These toothbrushes are very effective. They are not only recommended, but also now prescribed by dental practitioners for their effectiveness in reducing the risk of periodontal disease and gingivitis. Ionic action breaks down plaque on a molecular level, reduces bacteria and biofilm levels in the mouth, can remove stains, such as coffee and tobacco, rejuvenates and stimulates the gingival tissues, and reduces bad breath and morning breath.
It is recommended that you replace your Soladey brush head every 2-3 months, depending on your brushing habits. You should be brushing lightly with Soladey because it is the gentle flicking of the bristles that creates the ionic action. If you brush hard, the brisltes cannot flick properly and your heads will wear out sooner, just like any other toothbrush. If the bristles are matted down and cannot flick, it cannot work properly.
Soladey Ionic Toothbrushes FAQ
What makes Soladey different from an ordinary toothbrush?
Soladey has a patented design that is scientifically and clinically proven to significantly eliminate plaque more effectively than your regular toothbrush, without the use of toothpaste or dental floss. Soladey features a Titanium Oxide (TIO2) metal rod, which is sensitive to light. It creates a natural ionic chemical reaction that separates the plaque from your teeth enamel and removes tobacco, coffee and other stains using the natural attraction of ions.
You might have heard of a room ionizer that also produces ions. Plaque has particles with a positive charge – positive ions, when the Titanium Rod reacts with light; it creates negative ions that attract the positive ions, like a magnet. The plaque just disintegrates and falls off your teeth washing away when your rinse. Other stains are sucked right out of your teeth using this process.
What exactly is this light sensitive bar?
Our patented Titanium Rod is made of Titanium Dioxide – a metal which sensitive to light and has very special properties.
Do you use Soladey like an ordinary toothbrush?
Soladey is used similar to an ordinary toothbrush. After wetting the bristles with water, brush your teeth lightly and thoroughly in the same way as with an ordinary toothbrush. The longer you refrain from spitting, the more the saliva in your mouth works through a chemical-ionic reaction to dissolve the plaque in your teeth, also helping to remove stains.
Just make sure there is an adequate light source and don’t cover up the light-sensitive rod while brushing.
Will any light source do? I’m not going to have to go outside to clean my teeth, am I?
No, any light source will work—a fluorescent bathroom light, or a plain light bulb will do fine. Any natural or artificial light is all that’s needed. However, the better the light source is, and the more the Titanium Rod is in the light, the more effective Soladey is. Perfect your brushing habits by keeping the Titanium Rod in bright light as much as possible. The head of Soladey is smaller for this reason; it is a dental tool and should be used properly.
How do I know Soladey really works?
First, scientific studies prove that this works, there have been four clinical trials at four different dental universities in Canada and Japan, and they all found that the people who used Soladey had significantly less plaque on their teeth compared to the people who used the ordinary brush. The test also showed an improvement in gingivitis, so Soladey works to protect your gums – as well as reducing plaque.
This is not just “the latest gadget”. The scientific principals behind Soladey have been around since the 70s and Soladey has now been sold in Japan for a few years – where it sells 2 million brush units and 5 million replacement heads every year.
Can Soladey be used with or without toothpaste?
Yes, the ionic power of Soladey works with or without toothpaste. If you do want to use toothpaste, just make sure it doesn’t go all the way down the handle, blocking the light from getting to the light-sensitive rod. A strong light source is what makes Soladey most effective. If you wish to freshen your mouth we recommend using a natural mint rinse after brushing. By using Soleday everyday, dental plaque can be removed completely without toothpaste and our teeth are always white. Of course, coloring matters, on teeth, form by eating, drinking and smoking, can be removed. Soleday photo-electrochemically helps remove dental plaque, which causes tooth decay, gum disease and bad breath.
Is Soladey safe for children to use?
Yes, in fact one of the clinical trials was performed on school children and Soladey proved beneficial to their oral hygiene. Many parents say that Soladey has helped to reduce the time their children spend at the dentist’s office.
Can I use it with fillings?
Yes, it’s fine to use Soladey with—fillings, there’s no shock, jolting or vibrations. There are no negative side effects or reactions with dental fillings, enamel or other dental products.
Is the metal semiconductor safe?
Titanium dioxide, the metal from which the rod is made, does not dissolve or corrode in water, so it is perfectly safe.
A National Occupational Exposure Survey conducted by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health from 1981 – 1983, when Titanium Oxide was becoming widely used in day-to-day applications, shows that the estimated numbers of employees potentially exposed to Titanium Oxide (TIO2) everyday totaled 2,749,569 males and 540,849 females.
