

Patrick Timpone: my god

Andreas Moritz: they just knew through observation that this works.

Patrick Timpone: so then do you feel with the protocol with your book “THE AMAZING LIVER AND GALL BLADDER FLUSH” with the Epsom salts and malic acid, these are just extra added attractions to leverage this protocol to make it more powerful

Andreas Moritz: yes and because we have far more toxins we need a sort of stronger protocol we are not just once a year and then our liver are so contaminated it is like the filter is getting dirty faster because of the high pollution then it used to be hundred years ago when there was very little.

Patrick Timpone: how often do you do, you do still do it today.

Andreas Moritz: I do it once a year, I no longer pass any stones in the last twelve, thirteen, fourteen year because my diet and lifestyle is such that I do not get the gall stone too much.

Patrick Timpone: so then, you feel then, regardless to what you are exposed in the air and such your liver is in a state that it can deal with it.

Andreas Moritz: oh yes now that liver because it is clean it can deal with whatever comes through  it but  my I had bile duct congestion when I was six years old

Patrick Timpone: my god

Andreas Moritz: so I has stones when I was that age that is why my health declined so rapidly and by age twelve I was literally not even able to live

Patrick Timpone: is there facial diagnosis or things that we can look at juts to see for fun it we need to have a liver gall bladder flush and ayurvedic does a lot of

Andreas Moritz: there is a  chapter in the book that shows the marks and the indicators for gall stones presence in the liver bile ducts

Patrick Timpone: really! You can actually see it on the face

Andreas Moritz: yes, there are marks, there are lines like if you have vertical lines that run between your eyebrows then that is a typical telltale sign, discoloration under the eyes like dark green under the eyes that shows it, just a grayish color the facial color or reddening in the chest or in the face that shows it then there are so called liver spots  guess why, they call them liver spots!

Patrick Timpone: yeah

Andreas Moritz: on the back of their hands and some on the face if there are big ones that shows the gall bladder has stones, so yeah, there are many different signs and just almost every kind of health condition can be related back to bile duct congestion

Patrick Timpone: and how long to wait in between flushes if somebody wants to

Andreas Moritz: three to four weeks

Patrick Timpone: three to four weeks and then do another one

Andreas Moritz: yeah

Patrick Timpone: and you do recommend doing a colonic a couple days after correct?

Andreas Moritz: yeas within three days after and not later than that or colema which is a like a home colonic you can do It yourself there is some information ion my website but yeah definitely because there are always some stones that get caught in the colon and you want to make sure that they all come out and they are flushed out with the water with this procedure

Patrick Timpone: I remember a few years ago I think we talked on the air and I did a liver gall bladder flush and I did not do the colonic and lot of stones came out and boy I felt terrible Andreas I just like the next week I just felt like a truck hit me

Andreas Moritz:  well you do not want to keep them inside.

Patrick Timpone: and why do not they all get out they just kind of get stuck there

Andreas Moritz: well they are irritating so they can cause parts of the colon to tighten and to become contracted and so that can hold them up and then they decompose and then they leave the toxins in the colon and those toxins get reabsorbed, so it does not make any sense to get them out of the liver just to keep them in the colon.

Patrick Timpone: so now just to be clear then these stones are coming out of the ducts in the gall bladder and in the liver right?

Andreas Moritz: yes out of the gall bladder and the bile ducts in the liver

Patrick Timpone: I see

Andreas Moritz: but mostly from the bile ducts of the liver. There are called cholesterol stones. They are now like rocks that you can throw at someone you cannot hurt someone with throwing these green cholesterol stones at some one,  they are soft putty like they decompose when you put them in the air or in warmth or heat because they are ninety percent cholesterol so most of it is just fat but it is hardened fat, it is bile components that are normally liquid but they become so deprived of water that they become really hard like waxy and they become obstructive so they can go into the pancreatic duct even and cause pancreatitis which is the commonest cause of pancreatitis. So you do want to clear them out. Many people do not and then they have gall stone attacks or pancreatitis or diabetes which can be caused by these stones entering the pancreatic duct.

Patrick Timpone: well Andreas Moritz you are a real inspiration to us all I am going to grab my book off the shelf and thing I am going to do one. I haven’t done one for a while liver and gall bladder flush. So you are working on three new books?

Andreas Moritz: yes

Is Wheat Grass or Juicing Good for Detoxification ?

 Is wheat grass or juicing good for detoxification ?

