Disorders Of The Nervous System Are Caused By Gallstones In The Liver And Gallbladder
By Andreas Moritz
Our whole lives are dictated by the way we feel. Our persona, the way we carry ourselves, our interactions with other people, our moods, cravings, patience, tolerance level, and more are strongly affected by the state of health of our nervous system. In today’s fast paced world we are exposed to a variety of conditions that wreak havoc on our bodies. The brain is the control center of the entire body and unless it receives proper nourishment, your life can be a physical and emotional mess.
Brain cells are very capable of manufacturing the quantity of chemicals they need if they are supplied with the nutrients needed to produce those chemicals. Although modern intensive agriculture has depleted most of the soil of nutrients, most nutrient deficiencies occur due to poor performance of the digestive system and, particularly, the liver. Lack of such nutrients can hinder the ability of our brain to manufacture the chemicals it needs to function optimally.
The brain can function for quite some time with substandard amounts of nutrients, but the price paid includes poor health, fatigue, lack of energy, mood swings, sickness, aches and pains, and general discomfort. Some deficiencies manifest in mental disease.
The nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, pairs of spinal and cranial nerves and autonomic functions, is largely dependent on the quality of the blood. Blood is composed of plasma, a straw-colored transparent fluid, and cells. The constituents of plasma are water, plasma proteins, mineral salts, hormones, vitamins, nutrient materials, organic waste products, antibodies and gases. There are three varieties of blood cells: white cells (leukocytes), red cells (erythrocytes) and platelets (thrombocytes). Any abnormal changes in the blood affect the nervous system.
All three blood cell types are formed in the red bone marrow, which is nourished and maintained by the nutrients supplied through the digestive system. Gallstones in the liver interfere with digestion and assimilation of food, which fills the plasma with excessive waste material and cuts down nutrient supplies to the red bone marrow. This, in turn, upsets the balance of blood cell constituents, disrupts hormonal pathways and causes abnormal responses in the nervous system. Most diseases afflicting the nervous system are rooted in improperly formed blood, brought about by a dysfunctional liver.
Each of the numerous functions of the liver has a direct influence on the nervous system, and particularly the brain. The liver cells convert glycogen (complex sugar) into glucose which, besides oxygen and water, is the major nutrient for the nervous system. Glucose provides most of its energy requirements. The brain, although it constitutes only 1/50 of the body weight, contains about 1/5 of the total blood volume in the body. It uses up vast amounts of glucose. Gallstones in the liver drastically cut down glucose supply to the brain and the rest of the nervous system, which can affect the performance of the organs, senses and mind. At the early stages of imbalance, a person may develop food cravings, particularly for sweet or starchy foods, and experience frequent mood swings or emotional stress.
The liver also forms the plasma proteins and most of the blood clotting factors from the available amino acids. This function becomes increasingly subdued by the presence of gallstones. If the production of clotting factors drops, platelet count will fall and there may be spontaneous capillary bleeding or hemorrhagic disease. If a hemorrhage occurs in the brain, it may cause destruction of brain tissue, paralysis or death. The severity of the bleeding may be determined by such triggers as hypertension and alcohol abuse. Platelet counts also drop when production of new cells does not keep pace with destruction of damaged or worn-out cells, which happens in the liver when gallstones cut off blood supply to liver cells.
Vitamin Kis also essential for synthesis of major clotting factors. It is a fat-soluble vitamin stored in the liver, and bile salts are required in the colon for absorption. Vitamin K becomes deficient when gallstones in the liver and gallbladder obstruct bile flow, which leads to inadequate fat absorption.
Gallstones in the liver can lead to disorders of the vascular system as well. When the blood changes and becomes thick, blood vessels begin to harden and become damaged. If a blood clot forms in an injured artery, a piece of blood clot (embolus) may lodge in a small artery distant to the injury and obstruct the blood flow, causing ischaemia and infarction. If the infarction occurs in a brain artery, it is called a stroke.
All circulatory disturbances affect the brain and the rest of the nervous system. The disruption of liver functions particularly affects astrocytes – cells that form the main supporting tissue of the central nervous system. This condition is characterized by apathy, disorientation, delirium, muscular rigidity and coma. Nitrogenous bacterial waste absorbed from the colon, normally detoxified by the liver, reaches the brain cells via the blood. Other metabolic waste products, such as ammonia, may reach toxic concentrations and change the permeability of the blood vessels in the brain and reduce the effectiveness of the blood-brain barrier. This may permit different noxious substances to enter the brain as well, causing further damage.
If the neurons of the brain no longer receive enough nourishment, there is atrophy of neural tissue, which leads to dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. In case the neurons, which are responsible for producing the brain hormone and neurotransmitter dopamine, suffer malnutrition, Parkinson’s disease results. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) occurs when the cells that produce myelin, a sheath of fatty material that surrounds most axons of nerve cells, suffer malnutrition. The myelin sheath diminishes and axons become injured.
The liver controls the digestion, absorption and metabolism of fatty substances throughout the body. Gallstones interfere with fat metabolism and affect cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol is an essential building block of all our body cells and is needed for every metabolic process. Our brain consists of more than 10% pure cholesterol (all water removed). Cholesterol is important for brain development and brain function. It protects the nerves against damage or injury. An imbalance of blood fats can profoundly affect the nervous system and, thereby, cause almost any type of illness in the body.
Removing gallstones from the liver and gallbladder increases nutrient supplies to all the cells, thereby rejuvenating the nervous system and improving all functions in the body.

Keeping The Liver And Gallbladder Free of Gallstones Helps Normalize Digestion And Elimination
By Andreas Moritz
The small intestine is continuous with the stomach at the pyloric sphincter and has a length of 16-19 feet (5-6 meters). It leads into the large intestine, which is about 3.5-5 feet (1-1.5 meters) long. The small intestine secretes intestinal juice to complete digestion of carbohydrates, protein and fats. It also absorbs nutrient materials necessary for nourishing and maintaining the body, and protects it against infection by microbes that have survived the anti-microbial action of hydrochloric acid in the stomach.
When acid food (chyme) from the stomach enters the duodenum, it is first mixed with bile and pancreatic juice, and then with intestinal juice. Gallstones in the liver and gallbladder drastically reduce secretion of bile, which weakens the ability of pancreatic enzymes to digest carbohydrates, protein and fat. This, in turn, restrains the small intestine from properly absorbing the nutrient components of these foods (e.g. monosaccharides from carbohydrates, amino acids from protein, and fatty acids and glycerol from fats).
Since the presence of bile in the intestines is essential for the absorption of fats, calcium and Vitamin K, gallstones can lead to life-threatening diseases, such as heart disease, osteoporosis and cancer. The liver uses the fat-soluble Vitamin K to produce the compounds responsible for the clotting of blood. In case of poor Vitamin K absorption, hemorrhagic disease may result. This vitamin cannot be adequately absorbed if there is any problem with fat digestion, due to lack of bile, pancreatic lipase and a certain amount of pancreatic fat. For the latter reason, following a low-fat diet can endanger one’s life.
Calcium is essential for the hardening of bone and teeth, the coagulation of blood and the mechanism of muscle contraction. What applies to Vitamin K also applies to all other fat-soluble vitamins, including Vitamin A, E and D. Vitamin A and carotene are also only absorbed sufficiently from the small intestine if fat absorption is normal. If Vitamin A absorption is inefficient, the epithelial cells become damaged. These cells form an essential part of all the organs, blood vessels, lymph vessels, etc. in the body. Vitamin A is also necessary to maintain healthy eyes and protect against or reduce microbial infection. Vitamin D is essential for calcification of bones and teeth. It may be noted at this point that supplementing these vitamins does not resolve the problem of deficiency.
To sum up, without normal bile secretions, these vitamins are not digested and absorbed properly and, therefore, can cause considerable damage to the lymphatic and urinary systems.
Inadequately digested foods tend to ferment and putrefy in the small and large intestines. They attract a vast number of bacteria to help speed up the process of decomposition. The breakdown products are often very toxic and so are the chemicals produced by the bacteria. All of this strongly irritates the mucous lining, which is one of the body’s foremost defense lines against disease-causing agents. Regular exposure to these toxins impairs the body’s immune system, 60% of which is located in the intestines. Overburdened by a constant influx of toxins, the small and large intestines may be afflicted with a number of disorders, including diarrhea, constipation, abdominal gas, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticular disease, hernias, polyps, dysentery, appendicitis, volvulus, intussusceptions, as well as benign and malignant tumors.
Ample bile flow maintains good digestion and absorption of food, and has a strong cleansing action throughout the intestinal tract. Every part of the body depends on the basic nutrients made available through the digestive system, as well as the efficient removal of waste products from the digestive system. Gallstones in the liver and gallbladder considerably disrupt both of these vital processes. Therefore, they can be held accountable for most, if not all, of the different kinds of ailments that can afflict the body. Removal of gallstones helps to normalize the digestive and eliminative functions, improve cell metabolism and maintain balance throughout the body.

AGNI, The Digestive Fire, The ‘General’ Of Digestion
By Andreas Moritz
Whenever food enters your mouth and touches the taste buds located on the surface of your tongue, your salivary glands begin secreting saliva. Saliva is needed to lubricate the food and to predigest cooked starches. At the same time, your pancreas and small intestine receive instructions to prepare for the release of the appropriate kinds and amounts of digestive enzymes and minerals necessary to help break down the food into the smallest nutrient components.
The first and most common cause of digestive trouble is swallowing food too quickly. This eating habit indicates anxiety, impatience and nervousness. Eating too quickly reduces saliva production in the mouth cavity, which is a major cause of tooth decay. One of the functions of saliva is to keep the mouth and teeth protected against harmful substances and irritating microbes.
There are other reasons why masticating food properly is so essential for our wellbeing. According to fascinating research conducted at the Gifu University in Japan, chewing actually improves memory by reducing the release of stress hormones. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has demonstrated that the hippocampus, which helps control blood levels of stress hormones, is stimulated by the act of chewing. As a result, the simple act of chewing properly lowers both stress and stress hormones. So chewing your food well can actually reduce anxiety levels.
The Japanese researchers also found that when teeth were missing or in a state of disrepair, people tended to chew less. Subsequently, this led to increased stress hormone levels. The conclusion from this study is that good dental health and the ability to chew properly appear to be important factors in preserving our memory as we age and in protecting ourselves against the harmful effects of stress.
After passing through the esophagus, the food enters the stomach. If the food contains carbohydrates (complex sugars and starches as found in vegetables and grains), the salivary enzymes continue to digest these foods for about an hour before the stomach begins to secrete its gastric juices. If the food is swallowed too quickly, these foods remain mostly undigested and begin to ferment.
Gastric juice is composed of hydrochloric acid, enzymes, mineral salts, mucus and water. The action of the acid kills many of the harmful microbes and parasites that are naturally present in fresh produce, meat, fish, dairy products and other foods. The hydrochloric acid also breaks down some of the harmful substances that may accompany the food, such as certain food additives or chemicals. Special enzymes begin to act upon proteins that may be present in the food. Once saturated with enough acid, the food is forced in small jets into the duodenum.
The duodenum is a hollow jointed tube connecting the stomach to the jejunum, which is the central of the three divisions of the small intestine. It represents the first and shortest part of the small intestine, and it is where most chemical digestion takes place. It is called the cap because on an x-ray it looks a bit like a cap. Thereafter, the duodenum makes a C-turn going from the right to the left side of the abdomen. Bile from the liver and secretions from the pancreas come through the ampulla of Vater to mix with food in the duodenum. The pancreatic juices contain digestive enzymes, minerals and water to help break down starches further. The bile, which is forced into the duodenum via the common bile duct, aids in the digestion of fats and proteins. The duodenum participates in this very important part of the digestive process by releasing specific hormones and digestive juices.
Ayurveda calls the entire activity in this section of the digestive system AGNI, or ‘digestive fire’. AGNI ‘cooks’ the food further in order to make its nutrients available for the cells and tissues at a later stage.
The small intestine has a total length of approximately 6 meters (18 feet). It is responsible for the absorption of nutrients, salt and water. On the average, approximately 9 liters (9.5 quarts) of fluid enter the jejunum (upper part of the small intestine) each day, a major portion of which is composed of digestive juices. The small intestine absorbs approximately 7 liters (7.4 quarts), leaving only 1.5 to 2 liters to move on to the large intestine. The absorptive function of the small intestine is brought about by an intricate array of cells within its lining (intestinal folds and villi) that absorb and secrete salts and nutrients as well as water in order to maintain normal salt and water balance within the body. In a healthy person, the absorptive function is so efficient that with a natural, balanced diet, over 95 percent of ingested carbohydrates and proteins are absorbed.
Specific sections of the small intestine perform specific functions. For example, the duodenum plays an important role in coordinating how the stomach empties and at what rate bile needs to be secreted into the intestine to optimize the digestive process. The duodenum is also a major site for the absorption of iron. The jejunum is a major site for the absorption of the vitamin, folic acid, while the end of the ileum (lower part of the intestine) is the most important site for the absorption of vitamin B12 and bile salts. The blood takes up all the nutrients and moves them to the liver for further processing.
The ingested food can be broken down into its basic nutrient components and made available for the complex metabolic processes in the body only when AGNI, the digestive fire, is strong. AGNI is fueled by bile, without which none of the other digestive juices would be sufficiently effective to break down food into its nutrient components.
Bile is alkaline. When food that is saturated with hydrochloric acid enters the small intestine, it first needs to be mixed with bile before digestive enzymes can act on the food. An intestinal pH-value of high acidity would block enzyme secretion and become a major stumbling block for the proper digestion of food. Furthermore, in order for them to become activated, pancreatic enzymes must combine with bile before passing through the ampulla of Vater. To make this possible, the common bile duct and the pancreatic duct combine to form one short duct before joining the duodenum. As long as bile secretion from the liver’s bile ducts and the gallbladder remain unimpeded by gallstones, good digestion is almost guaranteed, provided that the ingested food is fresh and wholesome.