This question relates to wheat grass and juicing and this is a question I get very often whether I support wheat grass juicing, wheat grass or other juices and I am always very cautious, I personally do not use wheat grass or juice any juices, I use food as my source of nourishment and cleansing, purification.

Obviously there is an advantage sometime when the body is very toxic, to use juices to cleanse the body, but there is a limit as to how much you can accomplish when you use juices to cleanse the body.

Typically I ask people to think about cleansing the liver during the liver and gallbladder flush, to cleanse the liver bile duct to remove any impediments, stones, so the body can detoxify itself on a regular and effective basis. And I also recommend keeping the colon clean which is one of the ways to keep the rest of the body clean. If the colon is congested and there is strictures or holdups then waste matter that is passing into the intestines will back up and will partly be reabsorbed and it can go into the blood and into the lymph and it can accumulate toxins elsewhere in the tissues of the organs and systems.

So, once again keeping the organs of elimination clean and healthy, that includes the kidneys of course, which help to get rid of excessive plasma of the blood, that also eliminates uric acid, urea, another metabolic waste product that we should get rid of every single day otherwise they will start backing up and once they are backing up they can cause injuries to the body like uric acid, that is not completely eliminated, can pool around joints it can cause gout, it can also damage blood vessel walls which them can become inflamed and when they are inflamed the body uses cholesterol to patch them up, that helps to prevent blood clots from escaping into the blood. So the body is always very vigilant in this way to make sure that no heart attack or stroke can occur.

But, in effect, you are using wheat grass and juicing that can temporarily sort of undo the burden of toxins that may have accumulated in the body but, I personally prefer making sure that the organs of elimination are cleansed out,  there is a kidney cleanse tea that I recommend in my book the “THE AMAZING LIVER AND GALLBLADDER FLUSH” and that helps to break down uric acid crystals, stones of all kinds in the kidneys, the liver flush gets rid of the stones that are in the bile ducts, sometime hundreds and thousands of stones  that impede the bile flow and bile is the transportation substance that removes toxins from the liver, which takes these toxins, noxious substances out of the blood stream. So your colon gets much of all of that and it needs to get rid of waste that comes out via the bile and of course the undigested foods, the fiber in the foods, all of that has to be removed. When you have wheat grass it does have a blood cleansing effect, it has a intestinal cleansing effect, and also helps to some extent with the kidneys.  So if you do that for short term I have no objection to that but, if you do it in the long term there are side effects that you may develop from drinking a lot of it, and those side effects are related to the toxins that are in themselves contained in such things like wheat grass.

Wheat grass is the first plant growth from the seeds of wheat and so, wheat grass in that stage… when it is harvested for juicing… contains a huge amount of antibodies, plant antibodies and these antibodies are very toxic and they need to be toxic because that is how the wheat is protecting itself against predators like insects eating up the wheat grass. So in order to develop wheat, the wheat grass wants to survive, which is a natural drive of nature.

But when you juice that and you ingest all those antibodies which are part of the wheat grass immune system then eventually you may get a lot of irritation. Initially irritation is good for you because it will stimulate the intestines to get rid of waste matter. So it has a cleansing effect and the body reacts to the antibodies by producing antibodies itself, it considers these plant antibodies to be antigens. So you do not however want to make the body to make too many antibodies because when you do that, you can create inflammation, you have an inflammatory response, the immune system can get tired constantly having to defend itself against these highly… high concentration of plant antibodies or plant toxins. So that is when the situation can have a counter effect.

And one has to sort of observe oneself when you are… when it does not feel good anymore by taking the wheat grass or you simply go by the taste, do not mask the taste, do not put other things that are sweet in the wheat grass because then, the taste buds will no longer will be able to tell you when you have a saturation of those antibodies in you system. And typically when you just drink the wheat grass juice, you soon find I cannot drink that any more, it is too much, it is bothering me, I do not like the taste anymore, because there can be bitter substances in the wheat grass that your taste buds… that are recognizing bitter taste, that means usually poisons, poisons are bitter… that the body signals to the brain, hey, I do not want this anymore, and you definitely do not want to mix it with other sweet juices therefore… so if you take it, take it plain and see where it takes you and be vigilant, make sure that you do not overdo it and if you do it sometimes there is no problem but if it is everyday, you may have a strong reaction in the body’s immune system which is not desirable.