The combination of nutritious food and strong AGNI forms the ideal partnership to help the body make sufficient amounts of amino acids, fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, glucose, fructose, trace elements and other vital substances available to all its parts. This, in turn, produces healthy blood, vital tissues and a youthful body. The quality of the blood and the tissues of the body, including those that make up the skin, mostly reflect the condition of the liver and the small intestine.

Simple Rules for Healthy Eating
By Andreas Moritz
The sense of taste is responsible for our enjoyment of food. Weight problems and other physical imbalances are due to loss of enjoyment from food. If we could truly enjoy food, we would never have a weight problem. The following awareness techniques maximize the enjoyment of food, improve digestion and metabolism, and increase energy and vitality:
Whenever you eat or drink anything, however little it may be, make it a rule to sit down. Food can only be digested properly when we eat in the sitting position. To eat while in the lying position impairs blood and lymph flow throughout the gastrointestinal tract, and eating while walking or standing causes indigestion.
When you eat, don’t do anything else such as listening to the radio, watching television, reading or driving a car. A major reason for having taste buds on the tongue is that the brain can receive signals as to what type and quantity of food is entering the digestive system. This enables the body to produce and release sufficient amounts of various enzymes required for the digestion of the food. If we didn’t have such a facility, our digestive system would secrete enzymes indiscriminately which would be a wasteful action the body cannot afford. When we turn our attention to anything else but the food we are eating, our taste buds cannot make sufficient ‘conscious’ contact with the various foods and their tastes. This restricts the release of the appropriate digestive enzymes for each particular taste and reduces AGNI, the digestive fire. It also confuses the body for it will no longer know when the saturation point for a particular type of taste, such as salty or sweet, has been reached. Hence, foods cravings begin to emerge which are linked with insufficiently digested and absorbed foods, as well as with the lack of pleasure hormones, normally secreted when food is eaten with full attention. Since eating is an act of enjoyment, we might as well do it with an undivided mind. As a golden rule, everything we do with joy and attention is beneficial, and everything we do with displeasure and lack of attention generates problems.
Eat only when the stomach is empty, otherwise you interfere with the enjoyment of food. When the stomach is still full or is in the process of digesting food, the taste buds are desensitized to prevent a person from eating. Natural hunger only occurs when the stomach is empty. On the other hand, false hunger or food cravings emerge when the basic natural rules of eating have been violated for a long time and emotional imbalances exist; both these causes override or suppress the normal signals of satiation coming from the stomach and taste buds. The urge to eat food while the stomach is still digesting, is often connected to occurrence of gallstones in the liver and gallbladder and disappears once they have been removed through a series of liver cleanses.
Do not put food into your mouth till the previous bite has gone into the stomach. The process of eating is a unique opportunity to practice mindfulness and patience. By chewing the food until it has been masticated enough to produce a sweet tasting liquid, greatly enhances the enjoyment of food and keeps your attention on the present moment, which is the key to all happiness. Mahatma Gandhi advised people to ‘drink’ their food and ‘eat’ their drinks. Eating and drinking in this way is one of the most powerful methods of overcoming emotional problems in life.
Do not speak while there is still food in the mouth. When you speak while there is food in your mouth, you tend to swallow before it is properly masticated, and you miss out on enjoying your food. It is better to speak only when there is no food left in the mouth. For your first helping, take about two cupped hands full of food. This will fill up two thirds of your stomach; the rest is empty space that is needed to propel the food and mix it with digestive juices. If you are still hungry, wait for five minutes. If the feeling of hunger has not subsided by this time, you may take some more food. Leaving the table slightly hungry is a good method to increase one’s will power, determination and self-confidence. Completely filling the stomach leads to indigestion, dullness, lethargy and food cravings.
Make certain to have all the six tastes of food at least once a day. This can effectively help to reduce food cravings and prevent nutrient deficiencies. Be careful not to eat more than 3-4 main ingredients in one meal at a time or have more than one type of starch or protein in a meal.
Better Taste
There are two methods to improve the performance of our taste buds and to lubricate and sensitize them for greater enjoyment of food:
- When your tongue is coated white or yellow, clean it with a tongue scraper or a tablespoon every morning after awakening and every evening before going to bed. This removes sticky AMA (with billions of bacteria) from your taste buds.
- Swish 1 or 2 tablespoons of cold pressed and unrefined sunflower or sesame oil in your mouth cavity for 3-4 minutes every morning, and perhaps also in the evening before bedtime. The oil draws and absorbs toxins and microbes from the throat, tonsils, ears, eyes, blood, chest etc. Then spit it out and rinse your mouth with water. When the tongue is clear and the taste buds are unobstructed, we tend not to overeat because the natural satiety level or satisfaction from food is reached more easily. Those who tend to overeat or smoke cigarettes have dull taste buds. They have a ‘high-flavored’ threshold, which means that they need much stronger and more stimulating foods to be satisfied; this may lead to food cravings and substance addictions.

Teleclass: The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush with Andreas Moritz
Teleclass The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush With Andreas Moritz
Nancy Desjardins: Hello and welcome to our weekly tele-seminar. I am Nancy Desjardins form healthlady.com. And if this is your first time, welcome, today I’ll be hosting a fifty minute tele-class and we are going to talk about how to take charge of your health with the liver and gallbladder cleanse with our very special guest Andreas Mortis. So now about Andreas Moritz, so, Andreas is a medical intuitive, a practitioner of Ayurveda, iridology, shiatsu and vibration medicine, a writer, and also an artist. He was born in south west Germany in 1954. Andreas had to deal with several severe illnesses from an early age which compelled him to study diet, nutrition and various methods of natural healing while still a child. So by the age of twenty, he had completed his training in both iridology the diagnostic science of eye interpretation and diagnosis. In 1981 Andreas began studding Ayurvedic medicine in India and finished his training as a qualified practitioner in New Zealand in 1991. So rather than being satisfied with merely treating there symptoms of illness, Andreas has dedicated his life work to understanding and treating at the root cause of illness. So because of this holistic approach he has had great success with cases of terminal disease where conventional method of healing proved futile. So since 1988 he has practiced the Japanese healing art of shiatsu which has given him insight into the energy system of the body. Now therein he devoted eight years of research into consciousness and its important role in the filed of mind-body medicine. He is also the author of many, many books, I am going to mention three of them “THE AMAZING LIVER AND GALLBLADDER FLUSH “and “THE LIVER GALLBLADDER MIRACLE CLEANSE” and “TIMELESS SECRETS OF HEALING AND REJUVENATION“. Do visit his website which is “www.ENER-CHI.com” so it is ENER-CHI.com or just Google, just type in Andreas Moritz that will guide you right on his website. So welcome Andreas and thanks for joining me today.
Andreas Moritz: Thank you Nancy, thanks for having me,
Nancy Desjardins: This is our second interview and I was so looking forward for this interview and so Andreas, can you tell us a little bit about your background and why you wrote the book “THE LIVER And GALLBLADDER MIRACLE CLEANSE“
Andreas Moritz: Now, I will answer the second question first because I had to deal with my own illnesses and I suffered forty gallstone attacks. Once every seven eight weeks and anyone who knows what a gallstones attack is and has experienced it, will know that it is extremely painful. So it served me as a great motivator to find out why I had these gallstone attacks, not that in just that I had them but why I had them and so I discovered, it took me back to way back to my early childhood where I had an injury on my head, it causes scoliosis, it caused me gastro-intestinal problems. By the time I was six years old, I already had gallstones in my liver, actually I am saying, I am saying that consciously, gallstones in my liver, because nobody really could figure that one out. My uncle was a leading medical doctor in Germany at that time, he was an iridologist as well and he looked in my eyes and said you have stones in your liver and I always remembered that and so when I developed these very, very powerful painful gallstone attacks, I remembered his words, “there are stones in your liver” and so I did not want to sacrifice my gallbladder just for nothing really. I knew the implications of what happens when your gallbladder has been removed such as continuous gastro intestinal problems and the risk of cancer is going up, obesity can result form that so there were many, many things I did not want to happen and I looked for natural alternatives, how to get rid of these stones in the liver, I knew I had gallstones in the gallbladder because whenever I had a gallstone attack one or several of these stone started coming through, but they unfortunately got stuck in my common bile duct which caused me the excruciating pain which often times lasted as long as three weeks, day and night, and you cannot really take a breath without going into a spasm. So the answer to my search was given to me, because I lived in an area of the road where olive oil was one of the commonest foods that exist there and the Greek islands, in this particular place is Cyprus, which has, it is partly Greek and partly Turkish and what I was looking for was an answer, what do the grandmothers and mothers, the Greek mothers and grandmothers do, when their children get sick, and so this took me into the remote villages and when I asked them what do you do when your grandchildren are sick and they said “well we give them olive oil and lemon juice to drink”, I said “what?” And so, and they said, “well what happens then is well these green things are coming out of them and they feel good again and they are healthy and they are very healthy” and so these people are actually very healthy, they live off the land, they have, but sometimes things can happen and children get sick and so they put them on these liver cleanses… they had no idea what actually would happen but when I researched the matter I found that this was not new, I found books form the 1920s in English literature, in great Britain, and also some German literature where in the early 20th century, people, doctors were actually talking about these cleanses that purge the liver of toxins and stones, and so, when I tested it out on myself, then I immediately found when I looked in the toilet bowl, three hundred stones sitting there, they were floating in the toilet and I felt somehow rejuvenated, something happened and there was greater clarity, my eyes looked better, I had more energy and then I did not have a gallstone attack again, never, after my first liver flush. So that is where the story begins. I noted down my experiences and eventually I wrote the first version of the liver flush and it was called “THE LIVER CLEANSE” and it became “THE AMAZING LIVER CLEANSE” because it became more amazing as I continued passing these stones and my health improved dramatically during that time and so that is where basically the history the brief history of the liver and gall bladder flush comes from.
Nancy Desjardins: Wow! That is very powerful, I mean you.. just your own experience and what they did is after our first interview, we are going back to a few years ago, I had read your book and did several liver gallbladder cleanses and whenever, you know, I mean, it is, we live in, it is almost impossible to remove stress from our lives. How is your stress level Andreas?
Andreas Moritz: Well, there is always a reason that could make you feel stressed, however that has more to do with you than these situations that occur so if you know, if you are… if you haven’t slept well during the night and then something happens that could be a grievance in your life, then you will react more strongly to that than you would if you had been well rested and energized. So…
Nancy Desjardins: But let me add…
Andreas Moritz: Yeah..
Nancy Desjardins: Let me add something to this, so what happened after those several liver and gallbladder cleanses, I was definitely one of those people that were… I was having a hard time coping with perhaps the demand or stress. The first thing I noticed with the liver gallbladder cleanse is I was more adaptable, I was able to cope with the situation much, much better. So that is what I wanted to share.
Andreas Moritz: Right
Nancy Desjardins: Too full or what!
Andreas Moritz: Absolutely, because that is basically what it does. It raises your energy levels, it allows you to differentiate, rather a greater clarity in your mental capacities, you have a better way to modify your responses to any given situation because you have a greater sense of clarity about them and so a lot of things happen, it is not just that your eyesight, your outer vision can improve and become more clear but, your inner vision as well, and so you start seeing things more clearly and you realize that stressful conditions that may have bothered you before, they may not be as stressful now, so something happens inside when your body is feeling healthier, then you are also responding to stressful conditions in a much different way. You have a much more relaxed sort of approach to stress.
Nancy Desjardins: Yes absolutely, I am glad that you elaborated on this subject, now before we dive in into the interview, could you explain the functions of the liver ?
Andreas Moritz: Well I could talk for days about that because the liver is probably the most complex organ that we have. It is almost it is on the same foot as the brain in terms of complexity. There is hardly anything that happens in the body that is not indirectly or directly controlled by the liver. One of the most important things is to produce a substance that helps us to digest food and that is called bile, and bile is a greenish yellowish liquid that has a bitter sour taste to it that when you eat food and it goes into your stomach, the gallbladder is collecting bile form the liver and it is secreting it into the common bile duct, from there it enters the small intestine and so by the time your food is travelling into your intestines, it is being met by bile and that is very, very significant and important because the bile is alkaline, the hydrochloric acid in the stomach is obviously acidic, and so, there is a neutralization of acid that takes place to protect the lower intestine from erosion. So it is very important that we make enough bile. Now the bile is needed to digest fats, and without the bile you cannot digest fats, you can also not absorb minerals like calcium and magnesium, you need the presence of bile to do that, so you can already see how important this particular substance is. Imagine if no calcium gets absorbed, your bones are going to become brittle and you literally die for you cannot stand, you cannot walk, you cannot do anything, so it is a simple thing that has incredible repercussions throughout the entire body, in this case the skeletal system. Now if you want to digest food because food is absolutely essential to sustain the life of the sixty trillion cells that maintain your body, imagine if the fat is not digested, then you also have problems with another type of food. Carbohydrates need fat to digest them, without fat you cannot digest carbohydrates without fats you can also not digest proteins, so if you cannot digest proteins and fats and carbohydrates you have nothing, and so that is why people who do not make enough bile anymore, and the body is going into a state of either initiation or obesity which is basically the same thing. It means that the cells no longer receive their nutrients and the body might desperately hold on to fluids and fat and anything that might come into it and store it for to wait for the rainy day, so to say, when the juices can flow again and so a lot of problems arise when we do not secrete or produce enough bile in the liver and in the gallbladder. The bile is also necessary to take toxins out of the liver. This is the liver’s way to remove the toxins that it, the liver cells, have removed form the blood stream. So the liver is in charge of detoxifying the blood and through the blood the rest of the body. So if there is any part of the body that accumulates toxins, it shows that the liver is not capable of doing its job properly and therefore the ability to dump toxins into the bile and carry them out of the liver into the intestines for excretion, that function has been impaired. So the liver is extremely important also with regard to storing certain fats, soluble vitamins like vitamin D and K and A, and so when the liver is congested and it cannot absorb these fat soluble vitamins because there is not enough bile to digest fats to derive these vitamins from and store them in the liver then lot of, many, many health problems can result just from that. So you can see how the liver which monitors how many vitamins are needed that have to be stored in the liver, how many can be released and discarded, the liver constantly keeps track of all those functions. Then there is the ability to keep the blood values at the proper levels and that is extremely important otherwise the body would constantly bleed or it would get blood clots that would be formed because the blood would be too thick. So the liver, through very complex processes, that would take volumes of description if you ever want to write about it to describe it, it is extremely complex how the blood is maintained at the perfect level and the liver is in control of that. So anything that can affect the liver functions can therefore have huge repercussions for there rest of the body.
Nancy Desjardins: And today we are exposed to environment toxicity, I mean, can you talk about that, what an impact this has to do, this has, on the liver?
Andreas Moritz: Absolutely it is not just certain foods or beverages like alcohol, the liver is know to break down alcohol but it can do that only to a certain degree and the excess amount will then create issues that if you drink too much alcohol, it can lead to liver cirrhosis and that is very well known and pancreas destruction. So there are things that the liver is trying to do or whenever there are pesticides coming into the system, these are chemicals produced in laboratories, the liver has a certain capability of breaking down some of them but not all of them. So the liver also is in charge of removing air toxins that you breathe in that end up in your bloodstream. The liver also deals with toxins that we create when we do not digest our food properly so when we overeat, for example when we eat too much in the evening, when we eat foods that are very hard to digest – like animal protein where the human body has the capacity to digest between ten – fifteen and in some, the young people perhaps can digest twenty percent of a steak the rest of it will have to be decomposed and that produces nitrosamines which are very powerful toxins and when they enter the liver, the liver tries to detoxify as much of them as possible but oftentimes that does not work, there is simply too much coming in. We are exposed to fluoride in drinking water and toothpaste and mouth washes, there are toxins that come, particularly women they use makeup and other body creams and things that we put on our hair… hair dye, so there is so many, many different sources of pollutants, just drink from the bottle, plastic bottle, any water or other beverages, there will be plastic components which are carcinogenic, that means cancer producing, that leaked into the water or into the beverage, like coca-cola has already a lot of acids, it leaches out chemicals from the plastic bottle that end up in the system, there are hormones, there are drug elements in the drinking water now that people, when they use these drugs, they pass them into the… even antibiotics are now found in drinking water, so you dose yourself with drugs for things you do not need to take them, for simply by drinking water, public water, and so there are many, many contaminants. There are other things when you look in the sky you have chemtrails that are dumped in they spraying chemicals on to people these white long things that are consisting of aluminum oxides which are extremely poisonous, so when you breathe that in, or it gets into the food, when it settles into the drinking water then we become contaminated. We live in a place in the big city, just today there was new research that it causes brain damage and mental problems and memory issues in people that live in urban areas because simply because of the pollutants. So there is many things that the liver has to deal with and in this world and in this, in today’s environment, it is virtually impossible for the liver to get rid of all those multiple and differentiated kinds of chemicals and poisons and toxins that… then people get vaccines, they get a whole cocktail of sixty three carcinogenic poisons that enter the system. So the liver is not coping with that, it is impossible for the liver to deal with all the toxins and therefore the liver has to dump some of them into the bile ducts, to surround them with bile, to encapsulate these toxins, to keep them form entering the small intestine where they could be absorbed and into the blood and cause blood poisoning. So for the liver to create stones, that is really a necessity, not a disease, this is not something, this is a survival mechanism. So the body does that only to protect ourselves at least for the time being from being overloaded with toxins where the toxins might enter the brain and cause severe brain damage
Nancy Desjardins: And would you say that the color of your stool could indicate the quality of your bowels?
Andreas Moritz: Oh absolutely, and this is well known. You can read that up, in physiology books, that when the stools start floating it shows that the fats that you have eaten it is not digested properly, it stays in the fecal matter and causes the fecal matter to be lighter than water so it would float, it is like a boat, that really has air in it, like these little air boats. So the same thing applies to stool that is colored grayish sort of pale color, not the typical brown color, the brown color comes from the hemoglobin in the bile and that colors in that form and bile also colors it in this way once it is used in the digestive process as designed, then it will give you nice brown, bell shaped, non smeary stools. Whereas if they are light colored or grey colored or sort of pale looking, then it shows there is not enough bile that comes through into the digestive track to help digest the food with.
Nancy Desjardins: And now, so how many liver cleanse would a person need to go on and how would someone know when the liver is clean?
Andreas Moritz: Yes that depends really on each individual and when I first wrote the book I thought what happened to me that I needed to, tend to trust liver flushes, to be completely clean, I passed about three and a half thousand stones and that is when all the pain that I used to have completely disappeared form my body, my digestion rebalanced and many, many different improvements that are… again I have talked about that in the book, that can help and it is different for each person, there were some people that only needed six cleanses to be completely clean and then I found other people that needed twenty five or more cleanses, so it depends on how profoundly the liver has been impacted right from childhood, what contaminants that it could not detoxify, break down, eliminate, that the body needed to produce stones in order to keep the body safe. And so the person should attempt to, once you have done a certain number and there are no more stones coming out, to do another two liver flushes to make sure that in fact the liver is completely clean.
Nancy Desjardins: And what about if someone had their gall bladder removed can they still do the liver gall bladder cleanse ?
Andreas Moritz: They are the most likely candidates so that should do liver flushes because first of all their gallbladder was removed and because the gallbladder had stones in them, however, you cannot have stones in the gall bladder without having many times the number of stones in the bile ducts of the liver, and many… I have had many people who have got their gallbladders removed and they still complain about having gallstone attacks and the doctors think they are mentally not quite right in the head, there is no way that you can have gallstones when you do not have a gall bladder, but when they finally come to read my book or they communicated with me I said well the issue is that you do have stones, but they are not in your gall bladder because it is not there, it is in your liver, and so then they do liver flushes and they are totally surprised that all the stones come out and then they discontinue having any difficulties with gallstone attacks. The problem with removing the gallbladder and then 99 percent of cases it is done unnecessarily, just as it would have been unnecessary in my case even though my gall bladder was completely packed full with gall stones, it was almost like bursting full and still I was able to release them, that when you remove the gall bladder, then, the side effect is that you still cannot digest fats properly because the gall bladder is missing and the gall bladder is the only organ that is capable of secreting or pushing enough quality, highly concentrated bile that is about ten times, one tenth of the liquidity of the regular bile in the liver, that means, it is ten times more concentrated than the bile in the liver and in that concentrated form, that is when the digestion is really, really going well. So when the gallbladder is removed, that entire function is missing and there is only some little drips or drops of bile coming out directly from the liver entering the small intestine which is not controlled, it is not time-spaced with the digestion and therefore it is just trickles in throughout the day, little drops, just as the liver produces bile, it starts entering the small intestine, which is not a good idea… the bile should only be coming into the intestine when it is needed when there is food going through it, not when there is nothing going through it. So the problem with removing the gallbladder is immense. In this case the person may use a ox bile supplement in order to facilitated the digestion or fat which then helps the digestion of carbohydrates and protein as well, and so that is what every doctor should recommend but hardly any of them do, they just rip out the gall bladder and send the patient home saying that you are fine now, you can start eating whatever you want, but, then I get the feedback from these individuals that they then say they cannot digest food, they still have the aches and pains in the liver area and they still get gallstone attacks. So the theory, the medical theory, is completely obsolete, misleading, and it is not correct.
Nancy Desjardins: So gallbladder removing is not the solution to a problem you mentioned, ox bile, if you had your gall bladder removed
Andreas Moritz: Right
Nancy Desjardins: Should we take it on a daily basis
Andreas Moritz: Yes, it causes diarrhea like regular bile does… if you make too much bile you would get diarrhea, and that is another disorder that is associated with a particular body type called the pitta body type where they often produce too much bile but that is a completely different story, however, yes, removing the gallbladder requires that the person has some sort of bile supplement that allows that person taking it with each meal to help digest the fats. If you take too much of it, the ox bile, then you will get diarrhea so you will have to reduce it to a point where it allows you to have properly formed stools and not diarrhea,
Nancy Desjardins: You mentioned earlier that you had forty gal stone attacks and after your first liver gallbladder cleanse, you did not have any gallstone attacks, sothat would be the solution for anyone who does have gallstone attacks to do a cleanse or several cleanses
Andreas Moritz: Absolutely, and many people are afraid… they are terrified… “oh my god you know I have these stones and the doctor said you have a one centimeter stone in your gallbladder”, you have maybe ten of them or your gallbladder is filled up with stones. There is a great misconception, when for example, when you eat a, let’s say, that person eats a very fatty meal like fried food, lot of fatty deserts and then two hours later or one hour later she has an extremely excruciating pain emanating from the middle part of the back where the liver is, on the right, a little more on the right hand side, and then the pain is shooting all the way up to the head into basically every part of the body, and you cannot breathe properly, every time you take a breath it is like bringing on another spasm, very powerful painful spasm and because what happens is that the gall bladder is stimulated by the fatty meal and then a stone that is sitting sort of in the exiting part, enters the cystic duct which is that part that connects the gallbladder to the common bile duct and it is starting to move into the common bile duct or into the cystic duct and it gets stuck, and since these are calcified stones or even the regular soft cholesterol stones form the liver, they could get stuck in the common bile duct simply because that obstruction irritates the bile duct and it contracts into, it goes into a very strong spasmodic contraction, which then holds the stone exactly there and it cannot move and then there is an inflammation and then all the nerves that are located there they start signaling there is something wrong, we need to work on this, so the body needs to work on this, so the problem is that when you have a gallstone attack it can last a long, long time and it can cause jaundice, that means, you can turn yellow because there is no more bile, the bile can no longer flow anywhere and it is backing up, it gets into the blood stream and then it shows up in the whites of the eye or in the skin and so many people then panic and then they go to the emergency room and the doctor says “we have to immediately remove your gallbladder” and then they, while doing that, then they remove, then they pull out that stone as well and then they sew this thing together and then they say, “well you are fine, everything is ok now.” Whereas when you do a liver flush, the liver and gallbladder flush, it is a very different story. You are opening the bile ducts in the liver to release stones, particularly those in the exiting bile duct, there are two major huge bile ducts that have like a tree behind them, they are like trunks of a tree and then all the branches and the smaller branches and the tiny branches and then that is the entire network, it is called the bilary tree, and we have two such trees in the liver. So when you do the liver flush you start relaxing through the use of magnesium oxide which is called Epsom salts, you are relaxing the bile duct, so they can open up, they are completely relaxed, you stimulate the gallbladder and the liver to secrete a lot of bile, a lot of bile, because you are taking half a cup of olive oil and lemon juice or other citric juice which opens the gall bladder, and it releases a lot of oily bile, and the bile is very oily, but when you eat a fatty meal you are not producing enough bile to actually continue to push stones all the way through into the small intestine, while, when you do a liver flush, you are taking a lot of, drinking that olive oil mixture, and you have prepared all the bile ducts, including the common bile duct to be completely relaxed. So now you have this oily bile taking the stones that are… they cannot get stuck into the common bile duct, the bile duct is far too relaxed, it does not do anything, it just allows all the stones to tumble through and get into the small intestine and then they travel into the large intestine, you would not even notice, some people sort of have a gurgling sensation, like one stone after another, like pebbles moving through but there is no pain there is no discomfort in any sense, so it is very, very important to know the difference between the two, that is why you do not get gallstone attacks when you do liver flushes, but you get gallstone attacks when you eat fatty meals, you may just eat some omelet for example, eggs are a leading cause of gallstone attacks, so when a person eats a meal like breakfast of eggs and he has or she has gallstones that are ready to, sort of, move out of the gallbladder, then they may just have an attack shortly thereafter and with the liver flushes you take a sort of, a biggest bulk out of the liver so that they are sitting on the edge of the gallbladder and the liver and so you move these stones and that is why it is unlikely for a person to have another gallstone attack and if it is, it can be easily remedied, let’s say, if the person eats a fatty meal and does have a mild attack then, drinking a glass of Epsom salts will allow the stone to simply go thorough, you do not have to go the emergency room for that, just drink a glass of Epsom salts, or with each meal for next two or three meals drink a cup of red beet juice, and that helps as well, helps to clear out the stones without surgery, it is actually quite easy.
Nancy Desjardins: Yeah it is. Perhaps it is so simple but it that might be the reason why people are not.. by which the people I mean… there is a lot of people now that are really following this protocol.
Andreas Moritz: Oh there are millions of them now, millions around the world.
Nancy Desjardins: Yeah twenty five years I can understand, but now today is I absolutely, I refuse to think that a lot people are not… do not believe… in liver and gallbladder cleanse. But now why liver flush combined with colon cleanse like a colonic or enema are absolutely necessary for healing ?