Now this applies to other juices as well. When you juice, you basically extract the cellular juice content and you are leaving behind the other substances that are in the cell membranes of those plant foods, and when you do that you are missing out on neutralizing agents for example, you get a  lot of vitamins that are free floating when you juice your foods and there are natural antidotes to the toxins that are contained in vitamins. Vitamins are naturally toxic, so that is why they are called antioxidants, so they can destroy things, they can be very irritating and they should not be allowed to enter the body in an isolated fashion but they should be combined with the natural ingredients that keep the toxicity of vitamins at a minimum or very low, and they are contained in the whole fruit. So if you eat a fruit, like in an apple or a grape or a banana, obviously juicing banana is not as easy but anything that has like high liquid content, vegetables or once again wheat grass, there are natural antidotes to the toxins contained in the grass and if you do not want to eat the whole grass, it will be better than the juicing of the grass but obviously we are not meant to be grass eaters or cows, so it would be better to eat the foods, that instead of juicing the foods, to actually eat them.

Another consideration is that when you drink juices, you are not secreting the appropriate or needed required amount of salivary enzymes that is very necessary in order to digest the carbohydrates, particularly the sugars, contained in these juices. So by drinking juices as if it were water, without moving it around, swishing it around in the mouth, you are not going to digest most of these sugars contained in the juice that will require that your body’s generating or allowing the generation, proliferation of the Candida bacteria which can lead to a proliferation of Candida which can then spread to other parts of the body.

So it is good to be cautious about drinking too many juices and if you do make sure you swish it around many times before you swallow the juice. That is basically the idea that I would want to convey to you with regards to drinking juices or juicing.

This is a question from Sonia and she is asking whether it is ok to do liver flushes if you have severe candidiasis

Candida overgrowth is usually precipitated by the absence of bile. If there is not enough bile running through the gastro-intestinal tract then, this leads to the proliferation of Candida bacteria. Candida yeast growth is very high in people who have a lot of stones inhibiting the bile secretion from the liver and I can only recommend that you do a series of liver flushes until all the stones are gone to help improve the issue with Candida overgrowth.

Once again when there is bile present, enough bile present, in the small and large intestine, that is when bacteria that are of the destructive kind, the fermenting kind, retreat to a population size that is adequate for the body. We do not want to root out Candida bacteria for they are essential for our health and they are partly helping with our immunity and so, you do not want to get rid of them, you do not want to kill them or destroy them to a level where they have diminished all together. And to be honest, it is virtually impossible unless of course if you fly in outer space where all bacteria die off.

So, I would suggest that do the liver flushes but make sure to also follow a diet and lifestyle that is very conducive to digesting your food properly without creating the need for fermenting bacteria to finish off the job that your digestive system has not been able to complete. In other words, make sure you eat your biggest meal of the day at the time when you can digest it best and that would be at midday when the sun is at the highest position.

We know that the very powerful hormone, serotonin, which is produced largely in the intestinal track, eight-five percent of it is made in the intestines and only ten percent or so is made in the brain and the rest of it is made in the blood, that really means that, the  serotonin which is very high during midday when the sun is at the highest position, that is when your digestive abilities are also the strongest, that means you have the maximum secretion of bile and digestive enzymes, pancreatic juices available, hydrochloric acid as well, available to digest your food successfully… which means that you have less waste to dispose of. When there is too much waste… indigestible food sitting there… then you are literally inviting a host of different destructive bacteria that will then finish off the job that you could not do. So there is a obviously the matter of eating heavy meals in the evening, late in the evening as well, which leaves a large portion of the food undigested which then becomes subject to decomposition. So you want to avoid that.

Do not eat your evening meal later than six thirty or seven pm, so that you have very little undigested food sitting there during the night time, while you sleep, when the processing is very, very limited of those foods or waste products… So, as well, you want to have a light evening meal like vegetable soup and perhaps some bread and butter on it, so nothing heavy, solid, consisting of a lot of proteins which can again lead to proliferation of Candida bacteria. Even though protein is not sugar and we know that sugar can lead to an increase of yeast growth, but when you have any kind of undigested food sitting in the intestines, it creates a terrain of high acidity, when other foods enter that part of the intestines they decompose very quickly so, they are not digested properly in such an acidic environment.

So you want to avoid eating foods that are high in protein content because they are harder to digest, if you eat a steak, for example, at lunch time, it can digest only up to twenty percent of that, so that leaves about eighty percent of of it undigested which can change the terrain in the intestine from alkaline to acidic. Also when you eat the same steak, let’s say, in the evening, you do not even digest two or three percent of it so it becomes progressively worse the later in the day you eat such heavy foods.