Andreas Moritz: That is a very good question and that is important to understand because the colon and the liver, gallbladder are part of the same system, it is called the digestive system, right, so they work hand in hand, it is a closed system, they know what the other one is doing. So if there is congestion in the large intestine for example, if a person is constipated and goes to the toilet maybe only once every two or three days and that person would attempt a liver flush, now we know that bile is the body’s natural laxative and it initiates bowel movement and so there is not enough bile coming out of the liver, then there is just not enough parasitosis power to propel the waste out of the large intestine and the person has constipation, so, when that constipated person attempts the liver flush without cleaning out the colon before then, there is, it is almost like a hose that you close at the end where you hold it and you turn on the faucet and no water can come out and it is stuck and nothing moves and so no new water can come into the hose either. It is like that, if the large intestine is clogged up and is constipated then, there is back pressure, air pressure and also toxins and waste that is not moving out, and new food that is eaten cannot move down and be digested, it is when there is constipation, so, it is all piling up, it is like a big traffic jam and what happens is that when the body is not capable of removing the waste from the colon, the gallbladder receive a signal, please do not waste any more bile on anything. So then, it is a vicious cycle basically, so the gallbladder is receiving the signal to stay shut. And not to release bile; without bile new food cannot be digested and that food that is not mixed with bile, cannot be eliminated because bile is the natural laxative and so the parasitosis does not take place. So when you do a liver flush, you prepare for the liver flush, it is very important to make sure that the colon is completely clean and open and that is why it is good to do a colon cleanse before each liver flush so that you have the best possible liver flush, that means that the gallbladder is opening up without any reservation, without any holding back, without any attempt to close itself and to shut its door so that it can completely open up and release all the bile that it has in it along with any stones that are in it and it allows the liver to do the same thing – to releases as much bile as possible along and carrying the stones through the system so that there is no problem with having an effective easy going liver flush
Nancy Desjardins: And what do you think about coffee enema? What of that?
Andreas Moritz: Well it can be done, a coffee enema has never been shown to release stones. So the biggest impediments in the liver, they are not coming out. Coffee enema is a stimulant to release toxins form the liver and it does that, there is no doubt about it, so coffee enemas are not colon cleanses by the way, they only, the coffee is a small amount of liquid that goes not further than the rectum so it stays basically in the lower parts of the intestines so it cannot clean out the intestines but it can stimulate the liver to open up and release fluid or liquefied toxins so it does have a bile stimulating effect certainly.
Nancy Desjardins: So would you recommend colonics, would that be your first choice?
Andreas Moritz: It would be the first choice. Definitely the first choice because the water that goes into the colon, the entire colon, it is just the entire colon up with the water and water is still one of the best solvents, it dissolves waste matter, it allows the intestines to expand so any pockets, any tightness in the colon, any strictures that maybe there that can prevent the body from eliminating all the waste properly, all of that can open up and once these pockets are open and the thicker matter is released, then that definitely is the best preparation for the liver flush. I also recommend colemas, colema board, which are very common or popular now at least in north America and is now getting more common also in Europe, where you can do this colonic basically at home simply by lying on a board have a high enema where a lot of water flows into the entire colon, the entire length of the colon, and basically do something similar as colonic irrigation. If that is not available, then two to three back to back water enemas would be adequate as well, even though it is much less effective. So it would be like doing two or three enemas, filling up the colon, cleaning out whatever come out and doing another enema and getting a little further into the colon with that new water, and then cleaning that out and doing another one, so the you make sure that the water goes all the way up to the ascending colon.
Nancy Desjardins: And the colema board is available on your website, any one listening again it is ENER-CHI.com and you go under wellness products and the board is right there and so what would you say to anyone who does emotional release or work on themselves and do not do any body cleanse including the liver gallbladder cleanse to get rid of anger or negativity toxins ?
Andreas Moritz: It is tough to work on something like that when the body is unhappy because it is congested, it is will send you signals of discomfort and when the body is uncomfortable, then you become anxious, nervous, irritable, and you become even depressed. So when this liver is, particularly the liver is an emotional center in the body, so it is not just processing toxins but also emotions like anger and frustration and being upset, because and that is very understandable, we now know that, when a person is called angry and is constantly having angry eruptions, we also call him like he has a bilious nature, right? people say he has a bilious nature, bile, the bile is basically not coming out, it is trapped and it is backwashing into the blood and once bile is moving into the blood then it causes irritability, it makes you even more nervous and anxious and upset, so yes, a lot of people who have done liver flushes clean out their liver, they find that they cannot be angry anymore. It is almost like that part is starting to dissipate and miss, be missing, it is, that is what I noticed first too when my liver was clean, I just could not think of things that could really make me angry and that is a wonderful thing, because many people who have been depressed, and depression is basically prolonged anger after a while when the frustration and anger last too long, them we move into a state of depression. So when people do liver flushes they sometimes feel like for moment or two they become extremely angry and then they then do not become angry anymore after that, it is almost like a release that happens when you pass the stones and with the toxins you also release emotional toxins.
Nancy Desjardins: And would lack of sleep also have an effect on the liver too?
Andreas Moritz: Oh totally
Nancy Desjardins: Yeah
Andreas Moritz: Yes absolutely because sleep is.. there is really nothing you can do in terms of digesting foods, eliminating waste successfully, having a proper brain function all of those and the liver, particularly, depends on your rest so that it can do its work. The most important time for the liver to do its work is between ten and two in the night and when you do not sleep at that time, then the liver is not getting enough energy, it is not getting enough blood in order to do its work. The liver is like a sponge in the night time particularly, it fills up completely with blood and where is the blood coming from? Well it comes from the brain and the muscles and the different pars of the body that you are not using when you sleep. So when you are lying there, the liver is pulling in all that blood form the back of the brain which is, in itself, it is already a quart of a blood and from the muscles and all those other areas that you are, when you are resting, you do not need as much blood. So now the liver is pulling all that blood, the liver cells are directly surrounded by blood and it is not like other organs where there are blood vessels that somehow supply nutrients to the cell though osmosis. In the liver cells, with the liver it is completely different, the liver is swimming, the liver cells are floating in the blood therefore they are capable of working with the blood, they can filter things out, it is like a huge filter and they can put new things in, the liver produces thousands of different enzymes that are needed on a cellular level for cell metabolism, for digestion and for detoxification, for removing oxygen free radicals there is so much that depends on the sleep. So when you are not sleeping at this time, let’s say, you go to bed at midnight, past midnight then the liver does not get all that blood in order to filter, to remove toxins, put new things in, replenish everything, so then, the next day you have a deficiency and certain nutrients and certain enzymes, certain minerals, vitamins, the iron maybe, the iron level in the blood may not be correct therefore the oxygenation of the blood will be inadequate, you are not transferring enough oxygen to the cells, you start feeling tired, you start looking for something to stimulate you like more cups of coffee, more stimulating foods and beverages so all of that comes when there is lack of sleep; and the other effect is that there is a very important hormone that is produced at around nine thirty, ten o’clock, provided you are shutting your eyes and there is darkness around you and you are sleeping and that is called melatonin and melatonin regulates all the endocrine hormones in the body. So it is though the thyroid, and the thyroid is responsible for all the endocrine gland, so, it is an important factor to make sure we get the proper sleep. We found, there is a lot of research now with regard to sleep, cancer, and many ailments… diabetes, obesity… that when the liver particularly is not allowed to do its work sufficiently during the night time, then the entire body can go into a mode of chaos, and you as an emotional being can have emotions such as irritability, cannot concentrate as well, we now know learning ability is less, the ability to remember things is less and the immune system is suppressed. So there are many things that can are depend on proper sleep, oh absolutely. I would say that probably one of the most important things to do if you want to improve health, sleep early and have at least eight hours of sleep. The people, before electricity was invented, used to sleep nine to ten hours, and typically an American, on an average, sleep less than six hours.
Nancy Desjardins: That is really not enough. In your book you recommend two more questions Andreas I know this is, it is, I so want to enjoy this sense of you, in your book you recommend taking MMS which is miracle mineral supplement can you explain what MMS does?
Andreas Moritz: Yes, it is basically a chemical that the body does produce but if it is not produced sufficiently, then we may take that in and use it to detoxify certain chemicals and substances including heavy metals. So if mercury has accumulated, then MMS has the capability of breaking it down into a completely harmless substances so it is basically for detoxification, removing chemicals in the tissues and it is a good support system particularly if there is a severe contamination that has happened. It can also kill parasites and it can also clear up Candida overgrowth. I am not sort of going out and shouting that everyone should take MMS. I would leave it for particularly severe cases of contamination, and most in cases cleaning out the liver the kidneys and the colon and having a regular lifestyle, good eating habits, drinking enough water, being well hydrated, that takes care of most of the issues but in severe cases… if I had malaria again… I had it once when I was in India and I died, I was literally dead for eight minutes and when I came back my malaria disappeared within an hour, but I would not if a person has malaria I would say do not attempt that because you might not come back, but I would take MMS and kill the parasite from the system quite quickly.
Nancy Desjardins: Before we end this call, can you talk about your ener-chi paintings which are utilized for healing?
Andreas Moritz: Yes, it is not that they are designed to deal with any physical disorders, however it deals with the energy system and energy in the sense of chi, your life force, trikone, yoga all those systems they deal with, and shiatsu, acupuncture, acupressure they all work with the meridian system in the body and the meridians are basically connected to every organ and system, so likewise, many illnesses come from when there is a blockage of energy, the chi, the real life force, and that by the way the liver is the central distribution organ for chi. So that is why it is so important also to keep that organ neat and clean so that it can distribute chi or life force to the cells in the body and the chi can be subdued because chi flow can stop and let/s say there is congestion in an organ like in the gall bladder or liver or the spleen or the brain and nervous system or the small intestine, large intestine, or the skeletal system or the muscular system or the lymphatic system, so there can be lack of flow of chi through the ducts and channels of elimination and circulation in the body and any physical congestion will lead to a congestion in the chi flow and vice versa any congestion in the meridians in these energy ducts that can now be measured actually by medical diagnostic tools. When there is a blockage of chi, then that corresponding organ can then start to malfunction, so for example think of people who have like a leg removed, an amputation, they still complain, ninety-six percent of them will still complain of having pain in the same place where the leg once was before, and the reason for this is because the energy ducts are still there. So what I found over the years is that pain is actually not caused by anything physical, but by these non-physical channels, when they are blocked you get pain, the pain… the nerve pain comes afterwards. So when I designed, created pictures, one picture for every organ and system in the body, simply by looking at one of these energy pictures, you restore the chi flow through like the stomach meridian, the large intestine, the spleen meridian, the liver gallbladder meridian, the thyroid meridian, the endocrine system, so when you have, when you open the chi, then it allows basically the energy to flow freely again and it works, some of the pictures, just looking at it for 45 seconds it does that, and it lasts for at least several weeks just looking at it for 45 seconds, so it is very innocent, easy going, but it really works. I have tested it on every single person, it works one hundred percent, it always does. So it is sort of a gift that came to me.. I was never painting in my life before and then I created these paintings there are 33 paintings now, and you can find them on my website ENER-CHI.com that why it is called ener-chi.com
Nancy Desjardins: Everything is available on your website?
Andreas Moritz: Yes
Nancy Desjardins: It is very informative so you also have the list of all the books you wrote and so “THE AMAZING LIVER AND GALLBLADDER FLUSH” and so you have both books
Andreas Moritz: No that is basically my favorite edition “THE AMAZING LIVER AND GALLBLADDER FLUSH“, “THE MIRACLE CLEANSE” is published by another publisher that I gave the book to, so it has a different title. I am working on, right now, on a new edition but it will take before the end of the year, probably December it will come out.
Nancy Desjardins: But all your books are available on ener-chi.com?
Andreas Moritz: Yes and also on Amazon so if you put my name in, Andreas Moritz, you will find thirteen books there and in different languages.
Nancy Desjardins: Yes and I also have the “TIMELESS SECRET OF HEALTH AND REJUVENATION“
Andreas Moritz: Yes
Nancy Desjardins: That is another one, that can be another interview with just this book alone. So Andreas, thank you so much, I mean what a real honor to have an opportunity to interview you today and have you share your insight with our listeners and I really sure hope that everyone took some hope because it was a lot of information. Andreas thank you so much
Andreas Moritz: You are most welcome. It was my pleasure
Nancy Desjardins: And again to visit ENER-CHI.com, Andreas Moritz, and Andreas all the best to you and I cannot wait to read the new edition, you said at the end of this year?
Andreas Moritz: Yeah
Nancy Desjardins: Ok sounds good so thank you everyone for listening to this interview and again thank you Andreas
Andreas Moritz: Thank you bye-bye
Nancy Desjardins: Bye-bye.
Strong Proponent of Vegetarian Diet (Patrick Timpone interviews Andreas Moritz)
Strong Proponent of Vegetarian Diet (Patrick Timpone interviews Andreas Moritz)
From the hill country, in Texas, this is One Radio Network
Patrick Timpone: And a very pleasant good evening to you this is oneradionetwork.com. it is a Monday, the 23rd of February 2009. This is Patrick Timpone and it is very, very nice to be here with you. We have another great week lined up for you. This week on oneradionetwork.com Wednesday the real world money with Andrew Gass and boy! has it been silly out there in the world, money, as you probably figured out already on Thursday I asked a Dr. Massy and he is going to be here, he is a good one from Texas an MD that is gone straight and you will be able to call up and ask questions. Tomorrow night we are going to be talking about the constitution and some folks that will teach us how to take the constitution into the court room if we ever need to go there hope we don’t, and also about gardening and home studying tomorrow night and then later on the week we are going to talk about the whole mouth, the appropriate suction and the bite and how the whole thing is hooked together with the jaw and cranial and pretty cool stuff with a gentleman up in Pennsylvania. So we have a full week lined up for you. So you join us anytime you can here is our phone number 888-663-63-86. Well we are looking forward to talking with the man tonight because we are very proud to be able to have him on every few months for we talk him into it, he is in the South Carolina area and it is Andreas Moritz one of our favorites. Andreas how are you?
Andreas Moritz: I am doing well thank you. Thank for having me again.
Patrick Timpone: Nice to have you. yeah We already have a bunch of emails people said why you are not calling Andreas is in we want to talk to him. Well you do quite a bit of consultations right on the telephone that is how you spend your time.
Andreas Moritz: right I am still doing that.
Patrick Timpone: and are you seen any kinds of trends or similar things over the years do they change much?
Andreas Moritz: I think they are coming in phases. In the last couple of months I have had mostly terminal cancer patients calling me up, so it is sometimes I get like couple of months just people for heart problems, high blood pressure problems and so I am just getting cancer patients, so it is really strange, that, and then there is a phase where just diabetics turn up. So I do not know why it does but it happens to happen.
Patrick Timpone: how do you think all of the stuff going on in the world, we know it affects our health give us some of your ideas and the money thing and jobs and all that and how this is all tied in with our health?
Andreas Moritz: I think it is completely tied in with our health, lot of people respond to the current crisis with a great deal of anxiety and it translates into very powerful changes in our body. I get a lot of people who are so worried that, literally, the body has started to malfunction and you see that it translates into digestive problems, foremost of all they feel in the stomach you can no longer digest food very well, they get bloated and then they get symptoms of pain or symptoms of distention and again anxiety in the body, and so what is happening is that people perceive the current situation in a negative way and because it is perceived negatively, there could theoretically see it in a positive light and that is the power of perception but they see it in a negative way so they see the destructiveness of it and then they translate it, literally translate that into the bio chemistry that is become destructive in our body, so we produce two sets of chemicals, some that are enhancing our well being and other that diminish it and so if you produce for example stress hormones on a regular basis, not just when you are facing a difficult moment where you have to fight or run away, which is the ‘fight or flight’ response for which we are suppose to make those stress hormones, but many people make them all the time now, that means they are producing cortisol they are producing adrenaline, noradrenaline and cholesterol, which is by the way a very powerful stress hormone, most people do not refer to it as a stress hormone whereas it is a stress hormone, it is healing hormone, so if you produce too much of any of them, then it can create a whole effect of changes in our body such as suppressing the immune system, cortisol for example or rather adrenaline, obviously enhancing the circulation in the peripheral parts in the body in the muscles and in the bones and that allows you to run away but it does not allow you to get enough blood in the gastrointestinal track so you do not digest your food well anymore. Under stress literally the digestion stops.
Patrick Timpone: oh that is so interesting. Let’s invite the listeners in, here is the number 888-663-63-86. For the shy among you Patrick@oneradionetwork.com that is the email with Andreas Moritz who has been in the health care arena for thirty five years and he says probably some lifetimes before that. His website is ENER-CHI.com. He has a lots of books and some cool products there. He also has a revised edition of the “AMAZING LIVER AND GALLBLADDER FLUSH” one of my favorite books, “CANCER IS NOT A DISEASE” and “SIMPLE STEPS TO TOTAL HEALTH“, lots of books, he is a busy man and he talks to people as consultations where you can arrange with him so he does interesting work and so he is a joy to have him here. So that is very interesting, Andreas, about the stress and the blood and the digestion. Because I was going to ask you how that all ties in. so when we are stressed out and we think need to run away from a tiger or something, then the blood then leaves the digestive track and then we eat anyway, probably, and then it does not work.
Andreas Moritz: yeas a lot of people eat emotionally when it happens, so we are running out of energy, we are looking for foods that immediately can get the sugar level up and so they start eventually craving those kinds of food. The cells they will not get energy form those types of food and will crave more of the same, so the cells actually become nervous, they become anxious, they become irritable, every single cell can produce adrenaline and noradrenaline and cortisol, so all the stress hormones that are adrenal glands can produce the cells, can produce the same, and therefore you start getting nervousness on the cellular level. Most people do not think in terms of that, they think the cells are just like little machines and they are all obeying the larger machinery we call the body, and somehow this whole thing is working like a machine, but that is not how it functions. The cells in our body have a consciousness to them, they feel, they have emotions, they send signals that are comprised of enzymes, and also light signals as it was recently discovered, to the heart, to the brain, to every other cell in the body, so every cell knows what every other cell is up to. So if the liver cells for example become stressed because you are eating certain kinds of food that are contaminated or you taking medications, medical drugs, which always interferes with liver functions and it is contaminating the liver particularly the bile ducts of the liver so they start getting clogged up, they start making intra-hepatic gallstones, that inhibits the bile flow form the liver into the small intestine, then you do not digest your food well because you need bile to digest food, so less bile you make the less you are capable of digesting you food and therefore you have a lot of undigested food, less absorption of nutrients to the cells, the cells will cry out and say where is my food. They start complaining and the complaint is basically nervousness, anxiousness, you feel stressed from the inside out. Something triggers more stress form the outside and that comes into the body, then that can be too much for you to handle, a lot of people start eating emotionally, so they are starving inside, they are locking for a satisfaction from the out side because it is just… life is become too stressful then it causes more digestive problems and then eventually they develop an illness,
Patrick Timpone: is it that, what kinds of foods can we eat if we just really need to eat something, whether emotionally or we feel like we are hungry but we are stressed is it best just not to eat anything at all?
Andreas Moritz: the best is to for example you could drink a glass of water and you might find the stress levels immediately come down because the blood chemistry is such, when you are under stress, everything tightens up in the body and the blood becomes thicker, so if you thin the blood, if you drink a glass of water it is a dialectic so immediately causes thinness of the blood you may start relaxing because of that, so you also create a dilution of the stress hormones in the blood so that is a very good thing. So overall your irritation level will go down. We now know that you can lower the blood pressure, which by the way goes up when you are under stress, you can lower the blood pressure simply by drinking a glass of water, now once you have done that and you feel a little calmer, then you can eat something.
Patrick Timpone: when we….
Andreas Moritz: if you eat something right after you are sort of angry or upset or anxious you are not going to digest it
Patrick Timpone: …are not going to do well, when we get those hunger pains, is that a good sign and is that a time when it is important for us to eat when we get that real hunger?
Andreas Moritz: if it is real hunger then definitely that is a signal that your body requires more nutrients, if you do not give those nutrients to the body, the body will start digesting itself. That can be very uncomfortable.
Patrick Timpone: we do not want that to happen
Andreas Moritz: so that is called starvation. So you do not really want to get there but if you do, if this is not a real hunger sensation it can be because your body is digesting waste products, your stomach is breaking down some waste products that have been accumulated in the pit of the stomach and when that is being attacked by the body, the body is digesting that, trying to dissolve it or break it up, then you may get gas and you may sort of burp and you feel like something is bothering you in the stomach, that is uncomfortable and that is not the real hunger that is like the body you may feel I want to eat something so I can stop this process of cleansing.
Patrick Timpone: yeah lets take this call. 888-663-63-86. With Andreas Moritz. It is a Monday night live here oneradionetwork.com. Hi what is your first name. where are you calling form?
John: John from …..
Patrick Timpone: could you speak up John?
John: yes, I have a quick question for Andreas. Good evening.
Andreas Moritz: hi John
John: Hi, I don not know if you have any theories regarding lipomas in the body?
Andreas Moritz: Yes, lipomas are basically fat deposits that the skin is trying to get rid of when the liver is not able to do that, and so most of the lipomas they would disappear once the liver bile ducts are completely cleaned out and the body can retrieve or take back or dissolve those exit substances. Basically lipomas are formed when there are certain kinds of toxins that are kept in neutral by fatty substances and when the liver is not able to remove the fat compound in the body and they are recycling, they are sort of in recirculation, for example if you eat a chicken and you would have a blood test, right after that, you would take a fair amount of blood out of your body and you would put in a little test tube, what you will find within a couple of minutes is that one third of the blood sample will have fat floating on top of it. That means one third of the whole blood sample will be fat. So a lot of the fat that people eat they think that is all going to be just fine I am going to digest it. No it is ending up in your blood stream within half an hour or forty five minutes. And that is the issue that the liver does not cope with very well because it would have to remove that from the blood stream, but it is very, very unsuccessful when there is so much fat floating about. And when the liver bile ducts are clogged up anyway, then that uptake is diminished and then the body will have to dump fat into the connective tissues where they will make their way eventually through into those skin areas and then it is just a matter of time for those things to pop out and come out through the skin. So and there are certain tiny red blood vessels that in the same process become clogged up and then it shows up as red things that are some people have then all over the body.
John: so the best rid to get rid of this then would be to flush the liver and gall bladder ?
Andreas Moritz: that is correct, the liver is primarily responsible for keeping the blood clean and healthy and balanced and the second most important thing is not to eat those kinds of food that are directly involved in clogging up the bile ducts and also turning basically fatty substances diverting them into the skin.
Patrick Timpone: have you ever done a liver flush John?
John: Yes I have. I have done one and I was just I was not sure if I needed to do more.
Andreas Moritz: yes It is good to not stop them because once you have opened up the liver bile ducts there will be stones, more stones even coming from the back parts of the liver, from the rear ends of the liver, moving forward to the frontal areas where the exiting bile ducts are. There are two major bile ducts that are found near the exit where the common bile duct is formed and these two bile ducts they can hold a lot of stones once you open them up and you release stones then immediately within two three days more stones form the rear part are traveling towards these two exiting bile ducts and they clog them up again. Sometimes even more than before. So you want to make sure that you keep cleansing the liver until no more stones are coming from the back parts of the liver coming forward, that means the liver is clean
Patrick Timpone: how often, every couple of weeks is okay?
Andreas Moritz: yes two three four weeks I usually recommend three to four weeks
Patrick Timpone: in between each one
Andreas Moritz: yes.
Patrick Timpone: but you want to stay with it then because otherwise it could be even more problems
Andreas Moritz: yes
John: one question I had Andreas to was that I did do a follow up one and I did not get as many stones from the follow up one several weeks later.
Andreas Moritz: yes there are two reasons for that usually, one is that you open the first biliary tree which is usually the one that gives in and releases stones readily, the second biliary tree does not, it tends to be more stuck, basically the stones are sitting there they are tighter, they are bigger, and they do not open up very easily, so it’s maybe that you… during the first cleanse you passed, cleared out the first biliary tree and you have not opened the second one, that means temporarily, like for one cleanse, you may not have as many stones and you find that when the second one opens you may have even more stones than the first one.
John: okay
Andreas Moritz: the second reason is that if a person does not cleanse the colon after the liver flush… you may have passed more stones but they did not come out during the colonic irrigation, that is why it is so important to do a colonic irrigation after the liver flush or a colema. If you do not know what a colema board is, you can look up at my website you can check one out, it is basically cleaning out the entire colon during the liver flush there almost every person has some stones that are not coming out after the liver flush so you want to clean out the colon so every single stone is being released.
Patrick Timpone: so you want us to do a colonic or colema one or two days after the flush.
Andreas Moritz: yes correct.
Patrick Timpone: and I have to tell you folks, I have used Andreas Moritz’s protocol out of his book and it has been the most successful one that I tried, and I tried a few of them around. And so I recommend it if you just try his instructions exactly, I think you will have good results and the best way to do it is get his book “THE AMAZING LIVER AND GALLBLADDER CLEANSE” the book
Andreas Moritz: it is called “THE AMAZING LIVER AND GALL BLADDER FLUSH“
Patrick Timpone: oh I am sorry FLUSH, the book, and I think do you have a revised version now too.
Andreas Moritz: no that is the updated one
Patrick Timpone: that is the updated version on your website. Folks can get that on ENER-CHI.com. follow those directions and I think you will have a good experience. 22 minutes after the hour, more calls. 888-663-63-86. Hi what is your first name. where are you calling form?
Jim: hi this is Jim and I am from California
Patrick Timpone: Hi Jim, go ahead you are on the air.
Jim: first of all I want to make a comment, do the hospitals and pharmaceutical companies really want us to be well ?
Andreas Moritz: Is that a comment?
Jim: that is a question and a comment
Andreas Moritz: oh that is a question, okay…
Patrick Timpone: sounded like a comment too, but that is okay.
Andreas Moritz: they are business so they are in there for the money, obviously because they have to really make the shareholders happy and they have to make a lot of money to be able to produce a lot more of those drugs if you know how big the markup is on certain drugs and the most common drugs and that is ranging between fifty thousand and three hundred thousand in some cases to six hundred thousand percent so there is a lot of money to be made. Their vested interest is only to make money, and they have already stated that on may occasions so you cannot expect they have the intentions to actually make person healthy, because if they did, if they really made people healthy they could be out of business, so it is important to understand that you do not go to people or places that are there to make sure that people do not get quite healthy, that they are only stopping the symptoms so that people are happy for a moment but they will come back, because once you have… as soon as you treat the symptom, you suppress it, you cannot heal a symptom without suppressing it, that means you have to stop it somehow at the track and drugs are designed to do that. So the very design of something that suppresses something in the body is not going to heal anyone and if you do not heal the real issue, the root cause of the problem, you are only fixing the symptom, you are bound to develop a secondary problem that is going to be worse than the previous one and that is why you have also so many side effects with these drugs because they will generate simple by suppressing one thing they are bound to destroy or destruct something else. For example pain killers, which are now becoming a leading cause of heat disease, for you may stop a pain on a regular basis because you have these reoccurring headaches for example, and then you develop a congestive heart problem, or you have like an infection, and you take an antibiotic, obviously that will clear the germs but it does not really stop the disease, because the germs were only attracted into the body because there is some contamination, there is some toxin that the body is trying to get rid of, it cannot get rid of them naturally, so it will engage bacteria. Bacteria only go into a contaminated body, they do not infect healthy cells, they can only infect unhealthy cells that are already half dead or that are not functioning very well that need to be disposed of, so just like an apple falling from the tree, you know that after a couple of days there will be bacteria on it and it will start smelling, it will start being fermented, that is the natural occurrence, so to blame the bacteria, obviously medicines as well, we kill the germs and than the person can go home not really knowing it, they know that the person has to come back eventually because there will be a re-infection, so that is why you have one thing after another and if you have an infection five, ten, twenty, times you are ready to develop far more serious illnesses such as cancer and that is why antibiotics are now becoming the leading cause of cancer.
Jim: right now you were talking about water if your blood pressure goes up to drink some water, that is, does it mean that you have a healthy and normal heart?