So there are a lot of things you can do to minimize the occurrence of Candida overgrowth, but, cleaning out the liver bile ducts is definitely one of the best things you can do, so that you have a steady flow of bile which is the body’s natural laxative and the body’s natural inhibitor of Candida overgrowth.

High Cholesterol

Cholesterol is an essential building block of every cell in the body, required for all metabolic processes. It is particularly important in the production of nerve tissue, bile and certain hormones. On average, our body produces about half of a gram to one gram of cholesterol per day, depending on how much of it the body needs at the time. By and large, our body is able to produce 400 times more cholesterol per day than what we would obtain from eating 3.5 ounces (100 grams) of butter. The main cholesterol producers are the liver and the small intestine, in that order. Normally, they are able to release cholesterol directly into the blood stream, where it is instantly tied to blood proteins. These proteins, which are called lipoproteins, are in charge of transporting the cholesterol to its numerous destinations. There are three main types of lipoproteins in charge of transporting cholesterol: Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL), Very Low Density Lipoprotein (VLDL), and High Density Lipoprotein (HDL).

In comparison to HDL, which has been privileged with the name ‘good’ cholesterol, LDL and VLDL are relatively large cholesterol molecules; in fact, they are the richest in cholesterol. There is good reason for their large size. Unlike their smaller cousin, which easily passes through blood vessel walls, the LDL and VLDL versions of cholesterol are meant to take a different pathway; they leave the blood stream in the liver.

The blood vessels supplying the liver have a very different structure from the ones supplying other parts of the body. They are known as sinusoids. Their unique, grid-like structure permits the liver cells to receive the entire blood content, including the large cholesterol molecules. The liver cells rebuild the cholesterol and excrete it along with bile into the intestines. Once the cholesterol enters the intestines, it combines with fats, is absorbed by the lymph and enters the blood, in that order. Gallstones in the bile ducts of the liver inhibit the bile flow and partially, or even fully, block the cholesterol’s escape route. Due to back-up pressure on the liver cells, bile production drops. Typically, a healthy liver produces over a quart of bile per day. When the major bile ducts are blocked, barely a cup of bile, or even less, will find its way to the intestines. This prevents much of the VLDL and LDL cholesterol from being excreted with the bile.

Gallstones in the liver bile ducts distort the structural framework of the liver lobules, which damages and congests the sinusoids. Deposits of excessive protein also close the grid holes of these blood vessels (see the discussion of this subject in the section on Coronary Heart Disease). Whereas the ‘good’ cholesterol, HDL, has small enough molecules to leave the bloodstream through ordinary capillaries, the larger LDL and VLDL molecules are more or less trapped in the blood. The result is that LDL and VLDL concentrations begin to rise in the blood to levels that seem potentially harmful to the body. Yet even this scenario is merely part of the body’s survival attempts. It needs the extra cholesterol to patch up the increasing number of cracks and wounds that are formed as a result of the accumulation of excessive protein in the blood vessel walls. Eventually, though, the life-saving cholesterol begins to occlude the blood vessels and cut off the oxygen supply to the heart.

In addition to this complication, reduced bile flow impairs the digestion of food, particularly fats. Therefore, there is not enough cholesterol made available to the cells of the body and their basic metabolic processes. Since the liver cells no longer receive sufficient amounts of LDL and VLDL molecules, they (the liver cells) assume that the blood is deficient in these types of cholesterol. This stimulates the liver cells to increase the production of cholesterol, further raising the levels of LDL and VLDL cholesterol in the blood.

The ‘bad’ cholesterol is trapped in the circulatory system because its escape routes, the bile ducts and the liver sinusoids, are blocked or damaged. The capillary network and arteries attach as much of the ‘bad’ cholesterol to their walls as they possibly can. Consequently, the arteries become rigid and hard.