Andreas Moritz: the heart itself is not the issue, if you have… the heart itself is a very, very strong pump and the pipes that lead into the heart, the blood vessel, the arteries, if they get thicker if you have eaten let’s say a lot of protein, animal proteins, the protein will thicken the blood stream which puts a lot of stress on the heart by itself, then the body will try to dump the protein, dump it into the connective tissues which cause problems on the cellular level, so the body will try to convert those proteins into collagen fiber which is a fibrous form of protein and build it into the blood vessel wall, into the basement membranes of the blood vessel walls that make the blood vessel walls stiff, and so once you have stiffer blood vessel walls, the blood pressure will increase and that puts a lot of extra workload on the heart, so then the heart eventually will become tired, if you want to make sure that the heart is functional, fully functional, it is important to make changes to the diet that does not cause problems to the heart blood vessel or the coronary blood vessel.
Patrick Timpone: and what kinds of foods are you suggesting are hard on the heart and the blood pressure Andreas?
Andreas Moritz: basically all animal proteins that means chicken, fish, eggs, and any protein that is heating the body. Just the other week there was an announcement about a new study and that sent shock waves through the medical community, they do not want to acknowledge that yet, but it was shown that the consumption of meat products has cause a absolute and massive increase of blood cancers, leukemia, especially among children. And another study came out a couple of days later than that prostate cancer rises with the consumption of meat products by forty two percent. So that is a massive increase by simply eating animal proteins, so they are not just causing prostrate or blood cancers, they cause many other health problems, particularly heart problems. So congestive heart problems arose, particularly when you eat foods that are causing lymph congestion, and all those foods they are never completely digested. If you eat a chicken for example, you can only digest it up to perhaps fifteen to twenty percent if you are really, really healthy, the rest of the eighty percent cannot be digested, simply because the concentration of hydrochloric acid in the stomach is very, very, very, very low compared to carnivorous animals like a cat. So if the cat eats the chicken it can even dissolve the bones, if you eat the chicken you can only digest up to twenty percent, so you have eighty percent undigested chicken in your intestines, which will have to be decomposed and the decomposing bacteria that produce poisons they are called nitrosamines or cadaverine or putrescine, these are carcinogens, they are very, very powerful cancer producing chemicals and substances. In addition to the undigested protein or degenerated protein, the problem is that there are additives in the meat, so if you have pink meat you know that is caused by preservatives which are carcinogens and these are nitrates, and nitrates and so there are coloring the meat red or pink and that is not their natural color, the meat which looks grey or greenish, and you would not touch it, you will think something is wrong with it, so they color it and these coloring agents are extremely cancerous so we get a lot of problems because of that too. Now all of those poisons they will cause lymphatic congestion in the little part of the abdomen, that will be the first place and that will take a rounded shape that means an extension, and so the lymph system there is directly connected to the chest area thorough a tube, it is called the thoracic duct, that is the main lymph drainage duct, so, when the lymph vessel in the belly area is getting clogged up the thoracic duct gets clogged up. That one is draining the heart so if you are basically not digesting food very well you clog up the lymph system and you prevent the drainage of metabolic waste products such as lactic acid and uric acid and urea and ammonia and other acids from the heart itself that can cause a lot of problems to the heart muscles, and in addition and the eating of any of these foods, the meat products will clog up the blood vessel, the tiny capillary walls becoming thicker and thicker with these proteins so they do not nourish the heart muscles any more and the heart becomes weaker because of that as well, and in addition if there is any damage to any of the blood vessels that means there are many wounds and lesions created because of the accumulated protein, they will start accumulating cholesterol in order to patch up these wounds, cholesterol is a stress hormone as I mentioned earlier, it is responsible for healing up wounds, it is immediately going to areas where there are little lesions or wounds and will touch them up so then you have a layer of cholesterol building inside the artery wall in addition to the external sort of the external protein layers building up there, stiffening the blood vessel, so you damage the blood vessel internally, externally and if there is a blood clot coming out of one of those wall you have a heart attack or stroke, now that is perfectly preventable.
Jim: so what about your, how important is the pH in the body?
Andreas Moritz: the pH?
Jim: yeah
Andreas Moritz: the pH is different in different parts of the body, you have a different one in your mouth and your small intestine and your large intestine, in your liver, and different organs, and so it is important to have acid areas and alkaline areas. Now for example, you can disturb the acid alkaline balance immediately by eating or with combining certain foods, for example if you eat a chicken which requires an acid environment, that means you have to produce pectin hydrochloric acid to digest the chicken, and then you eat some starch food, like potatoes or rice or some bread with it that requires an alkaline environment, so you cannot digest either of them because you are now creating complete confusion within the stomach itself, and then you cancel out these digestive secretions and neither of the foods will be digested, and hence you will get a lot of unfermented food that means it will start decomposing, produce gases and creating toxins, and the meat will be putrefied and you produce nitrosamines and other contaminants, so all of that will enter the lymphatic system and clog up your colon which may then backwash some of the waste into the upper part of the body which then clogs up perhaps your throat area, you may start getting tooth decay, you may start getting bad breath, your ear ducts may get clogged up, you do not hear as well anymore or then go into the eye sockets, they start putting pressure and a lot of fluid and a lot of stagnated substances and toxins which will sit behind the eyes and they can cause eye problems, or they go up into the hair follicles and then the hair will fall out, so there are many, many different problems that can arise simply because you did not digest your food well or you ate food that were not really supportive of your body.
Patrick Timpone: Andreas in an ongoing basis if we are testing of urine ph, for example people want to get 6.5 to 7.0, is it really realistic to stay in that range and is it optimal?
Andreas Moritz: no if you try to take certain things, that will immediately get your ph into an alkaline level of the urine then what you will develop is kidney stones. So you need an acid urine, do not try to manipulate that so it is important to use food as the regulatory mechanism.
Patrick Timpone: so the ph is going to go up and down then ?
Andreas Moritz: oh absolutely, yes, there are natural fluctuations in them, sometimes you have to excrete more minerals because you have and excess of them and sometimes you do not. And so that is, that will change the ph of your urine. So in the early, like 25 years ago, I was hooked to the idea, well let’s see if you bring your urine back to the alkaline level, then that will show that the rest of the body is becoming alkaline and then once we have more alkaline then the rest of the body functions better. I had to give up on that.
Patrick Timpone: we are finding that more and more we have been talking to people and just make sense and try to keep it up in that alkaline range, it does not seem normal.
Andreas Moritz: no, it is not we do need both types of food but there are some extreme acid forming foods that are robbing our body of minerals and so these are cadaver foods that means dead animals that cannot be brought back to life when you cook them, when you heat them, they coagulate, they basically destroy the three dimensional structure of the protein and that is very, very very hard on the body
Patrick Timpone: and the condition of those meats that are sold today ninety five percent of them they should not be there, there are others that the best food and by the time they get to there market…
Andreas Moritz: again even if it is organic and free range, it is still dead. There is still not enough hydrochloric acid in the human stomach to digest them. We are not cats, well fortunately, carnivorous animals sleep between 18 and 20 up to 22 hours. So if you look at, lived in Africa and observed cats, the big cats, the lion for example, they sleep from easily 22 hours a day so they are not active animals, they only live for procreation, keeping their ecological balance and keep themselves packed full with blood food, it will sit in their stomach, but it is eaten fresh basically, almost alive.
Patrick Timpone: oh sure
Andreas Moritz: and they have a completely different stomach where the secretions are absolutely so concentrated that if we had that, we would say well ours is watered down, it is literally diluted to only about 20 percent of that of a carnivorous animal. So if we eat the same animal foods, then our body will basically have to deal with the burden of most of it being undigested and unfortunately some of the protein will end up in your blood stream almost right away.
Jim: one question
Patrick Timpone: yeah go ahead
Jim: yeah I have been reading a little bit about fluoride and aspartame that they are supposed to kill, all additives that they put into our water and food?
Patrick Timpone: okay yeah john we just did a show on those, Andreas, and boy, they are both of those are not good substances, are they, Andreas?
Andreas Moritz: no these, the aspartame, that is why coca-cola is trying to get out of that because there are many too many lawsuits coming at them because they have known it for all along that aspartame is a one of the most deadly brain destroying substances around and it has been obviously kept secret or has been, the FDA has been involved in making sure that people no longer know or can do anything about this destructiveness of that, those kinds of chemicals, but there are so many out there, just the pharmaceutical industry is pouring enormous amounts of outdated drugs that can no longer be put in the market because they have basically they are outdated…
Patrick Timpone: yeah
Andreas Moritz: …and no longer working. So they put them into the water supply, so you are literally drinking from… drugs you are drinking drugs dissolved in the water
Patrick Timpone: here is an email from Gerry. Gerry is in somewhere in California saying I am enjoying the show thank you for being on, Andreas and Patrick, and I have a hypo thyroid and Andreas it is epidemic the amount of emails and calls we get about low thyroid in this country, what is your opinion, why it is such a rampant problem and what kind of things can folks do dietary wise to boost the thyroid?
Andreas Moritz: there can be many, many different causes of hypo thyroidism. But the most common is lymph drainage problems
Patrick Timpone: lymph
Andreas Moritz: yes because when you look at a person who is having hypo thyroid, if you look at the belly area, you will find there is a protrusion, there is an enlargement, there is some lymph congestion, they may even feel when they touch in the belly button area, there is an area of hardness or tightness, and so this is called lymphedema and that is in the so called cisterna chyli vessel, that is the main lymph drainage center of the body and it is draining the metabolic waste products from all the organs, from the rib cage down including the reproductive organs, the liver, spleen, stomach, pancreas, the liver, small intestine, large intestine, the legs and the testicles in the men, and the prostrate, and in women the uterus and the ovaries, so everything from the rib cage down has to go through that lymph center, and if your food is not digested well and you add more toxins to that area then the lymph vessels, cisterna chyli vessels become overtaxed, in order to neutralize some of the toxins it falls on the lymph fluid and that becomes harder, that means it becomes odemic. So the major lymph drainage duct that runs from here, from the middle part of the abdomen all the way up to your throat it is called the thoracic duct and the thoracic duct drains the thyroid. So if you are having lymph congestion into the belly area, then the thoracic duct gets clogged out too and the lymph drainage form the thyroid that tries to get rid of all the daily produced metabolic waste products such as urea, ammonia, uric acid or lactic acid and so on, they go straight back in the thyroid, so the thyroid is actually suffocating in its own waste, and it can start becoming little bigger and can get enlarged because of that problem, and then the thyroid hormone starts going out of balance.
Patrick Timpone: very interesting, and some foods or some things we can do to get a boost up again?
Andreas Moritz: well a lot of people are taking recourse to iodine and those kelp food or some other supplements. Ideally it is best not to, but once you have progressed to a certain level and then you may want to take recourse to that, but the foods that are always highly stimulating, that are stimulating the insulin secretion are the meat foods, they are the greatest insulin stimulants, so anything that is over stimulating the body can eventually cause those gastrointestinal problems. Now one thing that we have not mentioned is that the thyroid is controlled by melatonin mostly. Melatonin is a very powerful brain hormone that is secreted in the evening around nine thirty provided your eyes are shut, you do not see any light that means there is no light shining on your skin or on your eyes, and you are going to sleep, so when you make melatonin, that melatonin literally regulates these thyroid functions and the thyroid controls all the other endocrine organs so it is a very, very powerful sequence of effect. So the boss is not the thyroid, the melatonin is the boss of the thyroid. So you want to make sure that your sleep cycle is such that you sleep before ten o clock, so that you make enough melatonin so that your thyroid can function at a normal level.
Patrick Timpone: and we need to be in bed by ten to make the melatonin?
Andreas Moritz: yes
Patrick Timpone: is that right?
Andreas Moritz: yes if you go to bed by eleven, because the peak secretions of melatonin are around midnight one o’clock, so if you go to bed by eleven or eleven thirty you only make about half of the melatonin that your body is supposed to make and that is not good enough to keep the thyroid functioning, plus your body needs a lot of, give up a lot of blood to the liver and the liver works between ten and two more than any other time of night, and so the liver like a sponge, it is filling up with an enormous amount of blood and it gets the blood from the back of the brain and gets it from the digestive system and from the muscles and from the bones so you do not need the blood there you need it in the liver, so that the liver can work with it and if you are not doing that, you create blood problems which can again interfere with the thyroid. A lot of toxins get caught in the thyroid tissue if you are not removing the toxins from the blood
Patrick Timpone: so that is why it is a good idea to try to have your evening meal no later than about six or so you have a chance to digest it
Andreas Moritz: and to have the lightest meal in the evening because otherwise your body is struggling to try to get rid of that undigested food because its digestive ability is only about ten fifteen percent than what it is at lunch time. So if you have a meal in the evening it is bothering your stomach and your intestines and the body will eventually try to get as much blood as there is possible to get rid of the undigested food
Patrick Timpone: so we actually have less hydrochloric acid in the night than we do during the day
Andreas Moritz: oh yes
Patrick Timpone: oh really
Andreas Moritz: there is hardly anything going on in the digestive system because again the body needs the blood in the liver, it does not, it is not supposed to be on a high stimuli, you need stimulation to digest food so if you eat a lot of food at night then you divert the energy and the resources and the blood from the most important organ in the body, the liver, the biggest factory in the body, the liver, and then the liver cannot do its five hundred different jobs.
Patrick Timpone: here is an email from Bill… please ask Andreas about the benefits of using betaine hydrochloric acid to boost up the digestive acid when eating meat or digestive enzymes.
Andreas Moritz: the problem is once you start using crutches like that, you will become dependent on them, the other problem is when you introduce a lot of hydrochloric acid and you do not have enough bile coming out of your liver, then the hydrochloric acid can literally damage your lower intestines, you know hydrochloric acid is very caustic it can burn holes into your intestines you can get a leaky gut literally. So I would not advice to take just one thing like this because yes, it makes sense if you want to eat meat, add more hydrochloric acid, and but the problem is that you will have more disturbances in the lower intestines, you do not win by adding one thing or another, many people take digestive enzymes, it is very, very popular now, so while using the enzymes to digest the food, the issue again is that you are missing out on the bile, now the reason why people do not digest food well anymore is because there is not enough bile coming out of the bile ducts in the liver, they are clogged up and the intra-hepatic gallstones block the bile flow; instead of making one and a half quarts of bile per day, which we are supposed to, many people make a cupful and that is not good enough to stimulate the secretion of hydrochloric acid in the stomach which bile is responsible for, there is a feedback mechanism how much bile is coming out, that is how much hydrochloric acid will collaborate with the secreted bile.
Patrick Timpone: so the bile is what makes the hydrochloric acid do its thing?
Andreas Moritz: yes so if you make less bile, it is a disadvantage to make too much hydrochloric acid because it will cause problems to your intestine, you will start digesting them, so your body is very, very controlling of making sure one thing does not work well, the body will curb back on another one as well to protect you. It is not that many people say well I am aging, I am going older, I make less hydrochloric acid, I need a supplement. That is not really how it works, you look at what is blocked in the body because there are people that are a hundred years old they have perfect digestion, they do not have, they never had, any health problems, they never saw a doctor. I just saw a recent show on that centenarians, they are riding horses and they are in the field and they are working, they never use eye glasses, they do not have any vision problems or hearing problems they are laughing all the time, they are very happy so what is aging really? Aging is accumulated toxins, waste products, bile ducts getting clogged up, and the blood vessel walls getting thicker and thicker, the lymph system being clogged out, people put on weight because of that, first in the waist area and then the rest of the body ,as the lymph is not drained from other parts of the body as well, so all those different issues they are related to gastrointestinal disturbances which can be rectified, cleaning the body, cleaning the main organs of elimination the liver, kidney and the large intestines, and changing diet to the point that the body is actually happy to digest these foods and capable of digesting these foods, taking the main meal at lunch time instead of the evening, that will get rid of a lot of undigested food, you will have much better digestion and the assimilation of those nutrients and in the same stroke you will have probably have normal levels of hydrochloric acid, many people have heart burn when they eat a heavy evening meal, it is natural to have heart burn if you have a heavy evening meal because there is naturally less hydrochloric acid in the evening.
Patrick Timpone: yeah now you.. obviously after listening to you for some other shows and this one. Andreas Moritz, or an advocate of a vegetarian diet, are there some tricks that people that are going to be vegetarians need to be or some certain steps that they should add to the regimen to ensure they are getting everything that they need to get?
Andreas Moritz: there I have written a book, it is pretty comprehensive, it is about 550 pages, it is called “TIMELESS SECRETS OF HEALTH AND REJUVENATION” and chapter six in that book is a really answering that question so well because there is so many different things that need to be considered like your body type. There are different body types there are the thin body types that move very quickly, that talk very quickly, they have dry skin, they have very thin bones and then there are heavy body types, that means the muscular ones, the ones that have lot of connective tissues lot of fluid in the body, a lot of oily skin and so very, very shiny skin, and so, there are a very different body type, then there is the pitta types who can be recognized by their red hair, for example in Caucasian white people, so red hair, very fair skin, reddish skin, so each person digests food in a different way, so not all food is good for everyone, each person requires sort of some differences, if you give the red hot pitta type a lot of chilly peppers to eat, he will go out of balance in no time, you want to give cooling foods to that person, whereas you want to give a vata type who always feels cold if he is unbalanced, cold hands, cold feet even in the summer, you want to give them the warming foods or heating foods that means foods that have heating qualities, it does not necessarily mean the temperature, but there are certain foods that have cooling effects, that calm down the heat or increase the heat. So it is important to know a little bit that there are foods that have different effects on different people and that will make a big difference to one’s health. Whereas if you eat like everything there is no animal on the planet that can eat everything…
Patrick Timpone: yeah you just eat whatever you want. What about the juicing and fasting, folks do a lot about that, do you think that it as good for us to really not eat any food for a certain period of time, a week or so?
Andreas Moritz: there is one body type that can afford it that is the kapha body type, with the other body type it is a little bit dodgy.
Patrick Timpone: kapha is the more heavy and thick, something like that…
Andreas Moritz: yeah now if you have a vata type, the thin body type, they are like typically like those that are walking down the.. sort of… the runway models, in the moving fast, very, very agile and looking good in clothes that is why they are chosen. Now if you give, if you have that vata type fast you can get it really out of balance because the vata type makes the least amount of bile, when you do not eat food when you just fast on fluid without fat, they need a lot of fat in their diet, if they do not get it, their bile is drying out in the gallbladder, to get the gallbladder running again when it has dried its bile out during the fasting, that is a difficult job now, the kapha, they contain a lot more bile, their gallbladder is a lot more bigger so they keep it there and they have a lot more moisture in the body than the vata types so again you can have a kapha body type and it will probably be good for them to skip a meal or skip a day, not eat anything, just the fluids. Then the vata type and the pitta types they get very nervous if you do not give them the food, they get angry.
Patrick Timpone: yeah, yeah. What about a lot of folks have a hard time with complex carbohydrates, even with rice and potatoes and things like that, where they just they go up and down, and it is a blood sugar thing, what is out of whack there where they cannot eat these kinds of carbohydrates?
Andreas Moritz: well usually this is because they are eating lots of protein, so then the carbohydrates get fermented and they just do not get digested and the other thing is if you have been not digesting food very well, if you are not making enough bile to digest carbohydrates, you need to have fat, if there is not fat in the carbohydrates let’s say rice or potatoes, then that food will run into the small intestine in record time undigested, so when you have the fat in that food that you are having enough bile coming out of your live,r then you do not digest the fat and therefore you do not digest the carbohydrates, and that is why you have digestive problems in that respect as well, so again it goes back to the liver
Patrick Timpone: so you suggest eating what we want to have, fat with carbohydrates?
Andreas Moritz: oh absolutely
Patrick Timpone: what kind of fat with rice, butter maybe
Andreas Moritz: yeah oils like olive oil, coconut oil, ghee, butter, unsalted butter is better than salted butter, there is palm oil, coconut oil, yeah, so cold pressed oils, that means natural oils but in the evening it is better to avoid oils so butter and ghee is better
Patrick Timpone: I see so that is easier than the olive oil or something
Andreas Moritz: oil takes a long time to leave the stomach so you want to have something, the food, like a vegetable soup with some butter or ghee in it or maybe a bread with some butter on it. that is a light evening meal, that will be digested fairly quickly and then you sleep like a baby.
Patrick Timpone: what about castor oil, necessary?
Andreas Moritz: castor oil is a laxative
Patrick Timpone: I mean, I am sorry, not castor oil, cod liver oil
Andreas Moritz: what, cod liver oil?
Patrick Timpone: cod liver oil, yes
Andreas Moritz: cod liver oil it has vitamin A in it and recently it was found that cod liver oil, because of… it is high in vitamin A, causes liver damage. So you do not want to, it is a poison and it acts like a poison, so you do not want to go near cod liver oil. It is been disputed, its beneficial effects, so recently some serious incidents of death, the chance of dying increase by sixteen percent when you take vitamin A
Patrick Timpone: so the liver does not like cod liver oil at all.
Andreas Moritz: no. when you think of liver, liver is an organ that is trapping or talking out poisons harmful substance, noxious substances and, if you take let’s say, and that applies to all animals, because it is the detoxifying organ in all animals, so if you take the substance, some part of the liver, or substance that is formed by the liver like cod liver oil, then it is toxin to the body because of its vitamin A , vitamin A should not be taken as a vitamin, it should be formed, allow the body to form it, from keratin, things like vegetables, carrot or green leafy vegetables or colored vegetables, so these are, that is where the liver will make its own vitamin A and it should be left to the liver. If you introduce vitamin A as in cod liver in high concentrations, you are creating an imbalance, you may interfere with the vitamin D production as well.
Patrick Timpone: what about flax, hemp, those kinds of oils?
Andreas Moritz: hemp oil is great, if you had the distilled hemp oil you would actually be able to cure cancer within a couple of weeks.
Patrick Timpone: distilled?
Andreas Moritz: yes but it is illegal. It is from marijuana. So it the oil, like the essential oil from the hemp
Patrick Timpone: oh I have never even heard of that distilled
Andreas Moritz: yeah it is from the hemp plant. Hope one day it will be legalized and then this remedy will become popular
Patrick Timpone: what does that do to the body for cancer, how does that fit in?
Andreas Moritz: it will basically dissolve tumors, it literally breaks them up.
Patrick Timpone: distilled hemp oil!
Andreas Moritz: yeah the real hemp oil, not the hemp oil that is from the hemp nut
Patrick Timpone: oh, this is, where is it from?
Andreas Moritz: from the hemp plant which is marijuana.
Patrick Timpone: oh marijuana, I see, could that be the reason why that hence so much trouble into marijuana
Andreas Moritz: exactly
Patrick Timpone: never heard that before
Andreas Moritz: yes, yes.
Patrick Timpone: I’ll be darned! So they actually make oil from that marijuana plant the one with THC
Andreas Moritz: right, they fill it out of the plant and so it leaves that oil, is like an essential oil, you do not need very much, but that can virtually clear out any cancer in the body.
Patrick Timpone: wow! And do they do that in some parts of the world, do they use it?
Andreas Moritz: oh there are some people that do it illegally
Patrick Timpone: yeah, yeah.
Andreas Moritz: of course in the Netherlands and inside Switzerland you can have access to marijuana, yeah, so yeah, you can smell that there are certain places, it is public, you are allowed, it is legalized and it is used as medicine more and more so there is so much medicine in these things that have been forbidden there is much more damage of course from smoking cigarettes that have been polluted or have been chemicalized, so there are hundred and ten deadly chemicals in cigarettes. Now the tobacco plant is a healing plant.
Patrick Timpone: yes I have heard that.
Andreas Moritz: they were used like the Indians used it, the native Americans used to use them, you could heal a lot of health problems but they again they basically turned it into something terrible.
Patrick Timpone: where do you think it is going with the freedoms of the health in health in this country? Do you see some things that you are real concerned about?
Andreas Moritz: the health is going down the drain because there are legislations introduced and more and more that will out phase the access to natural remedies and due to codex you have probably talked about that making, trying to make sure, when I speak to people in another countries, I get people calling me from all over the world and the European countries like Norway is completely codexcised,
Patrick Timpone: is it really?
Andreas Moritz: so you cannot get natural things, in Germany very difficult to get natural products, and vitamins can no longer be received in higher doses so…
Patrick Timpone: really! Really!
Andreas Moritz: yeah so you have to get a doctor to prescribe them and the same attempt is being done here, so you will find more and more FDA coming down on people that are making a statements that certain things are have a positive value especially if they have been, if there is evidence by scientific research that substantiates that for example cherries, there is a study to show…
Patrick Timpone: sure
Andreas Moritz: that cherries have oxide so you are not allowed to state that, if you as soon as you state that on a website you are saying cherry extract has been shown to be very beneficial for arthritis, if you do the FDA is going to find out, they are going to shut down your website because you are not allowed to say that, because it will turn cherry into a drug, only drugs can heal.
Patrick Timpone: so it is
Andreas Moritz: foods are not allowed to heal and as soon as you say a food that heals it is a drug and it is illegal
Patrick Timpone: it seems to me that then well, it is all going to go, we are all going to have to learn by necessity the mother of invention, to use those food to heal because that is that only thing that we are going to get probably.
Andreas Moritz: food will still… when they are contaminating, they are trying to contaminate the food as well of course
Patrick Timpone: it is tough, yeah.
Andreas Moritz: so the, but there will be an end to that because the whole economic system the way it is running right now is collapsing very fast
Patrick Timpone: it sure is
Andreas Moritz: and with it will be the collapse of the medical industry so you will sees a lot of changes in that respect that people will be forced to go back to the backyard and grow their own things again and become self sufficient and then have a different type of economy growing out of this that will be supporting that, people support one another not take from one another.
Patrick Timpone: so you see that coming?
Andreas Moritz: oh big time
Patrick Timpone: yeah I think so too and
Andreas Moritz: and fast
Patrick Timpone: it is happening fast we are going to do tomorrow night about the home studying and the gardening, tomorrow night at eight o’clock. Andreas, it is always fun having you here, thanks
Andreas Moritz: thank you
Patrick Timpone: for spending some time with us
Andreas Moritz: sure
Patrick Timpone: once again your website is ENER-CHI.com with a dash in there right?
Andreas Moritz: yes
Patrick Timpone: yes with a dash in there and you have all your stuff and you got some cool products and people can do consultation and books and
Andreas Moritz: yes
Patrick Timpone: alright so please stay out of trouble and if you need something you let us know, will you?
Andreas Moritz: okay, thank you so much
Patrick Timpone: Andreas so much
Andreas Moritz: bye, bye.
Patrick Timpone: Andreas Moritz, ENER-CHI.com. lot of books there too. you can really go up and get the whole story. Any he mentioned the one about the vegetarian diet which one was in “SIMPLE STEPS TO TOTAL HEALTH” he has got a whole book I think does in chapter six for you vegetarians and you want to just really kind of check that one and make sure you get in everything that you really need. We are going to see you tomorrow night and talk about the constitution because it is a brave new world out there. Grains are Not Easy to Digest
Grains are not easy to digest
This is a question with regard to diet, the question goes like that “I was wondering what your opinion is on eating grains and seeds and I read somewhere that it says we cannot break open the cellular structure of insoluble fiber through chewing and the three hours of our digestive process in the stomach making the nutrients in the grains and seeds completely unavailable to us. Since this is so, eating grain requires excessive insulin in the effort of digestion which creates a very high acid environment. As we are told to eat them, I was curious as to whether it was right? Many thanks “
I have written about them extensively in my book “TIMELESS SECRETS OF HEALTH AND REJUVENATION” but let me summarize it in this way. Grains are, in fact, not easy to digest, give them to cows which is common practice nowadays, you see what happens, they look like nine months pregnant… very, very large, bloated and they get ill very, very quickly. So giving humans too many grains to eat, you can expect there is a lot of fermentation as a result of not completely digesting these grains. Particularly if they are whole wheat grains, so, that means entire seeds.