Coronary heart disease, regardless of whether it is caused by smoking, drinking excessive amounts of alcohol, overeating protein foods, stress, or any other factor, usually does not occur unless gallstones have impacted the bile ducts of the liver. Removing gallstones from the liver and gallbladder can not only prevent a heart attack or stroke, but also reverse coronary heart disease and heart muscle damage. The body’s response to stressful situations becomes less damaging, and cholesterol levels begin to normalize as the distorted and damaged liver lobules are regenerated. Cholesterol-lowering drugs don’t do that. They artificially reduce blood cholesterol, which coerces the liver to produce even more cholesterol. But when extra cholesterol is passed into the bile ducts, it remains in its crystalline state (versus soluble state) and, in so doing, turns into gallstones. People who regularly use cholesterol-lowering drugs usually develop an excessively large number of gallstones. This sets them up for major side effects, including cancer and heart disease.

Cholesterol is essential for normal functioning of the immune system, particularly for the body’s response to the millions of cancer cells that every person makes in his body each day. For all the health problems associated with cholesterol, this important substance is not something we should try to eliminate from our bodies. Cholesterol does far more good than harm. The harm is generally symptomatic of other problems. I wish to emphasize, once again, that ‘bad’ cholesterol only attaches itself to the walls of arteries to avert immediate heart trouble, not to create it.

This is confirmed by the fact that cholesterol never attaches itself to the walls of veins. When a doctor tests your cholesterol levels, he takes the blood sample from a vein, not from an artery. Although blood flow is much slower in veins than in arteries, cholesterol should obstruct veins much more readily than arteries, but it never does. There simply is no need for that. Why? Because there are no abrasions and tears in the lining of the vein that require patching up. Cholesterol only affixes itself to arteries in order to coat and cover up the abrasions and protect the underlying tissue like a waterproof bandage. Veins do not absorb proteins in their basement membranes like capillaries and arteries do and, therefore, are not prone to this type of injury.

Bad‘ cholesterol saves lives; it does not take lives. LDL allows the blood to flow through injured blood vessels without causing a life-endangering situation. The theory of high LDL being a principal cause of coronary heart disease is not only unproved and unscientific. It has also misled the population to believe that cholesterol is an enemy that has to be fought and destroyed at all costs. Human studies have not shown a cause-and-effect relationship between cholesterol and heart disease. The hundreds of studies so far conducted on such a relationship have only shown that there is a statistical correlation between the two. And there should be, because if there were no ‘bad’ cholesterol molecules attaching themselves to injured arteries, then we would have millions of more deaths from heart attack than we already have. On the other hand, dozens of conclusive studies have shown that risk of heart disease increases significantly in people whose HDL levels decrease. Elevated LDL cholesterol is not a cause of heart disease; rather, it is a consequence of an unbalanced liver and congested, dehydrated circulatory system.

If your doctor has told you that lowering your cholesterol with medical drugs protects you against heart attacks, you have been grossly misled. The #1 prescribed cholesterol-lowering medicine is Lipitor. I suggest that you read the following warning statement, issued on the official Lipitor website:

“LIPITOR (atorvastatin calcium) tablets is a prescription drug used with diet to lower cholesterol. LIPITOR is not for everyone, including those with liver disease or possible liver problems, and women who are nursing, pregnant, or may become pregnant. LIPITOR has not been shown to prevent heart disease or heart attacks.

“If you take LIPITOR, tell your doctor about any unusual muscle pain or weakness. This could be a sign of serious side effects. It is important to tell your doctor about any medications you are currently taking to avoid possible serious drug interactions.”

My question is, “Why risk a person’s health or life by giving him/her a drug that has no effect, whatsoever, in preventing the problem for which it is being prescribed?” The reason why the lowering of cholesterol levels cannot prevent heart disease is because cholesterol does not cause heart disease.

The most important issue is how efficiently a person’s body uses cholesterol and other fats. The body’s ability to digest, process and utilize these fats depends on how clear and unobstructed the bile ducts of the liver are. When bile flow is unrestricted and balanced, both the LDL and HDL levels are balanced as well. Therefore, keeping the bile ducts open is the best prevention of coronary heart disease.

Disorders of the Intestines

The small intestine is continuous with the stomach at the pyloric sphincter and has a length of 16-19 feet (5-6 meters). It leads into the large intestine, which is about 3.5-5 feet (1-1.5 meters) long. The small intestine secretes intestinal juice to complete digestion of carbohydrates, protein and fats. It also absorbs nutrient materials necessary for nourishing and maintaining the body, and protects it against infection by microbes that have survived the anti-microbial action of hydrochloric acid in the stomach.

When acid food (chyme) from the stomach enters the duodenum, it is first mixed with bile and pancreatic juice, and then with intestinal juice. Gallstones in the liver and gallbladder drastically reduce secretion of bile, which weakens the ability of pancreatic enzymes to digest carbohydrates, protein and fat. This, in turn, restrains the small intestine from properly absorbing the nutrient components of these foods (e.g., monosaccharides from carbohydrates, amino acids from protein, and fatty acids and glycerol from fats).

Since the presence of bile in the intestines is essential for the absorption of fats, calcium and Vitamin K, gallstones can lead to life-threatening diseases, such as heart disease, osteoporosis and cancer. The liver uses the fat-soluble Vitamin K to produce the compounds responsible for the clotting of blood. In case of poor Vitamin K absorption, hemorrhagic disease may result. This vitamin cannot be adequately absorbed if there is any problem with fat digestion, due to lack of bile, pancreatic lipase and a certain amount of pancreatic fat. For the latter reason, following a low-fat diet can endanger one’s life. Calcium is essential for the hardening of bone and teeth, the coagulation of blood and the mechanism of muscle contraction. What applies to Vitamin K also applies to all other fat-soluble vitamins, including Vitamin A, E and D. Vitamin A and carotene are also only absorbed sufficiently from the small intestine if fat absorption is normal. If Vitamin A absorption is inefficient, the epithelial cells become damaged. These cells form an essential part of all the organs, blood vessels, lymph vessels, etc., in the body. Vitamin A is also necessary to maintain healthy eyes and protect against or reduce microbial infection. Vitamin D is essential for calcification of bones and teeth. It may be noted at this point that supplementing these vitamins does not resolve the problem of deficiency. To sum up, without normal bile secretions, these vitamins are not digested and absorbed properly and, therefore, can cause considerable damage to the lymphatic and urinary systems.

Inadequately digested foods tend to ferment and putrefy in the small and large intestines. They attract a vast number of bacteria to help speed up the process of decomposition. The breakdown products are often very toxic and so are the chemicals produced by the bacteria. All of this strongly irritates the mucous lining, which is one of the body’s foremost defense lines against disease-causing agents. Regular exposure to these toxins impairs the body’s immune system, 60% of which is located in the intestines. Overburdened by a constant influx of toxins, the small and large intestines may be afflicted with a number of disorders, including diarrhea, constipation, abdominal gas, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticular disease, hernias, polyps, dysentery, appendicitis, volvulus, intussusceptions, as well as benign and malignant tumors.

Ample bile flow maintains good digestion and absorption of food, and has a strong cleansing action throughout the intestinal tract. Every part of the body depends on the basic nutrients made available through the digestive system, as well as the efficient removal of waste products from the digestive system. Gallstones in the liver and gallbladder considerably disrupt both of these vital processes. Therefore, they can be held accountable for most, if not all, of the different kinds of ailments that can afflict the body. Removal of gallstones helps to normalize the digestive and eliminative functions, improve cell metabolism and maintain balance throughout the body.

Disorders of the Gallbladder and Bile Ducts

The liver secretes bile, which passes via the two hepatic ducts into the common hepatic duct. The common hepatic duct runs for 1.5 inches before being joined by the cystic duct coming from the gallbladder. Before bile continues its journey through the common bile duct into the intestinal tract, it must flow into the gallbladder.

The gallbladder is a pear-shaped pouch that protrudes from the bile duct. It is attached to the posterior side of the liver (see Figure 1).

A normal gallbladder generally holds about two fluid ounces of bile. The bile in the gallbladder, however, is not in the same form as it was when it left the liver. In the gallbladder there is such a great active reabsorption of salt and water that the volume of bile is reduced to only one tenth of its original quantity. Bile salts are not absorbed, which means, their concentration is increased by about ten times. However, mucus is added to the bile, which turns it into a thick mucus-like material. Its high concentration makes bile the powerful digestive fluid it is.

The muscular walls of the gallbladder contract and eject bile when acid food and protein products enter the duodenum from the stomach. A more marked activity is noted if food entering the duodenum contains a high proportion of fat. The bile salts in the bile are used to emulsify the fat and facilitate its digestion. Once the bile salts have done their job and left the emulsified fat for intestinal absorption, they travel on down the intestine. Most of the bile salts are reabsorbed in the final section of the small intestine and carried back to the liver. There it is collected again in the bile and secreted into the duodenum. (Note: Intestinal congestion sharply reduces the amount of bile salts needed for proper bile production and fat digestion.)