You go to some bakeries and you see like seven grain or seven seed breads wherein they pack in every seed you can think of that can be used for baking breads, now that is almost an impossibility, you look at birds, birds have a goiter and a goiter is used to keep seeds, to be there for long, long time, to allow them to swell, to become expended and to ferment… that means to allow bacteria to digest those seeds or grains in the goiter. Now, we do not have that goiter, everything moves right into the stomach and you are absolutely right, if the grains are eaten and you do not masticate properly, on top of it, it is very hard to digest them quickly and if they are not digested quickly it can lead to fermentation, later on you can attract a lot of Candida bacteria that finish up the job of fermentation and that can create toxins and a lot of irritation, gas, bloatedness and them some of the toxins end up going in the blood stream and can make you feel unwell even in the head, your thinking is not clear, your memory recall may suffer or you are just not happy. So, a lot of that is true, so what do you do about it?
Well, if you soak the grains and the seeds before you cook them or use them then, you are basically helping to predigest them, so that is a practice that has been one on this planet for a long time. So if for example, if you eat pumpkin seeds, which can be extremely beneficial for many conditions, like for men prostate, and have many, many nutrients good for the brain and have certain fats in them, good for the joints, so there are many benefits from it, however, if you eat it in a raw form when you have not soaked it, you may not digest much of it and therefore it becomes just wasted money and it can also leave these foods undigested and create more digestive problems and bloating.
So I do recommend to soak grains and seeds before you cook them and not to have the heaviest seeds, something just does not cook, even long cooking will not break them down, you know that your body will not break it down especially if you eat it in a raw form which is virtually impossible to make use of those kinds of foods. So many people believe that eating whole grains, whole wheat food is a lot better than if you strip parts from the grain and eat it in its more refined manner, and, I can tell you that it depends on the body type.
There are some people who can break them down more easily… the whole grains… than the body types that have a slow metabolism. Hyper metabolic people they are called the Vatas, which is described in the book “TIMELESS SECRETS OF HEALTH AND REJUVENATION“, they have a better handle on those kinds of whole grainy type foods where as the opposite body type the Kapha type stands no chance with their slow, low metabolism, they have no ability to break down these sort of tight and dense structures of grains and seeds, some of them, they may not benefit from those kinds of foods anyway, they prefer to have more light foods that are not heavy in texture, light grains, like barley is a great one for them, they can easily digest it whereas, the Vata body type does not do very well with barley for example, it is too light for them, they need heavier structures.
So again it depends on who you are, what body type you have, that will determine whether you are more prone to not digesting them or you are more likely able to digest those kinds of foods, but overall, I recommend to make sure that the seeds are soaked in water, ideally twenty-four hours before taking them that includes sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, any of that kind and grain foods just as much. Rice, I recommend as basmati rice, it does not need much soaking beforehand, but half an hour before is good enough or two hours or six hours before cooking makes it very well cook, it is very easy to cook, it cooks in no time when you soak them beforehand.
Hope that answers your question and bon appétit.

One Can Avoid Taking Digestive Enzymes
One can avoid taking digestive enzymes
Hi, this is a very common question and it relates to digestive enzymes. The question is, shall I take digestive enzymes because my naturopathic doctor is recommending I do.
Now I have a different perspective on taking digestive enzymes. Ideally it is best to set the preconditions for your digestive system to function without the help of additional digestive enzymes before you take recourse to such measures, and I definitely will recommend that you improve the digestive function through cleaning out the liver bile ducts which will allow more bile to come through into the small intestine that will help you digest your food much more effectively than if you just took digestive enzymes.
The digestive system is a very, very complex system and it is linked up not just to the organ the small intestine, which is the primary place where the digestion is completed and where stimulation of nutrients occur but, the stomach obviously which produces hydrochloric acid and other secretions in order to digest the food or pre digest it, but the digestion begins in the mouth. We literally produce digestive enzymes when we masticate the food just by keeping it in the mouth and chewing on it, the salivary glands will produce digestive enzymes.
Now many people do not do that very well and they swallow the food after chewing on it like two three four times and it goes down into the stomach. And what that does is that it prevents the actual digestion of the food in the stomach and this can lead to digestive problems later on in the small intestine and create fermentation or putrefaction in the large intestine. So by neglecting this sometimes, most people do not consider it to be a very important part of the digestive function which is the mastication, the chewing, swishing the food around the mouth so that it is saturated with digestive enzymes because that takes care of about eighty percent of the enzyme needs to prepare the digestive process in the stomach.
Eighty percent of all carbohydrates require the digestive enzymes contained in the saliva. So if you bypass this function, you will have a lot of undigested carbohydrates that linger in your small intestine and will start to decompose where they will attract a lot of Candida bacteria which will complete the digestive process, which is in this case called fermentation, and however, the fermenting bacteria, the yeast bacteria will produce toxins which can create a great deal of irritation, and as these toxins get absorbed in the blood stream it can cause brain fog, it can cause skin problems, it can cause hair problems, it can cause all kinds of inflammatory responses in the body because of not chewing the food properly.
So before you take recourse to digestive enzymes, that in my opinion is like learning how to walk on crutches when you could really rely on your own feet and the legs to do a better job, even then you are basically making yourself weaker in the long term. Taking digestive enzymes can also make the body produce less of its own enzymes, it is almost like you tell the body I have enough enzymes here coming through, I do not have to produce more of any on my own, and so this can weaken the digestive processes in the long term.
The other thing is that you never quite know how much of digestive enzymes are needed to digest a particular type of food. Sometimes you eat more of other foods that do not require them and then you have a surplus of them which again can be wasted, on one hand, you are wasting enzymes that are not used or you are confusing the body.
So it is better to set the pre-conditions, cleaning out the liver, taking care of the diet, eating foods that are actually… that contain a lot of enzymes themselves, not dead foods or processed foods that have a very little life force in them, where the body is not eager to secrete precious enzymes to digest them because it knows that that food is useless, anyway. So eating foods that are really natural, will stimulate the body’s digestive enzymes whereas, foods that are dead and already decomposed, like meat, even though it may look good, it is not, it is already dead, so it is a cadaver food, the body recognizes that and it will be very, very cautious in secreting digestive juices in order to digest those types of foods.
So again, work with nature, work with the food first. Cleaning out the liver and eating foods when you can actually digest them, if you eat a heavy meal in the evening time, it is not going to get digested properly because naturally during that time of the evening the digestive secretions are very small, often only ten to fifteen percent of what they would be at lunch time, so, eat your main meal at lunch time, you will have plenty of enzymes to play with, and have less food in the morning when enzyme production is less, and in the evening when it is less as well.
So I hope that this helps answer your question.

Liver Flush for Healing Candidiasis
Liver Flush for healing Candidiasis
This is a question from Sonia and she is asking whether it is ok to do liver flushes if you have severe candidiasis
Candida overgrowth is usually precipitated by the absence of bile. If there is not enough bile running through the gastro-intestinal tract then, this leads to the proliferation of Candida bacteria. Candida yeast growth is very high in people who have a lot of stones inhibiting the bile secretion from the liver and I can only recommend that you do a series of liver flushes until all the stones are gone to help improve the issue with Candida overgrowth.
Once again when there is bile present, enough bile present, in the small and large intestine, that is when bacteria that are of the destructive kind, the fermenting kind, retreat to a population size that is adequate for the body. We do not want to root out Candida bacteria for they are essential for our health and they are partly helping with our immunity and so, you do not want to get rid of them, you do not want to kill them or destroy them to a level where they have diminished all together. And to be honest, it is virtually impossible unless of course if you fly in outer space where all bacteria die off.
So, I would suggest that do the liver flushes but make sure to also follow a diet and lifestyle that is very conducive to digesting your food properly without creating the need for fermenting bacteria to finish off the job that your digestive system has not been able to complete. In other words, make sure you eat your biggest meal of the day at the time when you can digest it best and that would be at midday when the sun is at the highest position.
We know that the very powerful hormone, serotonin, which is produced largely in the intestinal track, eight-five percent of it is made in the intestines and only ten percent or so is made in the brain and the rest of it is made in the blood, that really means that, the serotonin which is very high during midday when the sun is at the highest position, that is when your digestive abilities are also the strongest, that means you have the maximum secretion of bile and digestive enzymes, pancreatic juices available, hydrochloric acid as well, available to digest your food successfully… which means that you have less waste to dispose of. When there is too much waste… indigestible food sitting there… then you are literally inviting a host of different destructive bacteria that will then finish off the job that you could not do. So there is a obviously the matter of eating heavy meals in the evening, late in the evening as well, which leaves a large portion of the food undigested which then becomes subject to decomposition. So you want to avoid that.
Do not eat your evening meal later than six thirty or seven pm, so that you have very little undigested food sitting there during the night time, while you sleep, when the processing is very, very limited of those foods or waste products… So, as well, you want to have a light evening meal like vegetable soup and perhaps some bread and butter on it, so nothing heavy, solid, consisting of a lot of proteins which can again lead to proliferation of Candida bacteria. Even though protein is not sugar and we know that sugar can lead to an increase of yeast growth, but when you have any kind of undigested food sitting in the intestines, it creates a terrain of high acidity, when other foods enter that part of the intestines they decompose very quickly so, they are not digested properly in such an acidic environment.
So you want to avoid eating foods that are high in protein content because they are harder to digest, if you eat a steak, for example, at lunch time, it can digest only up to twenty percent of that, so that leaves about eighty percent of of it undigested which can change the terrain in the intestine from alkaline to acidic. Also when you eat the same steak, let’s say, in the evening, you do not even digest two or three percent of it so it becomes progressively worse the later in the day you eat such heavy foods.
So there are a lot of things you can do to minimize the occurrence of Candida overgrowth, but, cleaning out the liver bile ducts is definitely one of the best things you can do, so that you have a steady flow of bile which is the body’s natural laxative and the body’s natural inhibitor of Candida overgrowth.

Disorders of the Intestines
This, in turn, restrains the small intestine from properly absorbing the nutrient components of these foods (e.g., monosaccharides from carbohydrates, amino acids from protein, and fatty acids and glycerol from fats).
These cells form an essential part of all the organs, blood vessels, lymph vessels, etc., in the body.

Disorders of the Gallbladder and Bile Ducts
By Andreas Moritz
The liver secretes bile, which passes via the two hepatic ducts into the common hepatic duct. The common hepatic duct runs for 1.5 inches before being joined by the cystic duct coming from the gallbladder. Before bile continues its journey through the common bile duct into the intestinal tract, it must flow into the gallbladder.
The gallbladder is a pear-shaped pouch that protrudes from the bile duct. It is attached to the posterior side of the liver (see Figure 1).
A normal gallbladder generally holds about two fluid ounces of bile. The bile in the gallbladder, however, is not in the same form as it was when it left the liver. In the gallbladder there is such a great active reabsorption of salt and water that the volume of bile is reduced to only one tenth of its original quantity. Bile salts are not absorbed, which means, their concentration is increased by about ten times. However, mucus is added to the bile, which turns it into a thick mucus-like material. Its high concentration makes bile the powerful digestive fluid it is.
The muscular walls of the gallbladder contract and eject bile when acid food and protein products enter the duodenum from the stomach. A more marked activity is noted if food entering the duodenum contains a high proportion of fat. The bile salts in the bile are used to emulsify the fat and facilitate its digestion. Once the bile salts have done their job and left the emulsified fat for intestinal absorption, they travel on down the intestine. Most of the bile salts are reabsorbed in the final section of the small intestine and carried back to the liver. There it is collected again in the bile and secreted into the duodenum. (Note: Intestinal congestion sharply reduces the amount of bile salts needed for proper bile production and fat digestion.)
Figure 1: Location of the gallbladderGallstones may be primarily made of cholesterol or calcium or pigments such as bilirubin. Cholesterol is the most common constitution, but many of the stones are of mixed composition. Besides cholesterol, calcium and bile pigments, they may contain bile salts, water and mucus, as well as toxins, bacteria and, sometimes, dead parasites. Typically, stones within the gallbladder grow in size for about eight years before noticeable symptoms begin to occur. Larger stones are generally calcified and can be detected easily through radiological means, or by using ultrasonography. Eighty five percent of gallstones found in the gallbladder measure about 3/4 inch (2 centimeters) across (see Figure 2a), although some can become as large as 2-3 inches (6 centimeters) across (see Figures 2b and 2c of a calcified gallstone I personally examined and photographed moments after it was painlessly released by a client during her 9th liver cleanse; the stone emitted an extremely noxious odor). They are formed when, due to reasons explained in The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush, bile in the gallbladder becomes too saturated, and its unabsorbed constituents begin to harden.
If a gallstone does slip out of the gallbladder and becomes impacted in the cystic bile duct or common bile duct, there is very strong spasmodic contraction of the wall of the duct. The contraction helps to move the stone onwards. This causes severe pain known as biliary colic and is accompanied by considerable distension of the gallbladder. If the gallbladder is packed with gallstones, it also goes into extremely painful spasmodic muscle contractions.
Figure 2a: Gallstones in a dissected gallbladderGallstones can cause irritation and inflammation of the lining of the gallbladder, as well as the cystic and common bile ducts. This condition is known as cholecystitis. There may also be superimposed microbial infection. Ulceration of the tissues between the gallbladder and the duodenum or colon, with fistula formation and fibrous adhesions, is not uncommon. Gallbladder disease generally originates in the liver. When liver lobules become structurally distorted due to presence of gallstones and, eventually, fibrous tissue, venous blood pressure starts to rise in the portal vein. This, in turn, increases the blood pressure in the cystic vein that drains venous blood from the gallbladder into the portal vein. The incomplete elimination of waste products through the cystic duct causes a backup of acidic waste in the gallbladder tissue. This gradually reduces the performance of the gallbladder. The formation of gallstones is just a matter of time.