Gallstones may be primarily made of cholesterol or calcium or pigments such as bilirubin. Cholesterol is the most common constitution, but many of the stones are of mixed composition. Besides cholesterol, calcium and bile pigments, they may contain bile salts, water and mucus, as well as toxins, bacteria and, sometimes, dead parasites. Typically, stones within the gallbladder grow in size for about eight years before noticeable symptoms begin to occur. Larger stones are generally calcified and can be detected easily through radiological means, or by using ultrasonography. Eighty five percent of gallstones found in the gallbladder measure about 3/4 inch (2 centimeters) across (see Figure 2a), although some can become as large as 2-3 inches (6 centimeters) across (see Figures 2b and 2c of a calcified gallstone I personally examined and photographed moments after it was painlessly released by a client during her 9th liver cleanse; the stone emitted an extremely noxious odor). They are formed when, due to reasons explained in The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush, bile in the gallbladder becomes too saturated, and its unabsorbed constituents begin to harden.

If a gallstone does slip out of the gallbladder and becomes impacted in the cystic bile duct or common bile duct, there is very strong spasmodic contraction of the wall of the duct. The contraction helps to move the stone onwards. This causes severe pain known as biliary colic and is accompanied by considerable distension of the gallbladder. If the gallbladder is packed with gallstones, it also goes into extremely painful spasmodic muscle contractions.

Gallstones can cause irritation and inflammation of the lining of the gallbladder, as well as the cystic and common bile ducts. This condition is known as cholecystitis. There may also be superimposed microbial infection. Ulceration of the tissues between the gallbladder and the duodenum or colon, with fistula formation and fibrous adhesions, is not uncommon. Gallbladder disease generally originates in the liver. When liver lobules become structurally distorted due to presence of gallstones and, eventually, fibrous tissue, venous blood pressure starts to rise in the portal vein. This, in turn, increases the blood pressure in the cystic vein that drains venous blood from the gallbladder into the portal vein. The incomplete elimination of waste products through the cystic duct causes a backup of acidic waste in the gallbladder tissue. This gradually reduces the performance of the gallbladder. The formation of gallstones is just a matter of time.

Disorders of the Pancreas

The pancreas is a small gland with its ‘head’ lying in the curve of the duodenum. Its main duct joins the common bile duct (of the liver and gallbladder) to form what is known as the ampulla of the bile duct. The ampulla enters the duodenum at its midpoint. Apart from secreting the hormones, insulin and glucagon, the pancreas produces pancreatic juice containing enzymes that digest carbohydrates, proteins and fats. When acid stomach contents enter the duodenum, they are mixed with pancreatic juice and bile. This creates the proper acid/alkali balance (pH value) at which the pancreatic enzymes are most effective (both bile and pancreatic juice are alkaline).

Gallstones in the liver or gallbladder cut down bile secretion from the normal amount of about one quart per day, to as little as one cup per day. This severely disrupts the digestive process, particularly if fats or fat-containing foods are consumed. Subsequently, the pH remains too low, which inhibits the action of pancreatic enzymes, as well as those secreted by the small intestine. The end result is that food is only partially digested. Improperly digested food that is saturated with the stomach’s hydrochloric acid can have a very irritating, toxic effect on the entire intestinal tract.

If a gallstone has moved from the gallbladder into the ampulla, where the common bile duct and the pancreatic ducts meet (see Figure 1), the release of pancreatic juice becomes obstructed and bile moves into the pancreas. This causes protein-splitting pancreatic enzymes that are normally activated only in the duodenum to be activated while in the pancreas. These enzymes begin to digest parts of the pancreatic tissue, which can lead to infection, suppuration and local thrombosis. This condition is known as pancreatitis.

Gallstones obstructing the ampulla release bacteria, viruses and toxins into the pancreas, which can cause further damage to pancreatic cells, and eventually lead to malignant tumors. The tumors occur mostly in the head of the pancreas, where they inhibit the flow of bile and pancreatic juice. This condition is often accompanied by jaundice (for more details see ‘Disorders of the Liver‘).

Gallstones in the liver, gallbladder and ampulla may also be responsible for both types of diabetes – insulin-dependent and non-insulin-dependent. All clients of mine with diagnosed diabetes, including children, have had large quantities of stones in their liver. Each liver cleanse further improved their condition, provided they followed a healthy regimen and diet void of animal products (also see The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush – ‘Excessive Protein Consumption’ in Chapter 3).
